Removes posts you've made without explanation. Suspends or bars you without explanation. Sends out unprofessional curt and rude messages. Does not respond to queries you raise.

they put my s5 under audi a5 and after i realised that my car was not appearing in the search results for s5, i contacted piston heads. they acknowledged they put it under wrong car heading but didnt apologise. so i lost a week on a paid advert (used to be free) and after enquiring why this happened i got no reply. i put a complaint and also no reply. terrible

If you like cars this website should come with a health warning - many hours will be lost !

A lot of forums suffer if there are a lot of sections, but Pistonheads has the shear weight of posters to keep most turning over nicely. Seems to be the 'go to' place for some marques. Only downside is a place so popular will naturally attract some idiots, but it seems the people behind the scenes actively filter, so trouble is brief and never becomes a problem.

Car traders have to pay £17 for a classified and the public pay £9.99??? So if I put on half my stock it would cost me £340... They are as greedy as Auto trader. The website is badly designed and hard to find your way round... I tried the site for a while but It didn't work for me, Its a shame as I would love to move away from Auto trader but not to another greedy company.

This is the arguably the best car site in the world. The forum are jam packed with useful info, classified contains tonnes of cars and if you want to sell one then you can upload an ad within minutes and expect your phone to be busy. News & Features is always updated with very interesting articles. If you consider yourself a PistonHead then look no further!!

Pistonheads should come with a health warning, or a wealth warning, or both. The forums have the ability to suck out time from your working day with alarming efficiency, a quick browse before "knuckling down" can often see you through to lunch. The classifieds contain such a wide array that you can start misty eyed, wondering why you can't afford half the stuff on offer (the reason being of course answered in that you didn't work for the first half of the day!). It's become a home from home, a great community to be part of.

I left my home country, as one does, on a Greyhound bus, cast out, in the words of Roderick Stuart, by the ones I loved, and found myself adrift, alone and bereft in a new and strange place the locals called the web. Clinging for comfort to the lightbulb bequeathed to me by the youngest of my birth mothers I somehow chanced upon Pistonheads. Oh, what wonders there confronted me! Almost impossible to classify. With the Alanis Morisette inducing exception of the classifieds, wherein I procured myself transport for the rest of my journey. I shall not detain you, dearest reader of these meagre words, with the trials that followed, of the long dark night that culminated in a travel lodge on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, the subsequent surgery and recuperation, or the joyous meeting with the lesser of the Chuckle Brothers, where the wisdom of the ages was bestowed upon your humble narrator. Let it simply be known that, throughout it all, and in accordance with the prophecy, it was Pistonheads that guided me.

...all of which have been sold to genuine people, within a few days of the ads going live with prices ranging from £1500 - £17,000. I've even sold a motorbike with a lapsed MOT with ease! Recommended and always used, the ease of uploading and fast response means I'm not going anywhere else. Cheap too at under a tenner.

Been a member know for in excess of 10 years, met so many like minded members overs the years some are now considered to be my greatest of friends. The site really has everything to offer the automotive enthusiast. It also has a plethora of forums & sub forums to cater for all marques of exotica and general driving cars. The classifieds are a joy every car imaginable on offer some you can afford and some you can't but we can a lest dream. Don't seem to get too many spam type adverts and the ones that do pop up from time to time get pulled PDQ. During most of the Day the forums buzz with activity, always something interesting to browse. The site is user friendly and apart from the occasional advert, uncluttered and cleanly. Long may it grow from strength to strength.

I have been a part of Pistonheads.com for over ten years. In that time I have been to some fantastic events; from doing 197mph up to runway at Bruntingthorpe to several continental road trips with great mates and fantastic cars. I have met a lot of real time friends through Pistonheads. It is much more than just a car forum.

Browsing PH Classifieds is one of the most dangerous wallet-ruining sports in the world. Great community based site that works hard to get it right without overt commercialism. Has brought me great laughs on the forums, some very good editorial at times and pretty much every car purchase I've made in the last 7 years or so.

Been a member on the site for nearly ten years now and have met an amazing group of friends. PH is a great place to meet like minded individuals who are nuts about all things petrol. the one thing that stands out above all else on the forums and at the meets is that it doesn't matter what car you drive to be a pistonheader, be it a mini metro or a Ferrari F40, you are always made welcome?

Ive been on pistonheads since the early days, made some great friends, and found out loads of things about buying and running my cars. its also a great place to find out about racing and ive even picked up a few business tips. The site is split between the news area and the forums. the journalist driven items are as high quality as any printed media, and the forums cover a vast spread of topics. well worth a browse.

I've been using this site for years, it's always been a great forum - incredibly busy, but these days you can lose hours in the classifieds, and watch Chris Harris videos. A great way to waste time and build your fantasy garage.

A bit of everything for all car and bike fans: the latest news and reviews, a comprehensive and easily searched classifieds section and a huge community of like-minded enthusiasts in the forums.

I've used this site to sell my wife's Golf and her Mini. It was really easy to create the ad and upload pictures, it was great value (just under a tenner - much cheaper than comparable sites) and I found that I got lots of phone calls and emails from people wanting to buy both cars. I eventually sold the Mini and the Golf to people I found through PistonHeads and I'd recommend it to others. I'm on PistonHeads all the time now. I can't leave the classifieds alone, there are just too many tempting cars on there. The forums are great as well - plenty of good advice and laughs to be had.

I use this site on a daily basis, both for the news and articles on the home page and the forums. Articles are often in depth and always well written, often the first for news about all things automotive. The forum provides a knowledgeable and helpful community on a great number of subjects, from Heath and fitness, cooking, photography, pets and of course all things automotive. I also really like the functionality of the forum with its clean design and excellent moderation. The classifieds have provided me with three cars, all described well with a good selection of photographs.

I agree, same experience. The company is run by some knuckle heads boys that have no customer service aptitude or knowledge of business protocol
