I was with animal friends pet insurance for over 8 years.

My dog Ronnie, who they were supposed to insure against vet expenses died after a short illness , in September of this year. He had a suspected brain tumour.

I sent in a claim form within the timescale to claim for Ronnies vet expenses ( minus the excess of £99) . FIVE WEEKS LATER , despite numerous emails to them , I have heard nothing from A F , it would seem that I am being ignored.

Judging by comments on social media regarding Animal Friends Insurance, I am not alone in this .

They claim to be the number one insurance company for pets , I don`t know where they`ve got that idea, as I`ve heard very little good said about them.

I would advise anyone wanting to insure their pets to avoid this company like the plague.

Cheapest is definitely not the best in my opinion. I`d just as well not have had insurance and kept the money that I`d paid A F in a piggy bank to pay for my dogs medical treatment. SHAME on them.
