I had the enormous privilege of eating at Hurst House in Dylan Thomas' village of Laugharne, Carmarthenshire. I believe this place only opened about three months ago I'm a bit of a foody type and can tell you hand on heart that if this were in london it would raved about on a quest for a "star." it was amazing, the menu was either all local produce, grown on site or made on site. it was exceptional and so too was the service. in paricular the crab cake with papya chukney. the fillet with shitake mushroom and pomme puree was divine and the deserts were exceptional. i honestly cant wait to go back.
