Its a great bike don't get me wrong but you get what you pay for, one or two problems with it such as the fuel filter just decaying so dirt can get into my carb, iv get 75 out of it in 4th but i don't want to push it into 5th.

Kaisar XTR 125

This bike i purchased as my first bike, a little 125 that would whizz me around from place to place, not cost me a bomb in fuel and also look pretty flipping snazzy too (at least in my opinion)

I was chugging along nicely i managed to get straight up to 60 (i thought) and could plod along nicely. Although when i got off and spoke to my dad who i had followed from the bike shop said we never went over 50? curios ay! Anywho, not really having too many problems, thought the gears were a bit stiff and i kept missing neutral but hey ho, i'm a new rider i'm bound to make mistakes, right!?

I started to have little niggles with the thing, screws seemed to need always tightening and such and the speedo seemed to always be saying i was going faster than i was, which actually leads me nicely to where everything started to go wrong.
The Speedo i was testing by following a car, seeing what the cars pace was and then what mine read. We reversed rolls so the car was following me and as i went down to a corner i put the front brake on but, uh oh, not slowing down! The stock with the accelerator grip on had twisted around to a point where when i pulled the lever, it got stuck on a nut. So not anticipating brake failure i end up in a lovely patch of grass with a cracked bike. But wait there's more!

Next, i'm riding along and the bike starts slowing, after a pang. I pull over in a bus stop, take a look at my front wheel and the arch has lost its screws, fallen onto the wheel and melted! Wonderful!

After taking it back and having a maverick mechanic try and solve problems with tape. I'm back on the road and zipping along!

But since that time i can say that its been a fantastic waste of time and money with one thing going wrong after the next. The list is as follows.

1.The rev counter has just packed up, it used to bounce but now it does nothing.

2.The Speedo has never read right I have been using the sat nav that I bought for work purposes to know how fast I am going. (the garage i got it from said they would replace it, but it probably won't make a difference, but when it does he'll ring me. Months on i'm still waiting)

3.I don't think a day goes by that a screw hasn't wangled its way lose.

4.The rear brake light switch has stopped working (minor I know but its all adds up)

5.The front disc has warped so now when i slow down it is like riding a bucking bronco.

6. There is a creak on the back disk, think that warping now too.

7. The bike seems to be rusting all over, faster than the Titanic.

9. Oh, and then yesterday the power started to drop out when I was riding. I went to accelerate, I did, then I didn't and then I did.

10. The gears stick. I have to use the stuck gear in order to free it up until it clicks again.

11. The exhaust never wanted to stay attached to the engine. The nuts kept coming off and it only stopped when applying loc-tight.

11. I have recently developed a clunk that sounds like it is coming from the gearbox when i decelerate.

12. The bike reads a false neutral, which is a frustration cause i always have to bring the clutch up slowly and see if it actually is in neutral. If i forget to check it i get that jerk and have to suffer the subsequent embarrassment because i then look like an incompetent learner.

I think i have covered everything, there might be more. The rest is general like, the bike isn't that fast, i have attached a sat nav as that is more accurate than the speedo, and it is agonizing getting to 60. If i want to get anywhere near a constant national speed limit, its by laying flat against the tank, the wind behind me and a preferable down hill section. The ride position isn't that great either as your arms seem to be in the way of the mirrors meaning you have to almost hug yourself to get a rear view. Oh and when your riding the vibration not only means that when you look in them its just a blur (not sure if that one happens to every bike) but when i take a look after slowing down i also find that they have moved and need altering.

Well i think i have ranted enough. Oh if anyone else has any issues with the bike please feel free to add. I'm currently accumulating a case to see whether the bikes are built to a standard where they should actually be on the road or not. I'm thinking not. I feel like i have cheated death everytime i finish a journey.

A decieving bike,I bought the Kaisar XTR 125 based on its looks but it really is just a cheap replica. The gear lever and stand have both snaped off, the paint is paper thin, it gives a false nutral,the revs are not constant (they randomly rise orfall on a regular basis), The gear lever does not go hard under foot when youare in first gear and it jams up a lot. Thats the worst of the problems I've had. At first I just put it down to bad luck but nobody gets it this bad.
