More monkeys round the next corner then a camel and some monkeys. Think you know where I'm going here.

I found this review very helpful because...it is absolutely correct. The monkeys were great, and I enjoyed looking at the chimps inside..and the babies. But, no atmosphere, no signs, and not the animals I expected. A zoo without a lion isnt a proper zoo. However, all the animals we saw were very healthy so that was good. Next time we visit a zoo it will be worth the extra hour and a half travel time to go to Colchester.

Paid £11 an adult x2 to get in (with gift aid donation of £1). and £7 for a child. Overall, expensive, not many animals other than monkeys, a lot of enclosures are either empty or badly designed so you cannot get near to them (reindeer case in point). Food prices are extortionate, more than motorway service stations (and that's saying something). The animal petting area was virtually void of animals.

TBH you are better off going to Ash End Farm for a… Read Full Review
