We bought this buggy 6 months ago, with the intention of using it soley for the purpose of a quick in and out of the car school pick up.It has since been back to be repaired three time because of the foot rest snapping. It has since snapped again and Im off to buy a trust worthy Maclaren again. The poppers on the hood dont work, the raincover has ripped and it is hard to push with a continual SQUEAK.THE WORST BUGGY IVE EVER BOUGHT.And I have three children and have had a few!!!!

“I bought the mama's and papa's nipi in the mojo jam...”

I bought the mama's and papa's nipi in the mojo jam colour for my then 8 month old daughter, to start it was lovely to push and felt light but sturdy. Within weeks the wheels squeaked and the seat didn't recline easily when my daughter feel asleep. I have no problem with the basket size but the rain cover doesn't attach very easily and has now ripped at the foot area, total waste of money and nothing nipi about it, it's the worst stroller i have had and having 3 children i have had a few.

“Mamas and Papas Nipi have a nice choice of colours....”

Mamas and Papas Nipi have a nice choice of colours. Quite lightweight but sturdy, seems well made. Doesn't tip up too easily. Lies almost flat so suitable from newborn. Pain you have to buy accessory pack separately. Good size strong basket. Hood gets dirty quite easily and hard to clean. I found raincover doesnt stay on very well (popper fastening). Really nice quality harness. Overall pretty good.

“I love my Nipi! After having read the reveiws on...”

★★★★☆

written by on 15/07/2009

I love my Nipi! After having read the reveiws on here, I was nervous about it arriving and it being awful. Far from it. It is a lovely light weight buggy, and fantastic 6kg compared to my 9kg Graco travel system. Yes the basket is small, but what do you expect from a compact, light weight buggy? All I want it for is to store the rain cover and parasol when not in use and it is more than big enough for those things. It is simple to put up and to collapse, when you get the hang of it. I love that the clip that holds it together when folded is not difficult to undo, as was the case on my Graco. At the moment the price is good, as you can get the buggy and weather accessory pack for a boout the full price of the buggy, bargain. I do begrudge, however, needing to buy the hood and raincover seperately, when they assume yo will get them as the instructions for them are in the booklet that come with the buggy. This is my only gripe with it. As it is suitable for use with a 3 month old plus, it lies flat, which I found very hard to find in a lihtweight buggy that was reasonably priced. The colours are great, though the Jam one, that I bought, is slightly pinker than I was expecting, but the orange, red and yellow in the design make up for it. It is alot sturdier than I was expecting having read the reviews, but I think it's great, and my DD seems to enjoy being pushed around in it and I find it much easier to push than my Graco. Heavier pram is great for tiny ones, but once babe is more organised in movement, these lighter ones are perfect for on and off the bus travel.

If you have looked at the Nipi and think you might like one, but are put off by these reviews, please don't be. It is a lovley little buggy, and I am glad I ignored most of these reviews and bought it!

“I love my Nipi! Aafter lengthly debate on whether I...”

I love my Nipi! Aafter lengthly debate on whether I should take the plunge and get the buggy, after reading thses reviews I was dubious, I ordered one and am very happy with it. I found i very difficult to find a buggy that fully reclined, as this one does, and that was also light weight. This buggy comes in at about 6kgs whichis so much lighter than my Graco monster! I think the lightness threw me at first, but it's a blessing in disquise. It's so much easier to manouvere around shops and my DD can sit up properly in it. The basket is small, but on a smaller buggy, what do you expect? I only want it to keep my parasol and rain cover somewhere and it's more than big enough for that. I do, however, begrudge having to buy the seperate weather pack when you do need it, so it should really be included, not sold as an extra accessory. But for the price I paid, the buggy and weather pack now cost about as much as the buggy alone, I'm very happy with it. I got it in Jam, which is slightly pinker than I was initially expecting, but the red, orang and yellow in it make up for it. All in all, I think it's a lovely little buggy and a complete bargain at the moment. PLease don't let the other reviews put you off it you really like the look of it.

The Mamas and Papas Nipi is a well nice to look at buggy had lots of comments i bought the lime one! I find it difficult to recline when child in this and my child is only 8 mnths god knows how i will be able to do this when child is older ! cant bump it up smallest step as brake seems to catch. I cant lift the buggy as have bad back dont know how long it will last seems great buggy until you start to use it! Its such a shame it wasnt cheap and my grandmother bought it for me for having in car even though she didnt like colour now i feel im stuck with it as dont want to offened! also wouldnt recommend putting anything on the hood because i think it warps very easy! Beach bag good idea but wouldnt it be great if strap was a bit longer to use as pram bag!

“Bought this stroller for my 9 month old as we were...”

Bought this stroller for my 9 month old as we were going on holiday. It cost well over £100 with the accessories. The parasol broke in the airport on the way out. One year later the wheels squeak like you wouldn't believe and despite only being used occasionally for shopping it looks really grubby - the hood in particular. It has been in to be serviced but within a week it seems as bad as ever! They have now discontinued the colour we got so I can't even get a replacement hood. Very disappointing. My friend got Silver Cross POP at the same time and it is still as good as new.

The main good point of the Mamas and Papas Nipi has to be how easy it folds, The catch keeps it folded and is really easy to use. It also reclines really easily.

I would say the bad points of this buggy is that the brakes seem to catch when I bump backwards up stairs and the wheels are really squeaky.

Good for nipping to the shops and great for holidays but not very good for stairs in my opinion.

“I bought this pushchair when my 3 year old Maclaren...”

written by rbleazard on 04/01/2008

I bought this pushchair when my 3 year old Maclaren was showing its age. What a waste of money! After two weeks, the wheels were worse than shopping trolleys, there is a really loud squeak on all wheels that WD40 won't cure. The brakes are positioned such that if you ever have to bump the pushchair up and down steps, they get in the way. And if your child is in a reclined position, you can't get into the very small basket underneath. I'm off to buy another Maclaren!
