i review a lot of movies and TV views and i used to use IMDb as a good sounding board for what people thought of a film, but i have started to notice that big budget releases always seemed to have good ratings even when the public conversely did not like or think highly of said movie.

But worse

when i left negative reviews my reviews were not printed and my votes were not counted.

It is my opinion that IMDB cannot be trusted

I no longer trust any of IMDBs rating or reviews

this site is an excellent resource to both fans and film-makers, as well as for students. i used this site during my a-level coursework because it allowed me to search for film titles by genre, actor, director, period, title etc.. it made my work much easier, and each film is given a detailed, simple to understand review. everything you need. there is even a link to show if it is available on vhs or dvd i this country and even whether or not there is a coundtrack or score to accompany it. this site does have a flaw though. it is not strictly complicated by is filled with links and comments that can seem daunting and quite complex to a new user. but once gotten used to, all is well and your research can commence.

IMDB is like Google, it's one of those services you use without even thinking about it. Whenever i want to find out something about a new movie or just find out who was acting in a movie or TV show i just watched IMDB is the place i go to.

Internet Movie Database have movie reviews for just about every hollywood movie you could think of. Overall decent site worth checking out. us.imdb.com
