“Great tour of a fab stadium!”

Written on: 17/03/2014 by jprandjrr (7 reviews written)

Being a big City fan I may be a bit biased, but have tried to make this review as objective and impartial as possible! There were about 20 in our group, including a few young(ish) kids, who might've got bored easily cos the tour was 90 mins long. That the time flew by was due to the fact that the stadium combines a modern, high tech and upmarket feel with a genuine recognition and deference to City's illustrious history. There are images of great players and events, past and present, everywhere. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and able to keep the youngsters interested with a few questions and "challenges" as we went around. We took oodles of photos, there was nothing we weren't permitted to photograph. You don't need to be a City supporter to enjoy this experience. There were a couple of Barcelona and Real Madrid fans on our tour who seemed equally impressed. The former was roundly booed since his lot had just knocked us out of the Champs League, but he took it in good spirit! I paid £14, I think kids are about £7. Tremendous value all round. Highly recommended.

“The Manchester City museum experience is really...”

Written on: 04/04/2008 by mike (1 review written)

The Manchester City museum experience is really enjoyable. It is well organised and the staff are really knowledgeable. The displays are varied and changed on quite a frequent basis to keep the you interested on a return visit. Hopefully the trophy cabinet will be added to soon so that there will be some stories to tell and memorabilia from today. You can always pop into the cafe for a snack or a visit to the Manchester City store where you will be met by friendly and efficient staff.
