Absolutely love this place but today on Father’s Day, the service was horrendous. No thank you or any kind of good service. Only the manager and the other guy. The one girl working seemed lovely, but the tall big manager was rude. The other guy was also rude. Been coming here for years but as a family we decided now that we will go elsewhere just because today was shocking. I understand customer service and work in this area myself but from a restaurant point of view, very shocking today. Saying sorry for getting drinks and meals wrong is excepting (which the two men didn’t) but not even saying sorry for taking and clearing the table before our food arrived was horrific. We ordered our food and put our drinks on the table and then went outside to enjoy the weather for 10 minutes since it was a 45 minute wait for food (which we knew about on the receipt) Came back to find our table cleared of all drinks and they wouldn’t even say sorry OR replace them because “you left the table” Absolutely shocked!! It was nice dining here for many years BUT unfortunately we will no longer and I couldn’t recommend you to friends under this managent.

Just got back from The Fendrod LLansamlet. What an absolute shambles. About 5 tables complained. Food was freezing. Asked for steak well cooked, it came out pissing out with blood. Took it back to re Cook it then I couldn't even eat it! Would of knocked someone out if I had thrown it at them. Waiter handed me dirty spoons. Gave me the wrong dessert twice! Brought out wrong Sauce, brought out eggs on little saucers. Chocolate cake with balsamic vinegar instead of chocolate sauce! Service was horrendous. 6 of us there together all eating separately. Food came out in dribs and drabs. Asked for a spoon about 3 times before being given a filthy one with all food stuck on it. Told the manager she brought me wrong dessert again and she asks do you want me to take that back? Obviously! it wasn't what I ordered! Waited about an hour for desserts and even then they came out one by one with intervals of about 15 mins between each one. The waiter looked about 10 years old. Had to ask him to clear our table when he brought out the desserts. Told the manager the meal wad a shambles, didn't even get an apology. Absolutely ruined the evening as it was a 25th Wedding Anniversary Meal. Won't be returning any time soon that's for sure!

Well what a welcome we had when we arrived at your pub on fathers day at 3.45 pm!absolutely terrible! Myself , my husband and 2 children were greeted by a male member of staff clearing tables to tell us it was over an hour wait for food in a very abrupt tone! we didnt even ask him how long the food was going to be, but he obviously didnt want us to be there!! so we left and gave our custon to someone else and will not be returning!! Shocking service!!

Me my partner and our daughter went to the fendrod llansamlet and after waiting an hour the rudest waitress slammed our food on the table and walked away without saying anything. My partners whole chicken was terribly dry and some parts he couldn't even put his knife through it! After he took it up to complain about it he was then told that there was nothing they could do about it and if he would like another he would have to wait (probably another hour) i will never set foot in that place again! Staff were so rude! Didnt offer him a refund just basically ignored us! Over priced disgusting food with the worsed staff! Absolutely terrible.

Me and my partner went to the Fendrod for food and I ended up having food poising from it. The worst meal and service I have ever had. I ordered a burger that was supposed to have onion rings in it. When the food came they were no were to be seen so after waiting for a member of staff to appear I went to query this and hand my plate back. I was told to keep hold of my food and he would bring me some onion rings. After waiting again I eventually had a bowl of 3 slid across the table to me. Asolutely, disgsting, stinking dirty, bad mannered, rude, over priced hole. I would never go there again, nor recommend anybody else to. 3 days of work sick for the privelage as well

having arived at the Fendrod , a pub that we have had food in many times over the years , I was amazed to find the carpark at the rear over grown and the place looked closed infact derelict . as I walked further onto the weed infested cigarete piled patio that had not been swept for sometime and looked at the garden furnature which was in dire need of maintainance , still not to be put off I looked through the windows to see people inside . I ventureed in and my partner ordered two large steak and ale pies with chips . ERROR ERROR ERROR . WHEN THE PIES CAME THEY HAD BEEN MICROWAVED AND WERE SOGGY with very little stake and no ale taste at all the peas were like bullets and the gravey tasted like bisto we will not be going again

i ordered the large mixed grill from the The Fendrod, Llansamlet, Swansea, when it arrived the sausages were badly burnt, the waitress took the meal back, it was braught back out 2 mins later with some more burnt sausages. the pork chop was raw in the middle, unfortunatly i had eaten half of it by the time i found out, i was given a refund after complaining...

I wouldn't recommend the Fendrod in Swansea to anybody.
I have tried it on several occassions and had the same problems each time so i know stay well clear of the place.
It is basic pub food - very small portions but at a very small price. However I don't think that what you get is worth what you pay.

The Fendrod in Llansamlet, Swansea is one of these privately owned but franchised pubs that promises a warm welcome, staff who take an interest in their customers and a chef who does extremely well with the goods available to him or her.
The place is always full, and the service always attentive. Yesterday my steak and chips arrived promptly, and the waitress (a mature lady) was full of humour and banter.
The steak was actually cooked medium as requested (a rare occurrence), the chips crisp and fluffy on the inside and the mustard I requested came in plentiful supply.
Looking around I could see shoppers and passers by of all ages enjoying their meals - from babies to retired couples.
It isn't amazing, and in some senses nothing to write home about, but the chef consistently produces a quality meal, in a very short time, and the staff are lovely.
I'd recommend this as a far better option to the motorway rubbish on offer locally, as this is only a mile or so from the M4. Oh, and it's cheap too (my 4oz steak and chips came in at under £4! - the chef indeed has talent)!
