Playa de las Americas, Spring Hotel Vulcano

Very noisy area in the evening until 11pm. Pool area is very crowded with rows of beds under a series of slatted canopies. Guests are mostly OAPs and it is really not suitable for children. The staff are excellent but the hotel needs an exterior refurbishment urgently. Biggest single issue we have is that you have to pay for use of the fridge then for tea, coffee, and water in the room. You are not allowed to use the water you have already purchased in the hotel in its own dining room. This is bizarre.No water is provided unless you pay for it. It is supplied in crown top bottles, suitable for re-use unlike the sealed plastic bottles that water is normally supplied in. Having paid extra for a pool view, for a fridge, for tea, for coffee, and for water we really object to this very questionable practice but were told by the head waiter that it is policy in spring hotels. You have been warned!
