When I went to the seller to buy the new one, he simply suggested me the Apple Macbook Pro. As many of my friends have advised me for this one, I simply agreed to him, and moved ahead to buy that one. What one can say about Apple MacBook Pro. They are simply great. Their laptops stand apart from any of the other brands. Their delivery process is quick as well. The packaging was remarkable as expected, sleek and proper. The accessories are also incomparable like the keyboard is also great. I use it for longer times and found that the battery life is quite good.

I went shopping for a new computer, the seller recommended me a Mac for the type of work I would need it for. Its been now 2 weeks I have it and wow am I impressed. The quality and the easiness of it just astonishes me. I am glad I paid the extra bucks for this computer, no regrets!

I have been using Windows since it was invented, and it was a big decision to change. I went for about the top of the range MBP, and I have only had it for 3 days. The ordering and delivery process (from the Apple Store) could not really have been better. It arrived here early in the quoted delivery slot, brought by UPS. The appearance and packaging is as slick as you would expect. I'm only scratching at the surface of the capability of this machine, which is light years faster than my old Vaio. The keyboard is great. Battery life is awsome. I was so annoyed however to find that I could not watch the IPlayer (BBC) without installing Flash Player, if I wanted that kind of grief I could have stayed with Windows. Safari I'm afraid I can't be bothered with, and have gone back to Chrome which is so much easier. Equally, the Pages word processor seems not to be designed to actually help MS Office users to change (or to work with others), and so, rather than buying Office for over £100, I have installed LibreOffice, which I can certainly live with. The trackpad is terrific at some things, I have plugged in my old mouse for desk work however as it is so familiar. Actually I think the help information on the Apple Store is wrong in places about the trackpad, especially about the 3 finger functions, and the information in the Macbook itself (in system prefs) is more help. My MBP has the i7 processor, extra memory, and a 512GB flash drive, and is very fast indeed compared to what I have been used to. The operating system is not completely intuitive but is not hard to learn. The Finder is good compared to Explorer (in Vista) and there is an excellent search tool (I have put a very large number of files on, arranged in a structure that suits me, and this was an aspect that had worried me as I could not find anyone to explain - but it is OK). Also the screen is amazing! A lot of money spent, but no regrets.

This is the second Mac I buy, I used to have a white MacBook and I now upgraded to a MacBook pro, I absolutely love this machine, I never had one single problem with it, so simple and intuitive to use, always fast and reliable, never crashes and never slows down, installing and uninstalling programs is so easy, and the overall look is just so slick. I really recommend it to anyone.

I went to a work shop run by a University in Manchester and a few of the students had Apple Macs and I must admit they looked pretty good, my old windows laptop was OK, but kept crashing and are prone to viruses so i made my mind up that I indeed would take the plunge, the people in the apple store were amazing and very helpful indeed, but shop around as there are deals on the web to get them a little cheaper, but ultimately you pay for what you get, im still learning to get to grips with the MAC but i am so glad that i am, it is awesome from the time it takes from turning it on to getting your emails to surfing - these make the internet pleasurable nevermind the hidden gems that come with the apple mac as standard - truly amazing and i am converted. Try before you buy though as it may not be for you.

I used to have PC only, I was even belonging to the people saying it's silly to pay more for a mac... Well I switched to Mac one year ago and I have to say there is not a single day I would regret this choice! Great design, easy interface, infinite possibilities, great customer care and guarantees... The Mac Book Pro is really a great working tool, it reacts fast and is 100% reliable! I never experienced any single trouble with this computer, and I would definitively buy Apple again!

By using this Laptop I got 99% satisfaction. The build quality of the new MacBook Pro is excellent, and the new Lion operating system is sophisticated and very stable. It is very fast to start windows and takes only 2 seconds to shut down. My only problem are the little things, finder can be irritating if you're an obsessive compulsive person, full screen windows have to manually manipulated. It's graphics supporting is really nice and so I am very comfortable to work on many high graphics required software. So just I am suggesting you for buying it to get an excellent service.

i bought this laptop to see what all the fuss is about and from what i can see it is a good laptop being a computer geek i have tested it to its max and it still runs stable and fast when put under a lot of stress it is fast and starting up and takes about 2 seconds to shut down (WOW) the osx lion is a good operating system fast, the only down side to owning a mac is when you want to link it up to your home server, it dosent like talking to windows 7 so have had to take it off the network. also if you have a external harddrive formated to ntfs mac wont recognize it so have to refomat it to fat 32, over all the look of the laptop is nice and strong, it has a very good battery life better than any windows laptops, i have had over 12 hours out the battery. hope this review helps some of you guys out there!

I've just changed from a windows laptop/windows pc to a more expensive macbook pro 17" 2012. One of the best things I've ever done. No freezing, no crashing, no viruses, no blue-screens, no errors and a completely flawless operating system. It's fast, has an i7 processor and lots of added extras. Well worth the money. Don't listen to negative reviews - they either can't afford the apple product or they're obsessed with Windows. Once you get rid of the virus-riddled, slow Windows systems, and adapt to this contemporary, streamline, gorgeous laptop, you'll never go back! The screen is very sleek and high definition, colours look fantastic. Macs have lots of cool features - the touch pad is multitouch so you can use gestures and use it as a tablet! So good! The laptop is very quiet unlike most windows laptops, and it's very easy to clean as it's not cheap plastics like all other laptops. High quality glass and metal, it looks great and plays all my HD games with great speed. The graphics are good and it's great for playing GTA, CoD, Angry Birds and other games. Although slightly more expensive, it's worth it, as it'll last years. You also don't have to pay for repairs like you do with windows laptops - apple products are repaired for free.

It all depends on what you do with laptop to determine whether you buy mac or pc, I've used both since I were a youngun and can say my life has been easier since I went mac (you never go back). It also has that pulling power that all other laptops never to bother to emulate, if you're into looks that is. However macbook pros have the power to back it up. My only problem are the little things, finder can be irritating if you're an obsessive compulsive person, full screen windows have to manually manipulated, the offical mac mouse set to max-speed is still abismally slow - you need to buy a normal mouse from another manufacturer or download app (not free)... These aren't dealbreakers, just stuff we take for granted from windows, so close to perfection osx, so close.

It is a good laptop,I am very like it!If the battery dies, then the laptop isn't as useful, because it will need to be plugged in at all times in order to function. ~~laptopinc。COM 。au~~ tell you the way to solve this is to purchase.

This laptop is very reliable and easy to use. Aside from the wonderful features it has, it carries enough protection that can prevent your identity from hackers. The availability of the iClouds, allows me to store more files aside from my hardware, which I usually do not prefer in storing big files. Love it

As a massive fan of apple products for quite some time i was not at all surprised to see them out do themselves in the quality of their products! The new operating system "Lion" is a pleasure to use and the optional 8GB of Ram really makes running high end software a breeze. Slightly on the pricey side but then they usually are but i am more than happy to pay extra as i know it will keep going for years as my old MacBook did. Battery Life seems to of improved but i reckon if they good squeeze another hour out of it the laptop would be near perfect! Would highly recommend it!

I was using crappy dell laptops for a long time. Even though i know apple laptops are the best i was hesitant because as a windows only computer user i thought learning a new operating system will be hard. But it was much easier and intuitive to learn the os. If you are still a windows user, ditch that old dell laptop and go buy a apple product!

This is my first mac, and I all I can say is wow. This is far better than PC the software Mac OS X is amazing with all new features like "iLife 11" which gives all these new opportunity's for pics, music, movies, and now the new back up system in Os that stores every sec of well everything so you will never loses and thing. The software is not the only thing the hardware is amazing as well with more memory and hard drive space big graphics chip and better resolution and better wireless reception. This is far one of the best laptops I have ever used. Dell, Hp, Acer, and all windows consumers they got nothing on apple. I will never go back to PC, I will stay Mac. Switch NOW!!

There is a saying that a Macintosh user cannot use a PC but a PC user can use a Macintosh. This is because that the Mac is a dream to use and really is 'plug and play'. The build quality of the new MacBook Pro is excellent, and the new Lion operating system is sophisticated and very stable. All the applications – like Adobe CS – loaded without problems and perform very well. And there is the legendary Macintosh reliability behind the ownership of this superb computer. Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for. And, if you depend on your computer, isn't this a price worth paying?

I bought this machine for my parter 3 months ago and she loves it The quality of the physical thing is far higher than most windows machines out there, it is a beautiful thing to look and feel. However the operating system really is not that intuitive at time when you have come from a windows environment. One example is that where you can alt + tab in windows and flick between every individual one. Where as on the Apple, you can only seem to flick between applications, not their seperate windows. Other points to note are that the mice do not seem as responsive as a windows machine. I have tweaked settings and seem to still get the same result. Despite using and apple mouse. One other thing, get Microsoft Office for Apple. iWork totally sucks. Apart from the animated graphs in keynote, it is not very good! Thanks

Grumb's Response to GrumB's Review

This is a PS to my own review.
My scanners don't work with this new MBP. I don't think I am alone with this problem, which appears to be associated with the new OS (Mavericks). So, my scanners are quite old and I might well need to buy a new one. But read on.
On the Apple Store's Q&As the information appears to be that, even if I were to buy a brand new Epson scanner from them, it wouldn't work with the computer that they have just sold me. I asked Apple for an official comment and they declined. Their customer adviser gave me gibberish about how it wouldn't work because Epson have released new drivers.....But it is clearly nothing to do with the scanner manufacturers at all. It appears that the clever people at Apple think it is a good idea that I should have to revert to my old computer for scanning. If I sold a car, and lets suppose that something like the aircon was not functional, I'd tell buyers first.
