I have renewed with home protect but for some reason they are incapable of taking my premium leaving me very concerned my cover is not in place, I have had 3 conversations where i have been assured it is now all rectified but still they refuse to take the premiums, the wait on the phone each time is around 20-30 mins, i will not renew next year… Read Full Review

I took out empty property insurance as a landlord to allow refurbishment. Homeprotect then took the money each month plus as extra £10 without explanation and never sent any documentation or communication so that the only way I could cancel the insurance after 3 mo the of trying was to shut down the Direct Debit with the bank. However, nine months in and we have received not a single penny in cashback from the company. We have yet to claim on the policy so cannot comment on the company's level of service beyond policy confirmation emails. I appreciate that managing social media/online must be a nightmare, so I don't wish to make it worse. However, the fact there is a delay is quite clear already.
A timescale of when the issue will be rectified would be more useful.

So far I have nothing positive I could possibly say about this company. It took nearly 4 hours and 6 phone calls to set up the initial policy, which didn't start on the day arranged. When I called up for a 7th time, they had no reference of the policy so had to start the entire process again. I've now been charged twice for the policy, and they have no record of taking payment. “Avoid never Answering the phone ”

Been with this company for a couple of years never claim, but then when I tried to call them for a few time nobody answer the phone and one time they answer after I was waiting for more the 20 munites to cancel the Insurance. They charge me £95 for cancelling the contract after 20 days of the beginning of the year, their answer was I passe 14 days cooling-off period which was not my fault. My annual fees were £224, to cancel they will charge you nearly half of the premium. … Read Full Review
