“Good price ”

I took landlords insurance with Home Protect. The price was better then available direct with insurer. However I was really disappointed that in one year it went up £78 even though I had no claims. I called to try to work out any way to reduce it but they couldn’t do anything for me. Shame as I have been with them for some years now. However despite this the price was still ok so I went with them.

“Good value ”

I had a renewal at 45% more than the previous year with my previous insurer. I checked around and got the same cover with Home Protect for the same premium I paid last year. I consider that good value.

“Avoid at all costs… do not use this Company..”

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS…… AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS… Payed my insurance premiums to this company only to be told after 4 months of having a hole in my roof that it’s down to poor workmanship and my claim is not covered. There is no customer services with home protect they just don’t call you back for nothing… a one off storm event has nothing to do with the condition of the roof.. please do not use this company as they will take your money and not cover you and remember the surveying officer that comes to the property is the wolf in sheep’s clothing for home protect this claim was all ways getting declined. DO NOT USE THEM.

“Simply awful company that speak in riddles”

I was insured with Home Protect for 8… I was insured with Home Protect for 8 years until today. Never again, I cancelled my insurance due to underhand tactics to charge me more for my policy due to their own errors. The company simply does not speak English, they deal in riddles and so many get out clauses their service is worthless. I could not get a straight conversation with their representative today. There are many more insurers out there who provide a much clearer and friendlier and honest service out there. I wont touch this company again and suggest that anyone considering them looks elsewhere also. I shall write a more detailed and scathing review when I have more time but wanted to put up this warning immediately to hopefully avoid others considering using them from havin g the same awful experience!

I recently took out a Home Insurance policy with Home Protect as previous insurer quote was high despite no claims during year, I used Go Compare and found Home Protect. They were offering everything I needed at a sensible premium. Admin so far is very good - ie policy paperwork has arrived electronically and looks spot on - also very clearly set out. So, so far a thumbs-up !!

“Ideal for an eco house”

I have a house and contents insurance policy with Home Protect, the actual insurer being AXA Insurance UK plc. Some of my details on which the premium was based have changed (improved). Should I contact Home protect or AXA to notify these changes, and in order to submit proof of changes would need to notify by post so can I get an address for either Home Protect or Axa as the case may be?

I'm not an expert but I would say your policy is with Home Protect, it's just underwritten by Axa. Therefore all correspondence should be with Home Protect. I suggest you give them a call to discuss your change of details and let them tell if you need to do anything further.

Hi, It would be best to contact Home Protect by phone and update your policy. There is a proper term for it like mid-contract something or other but if you notify Home Protect, they'll deal with AXA themselves.
