I ordered the Skullcandy Lowrider Headphones / In Ear Double Pack / White from play. Com….. Having ordered the item on the 10th November 2011 with an original release date of the 11th, the release date was pushed back to the 29th November 2011. This wasn’t a bad thing, as they were for Christmas, so I thought nothing of it. By the 30th January the skip/pause/ rewind button on the Low-rider Headphones had stopped working. I contacted Play.com to ask for a new set or replacement, I received a generic response to my query and they did not publish my review on their website. 2 ½ months later the in-ear earphones have stopped working. These are not fit for purpose, as I am now unable to use both of them… to add insult to injury, I can’t return them either! I’d give them no starts if I could, but 1 is the minimum you can give. It would have been beneficial to know that I would be unable to return the item (even broken) after the 30 days had expired!!!

Customer service for UK and Europe is terrible, and terrible is being polite...I could use a lot stronger words for their customer service!
Love the product but broke recently due to general wear and tear (faulty connection on jack) and getting a response from the UK team is almost impossible with them suggesting things like take them back to the shop where purchased even though they apparently offer a 'lifetime manufacturers warranty'. Total bs!!!
Would avoid buying these simply due to extremely poor customer service. Maybe give it a year or so until they have actually set up their European operations fully!

Giving this product one star is one too many.
Right side stopped working. Expecting a loose cable on inspection there was nothing obvious inside the earpiece so could be a speaker fault or a bad connection or break at the jack-plug end. Further inspection was aborted as sound production was worse than the earplugs I bought on an aeroplane. Now in the plastic re-cycle bin where they belong. If you are a skier, forget tweeness go for class; if you're a boarder buy those so cheap that they are really 'disposable'like the plug kind - and stay away from the skiers!

They look great, but appalling quality. Used them for around 6 months before they snapped in half. Very flimsy considering the amount of money they cost.
Sounds quality is OK, not great but average. Comfort is poor, can feel too "tight" around the top of the ear, and start to ache a little after using them for around 30 minutes.
Won't be buying them again, terrible quality!

In my opinion, Skullcandy is just for looks, their designs are indeed nice, but the quality of the sound can be improved. Mine lasted 5 months and, for a £40 pair of headphones, that is a damn shame.

First of all I'd just like to mention I go thorough and test out lot of headphones. The other day I went past a cheap deal on the headphones from TKMAX discount store in UK. So I Thought I might as well as they were only about $15. As I looked at reviews I sort of knew what it was going to be like. As soon as I opened up the headphones and layed them down the first thing I did was get some electrical tape and tape down the area where the wire enters the ear cup and just above the jack. I do this to try to give it a longer life. So I compared it to $12 Sony Studio MDR-V150.
POSITIVE:
Design
Color Options
Wire Length
NEGATIVE:
Sound Quality
Bass
Durability of Headphones Overall
Comfort
Loose wires
Ive had these headphones for about 4 months and they've just about lasted. Overall I would not recommentd this or any other skullcandy headphones. SKULLCANDY ONLY GOOD DESIGN. NO QUALITY IN THE SOUND OR PRODUCT. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER HEADPHONES IN THIS PRICE RANGE. SEE SONY OR SEINHESSER.

I've had 2 sets of these. Seeing as the first broke within 4 months. The cord breaks inside and either side of the headphone doesnt work. Then I got another pair, I have no idea why, and the same thing happened. Plus, I feel if I was to put any force on them, that they'd break like a twig.
I would not recommend these, the sound quality isn't fantatsic and after a little usage the part which slids to fit your head... BROKE!
Don't buy them, its a waste of money.

they are horrible, they are made out of cheap plastic yet cost £22.00, skullcandy have really failed at making a cheap affordable GOOD headphone. i only just bought mine and i am dissapointed, i expected metal parts and hard anti shock plastic , i could snap the headring by just dropping them lightly. the sound quality is very good on the upside , its about the only thing i can think of thats decent , i bought the yellow ones and personally i want to sell them but who would want to buy them ?! i wanted to have a good reliable pair of headphones that were cheap , but obviously its to much to ask for from skullcandy, if they hadnt of got the pictures on the sides i can bet my money they would cost just under 8 pound.

Got these for £17 i like them so far, look gd but as the other skullcandy owners say its made of cheap plastic, as they were close to break but overall nice looking headphones good price but again bad build.

I bought these headphones about 4 months ago. I love the sound they give, The cord is perfect length and they look pretty badass! I did alot of research before spending £35 on them. I came across reviews saying that they snapped without any force put onto them. I thought, whats the chances of that happening to me? I took great care of them. Then this morning i went to put them on and the head band snapped! No force put on the at all! Id say, dont waste your money on somthing thats just going to break. do some research and buy somthing thats quality over looks.

These headphones are designed to go over hats and helmets, hence the loose fitting without said head wear. I have had mine over a year...sat on them, trod on them, thrown them about and thrown myself about whilst wearing them and they are still intact. They are designed with an active lifestyle in mind, not for walking around posing in them. Go for a different model if you just use them for walking or sitting around in. The sound quality is very good and drowns out everything around you. You can tighten the headphones if they are still too loose. Fiddle about with the tiny screws on the top and that should do the trick.

They're Great!! I'm a huge music fan and these fill all my needs in a pair of headphones. They are compact too so much esier for transportation.

i bought these Skullcandy Lowrider headphones and used them rarely, whilst removing the headphones the neckpiece snapped without a slight use of any force, i loved the sound quality and colour of these heads but the quality of the build is very poor, i would seriously consider these heads again, but only if the build quality was much more substantial, hope i get a refund. :/

owned these Skullcandy Lowrider headphones for less than a week and they snapped whilst taking them off my neck with little force!! flimsy build quality, made of cheap brittle plastic!! although they came in a awesome range of colours thats where the good points end!! dont waste your money, i'm trying to get a refund!!

These Skullcandy Lowrider headphones have very poor sound quality compared to some of another leading brand. I bought them as an update to some that are a few years old now (of another brand) and they just don't compare. The sound is lacking depth, the headphones feel flimsy and don't curve to fit my ears properly. When I put my other headphones on it feels more like you're actively listening to the music, when I put the skull candy headphones on it sounds like the music is in the background. I have listened to other products in the skullcandy range and they are better.

I've had 2x broke on headband from Skullcandy Lowrider, no way is it abuse, I take care of my equipment.
Filled out warranty page 5 days ago, still have not heard anything back. From surfing the web, it appears these things are junk and not worth the money.
DON'T BUY THEM.....

Skull Candy Low Riders
After paying £32 for these head phones in HMV I had fairly high hopes. The sound i think has possible a little too much bass to it but on the flip side they do go very loud! However my real problem is not with the sound but with the build quality. I bought my first pair just before Christmas and after 2 weeks of very low usage (sat with my laptop) they snapped both sides on the join just before the padded head band starts whilst putting them on. I got some replacements and last week they have done exactly the same thing ' . Not impressed!!! Took them back to HMV again and the man said i was the 3rd person in a week that has had the same problem!
If your thinking of spending £30 + on a set of head phones I think there is much better quality out there but unfortunately will not look as cool though!
