The easiest thing for me to do is work through each event: Bar Crawl: How you detail this on your website is really misleading! Confused to how this worked, I called your contact associated with this part of the package, thinking we would have some guidance? To be told ‘just walk around and turn up’. The best thing about this, all the places listed for VIP access where free to walk into??? Absolute no value and can’t see what benefit it had to the stag party. Misleading advertisement! Go Karting: An absolute joke. After a 30 min drive out of the city, to a coach cost of circa £300, to turn up to a rundown shed with the world’s smallest track. Karting Nation & Team Sport are just 2 of the other places sourced very close to Gateshead and both having a reputable name. Why send us out so far to an absolute shed? Absolute disappointment ! Female Stripper: HAHA, one experience that will never be forgotten, for all the wrong reasons. Reading this, you might get a laugh out of it to! So we turn up at a Karaoke bar, yes, we were confused also. After a couple of minutes and a call, I then meet with someone. We are then taken upstairs to a function room and asked to pay our “compulsory £10 drinks package”……really?! When I asked her why we have to pay, she explained that part of the money goes towards the room hire and it should have been explained to me. Anyway, why her friend sets up the music on the adjacent TV through YouTube, the stag is taken up to the make shift stage arrangement. The dance begins only to be awkwardly stopped, due to YouTube buffering ! wow ! We got to a point where her friend is stood playing music through her iPhone ! Extra £150 expense with a very, very awkwardly performed strip ! Bubble Football: 10AM shout after a heavy night, but all good, they had a bar onsite. So to sum it up, There only saving grace, was the hotel. However, they can’t even thank themselves on that one, that was thanks to Covid !

“Don't book with this company!”

Booked a hen do for 2020 was cancelled due to covid was told I could have a full refund or to re book, didn't confirm they tried adding more money on as they could not get rooms for us so we was told we would need to pay for a whole extra person per room, so we decided to only do the activities with them and was then told we could not have a refund on any extra paid, nothing was confirmed so they was not losing money but want to keep ours. If I don't get my refund due I will be seeking legal advice. So I would not book with these people! Go to somewhere else, they just want to keep your money! Was only booked like this so it was stress feel and it is not.

“Awful company ”

Absolutely disgusted with this company. Booked an event for a hen weekend and 2 days before we are informed it’s not going ahead and that we will only get a smaller amount back than we paid or we can go next year! Quick to take people’s money but certainly don’t like returning it! Avoid this awful company.

After booking a hendo For May 2020, freedom contacted us to let us now he could no longer go ahead due to the event being cancelled, ( with covid rules) at this point as they cannot provide the service you would think you would get a refund in full for what you have paid? However freedom does not think this is the case. After over a year of waiting for a resolution freedom has offered a partial refund, minus £24.50 off each person which is over £500in total . They say it is because they have paid deposits, however as the event was cancelled I do not believe that this would’ve been refunded to them. This hasn’t been resolved yet but will be getting legal advise as this has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!”

I had a team booking for 2 events in Barcelona as part of a Hen do package. This cost £100 in total. The Hen do was due to go ahead in June 2020 - obviously due to the current circumstances with Covid 19 this could not go ahead. I tried to contact them regarding the monies that were paid but they refused to talk to me and would only speak to the group leader. With this the group leader contacted them and they said they cannot refund the monies for this and can only change the date or location of the event. This we were obviously not happy with and pushed them further. I lost patience with them and decided to do a claim back through my bank. My bank refunded me the monies straight away and said they would investigate the matter with Freedom Ltd. Since this Freedom have emailed the group leader to say they are disputing my chargeback and as a good will they will refund all members £75 of the £100 paid as the £25 was the deposit and it goes towards their contracts with the companies that we were using (Freedom Ltd being the middle man). They then again wrote to the group leader and said they had been successful with the claim back and they had the monies in their account from my claim. With this i checked my bank and no monies had been taken from my account, so I called the bank to see what was going on. The bank then told me the claim had been marked as resolved a month ago. I have had no letter from my Bank to state that the claim has been unsuccessful my side, and therefore they deemed the claim as won on my part. I am absolutely furious with what they have said about getting the monies back from me just so they can keep part of the other members monies - this would have been around £200 if the rest of the party agreed to their completely unreasonable offer of a part refund. If I could give 0 stars I would. I think they have been completely unreasonable in the horrific time. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY......AVOID !!!!!!

Since I wrote this review I have been in contact with my bank and with the CEO of Freedom. There was alot of back and forth regarding this claim. Eventually the banks ruled in my favour and I got my full refund back. It was not that Freedom lied to keep out monies but the banks were being very unhelpful and telling us both conflicting information. Freedom have now offered a full refund to all group members so the rest of the group does not put chargebacks in with their banks too. It has taken 2 months to come to this conclusions due to this being with the banks (which I am sure are overwhelmed with these types of claims at the moment)

Unfortunately the banks have delayed a resolution. On 24th July they wrote to me saying “This cardholder was not aware of your cancellation/refund policy during the booking process”. Freedom still dispute this because it is not possible to progress with a payment without ticking the box to agree our terms and cancellation policy. As a gesture of goodwill and remove any further delay I agreed to resolve in your favour and seek the funds owned from the bank instead. With all other chargebacks being resolved in our favour, I trust eventually Freedom will be compensated for the un-recoverable costs we have incurred.

Having been invited to a hen do, Freedom contacted me with my invitation to pay and a suggestion to pay for others and so I paid for my two daughters accounts as well as my own. The wedding has had to be cancelled and despite the planned event being more than 6 months off and it was only booked in September I am being told I cannot have a refund of any description. What is so massively unfair is that several of the invitee's had only paid a £5 deposit, if they don't get charged extra for their cancellation why am I not entitled to a penny of my nearly £536.70 back? Am I livid? Yes. Do I think this is remotely moral? Definitely not. Would I recommend, use or attend a Freedom event again? Definitely not.

Your complaint has been escalate to our Managing Director, who is dealing with you directly regarding your cancellation and has been in correspondence recently. So please accept my apologies we were not aware you had raised a post on the Review Centre (they don’t send us a notification).

I do empathise with your situation, the cancellation of your niece’s wedding is out of both yours and Freedom control. As you have mentioned in your email on 10th December, your credit card company are unable to refund the amount, this is because we follow PCI compliance and recommended industry standards where all payments are guaranteed with terms and conditions. However, since the cancellation is not your fault I would recommend you contact to your insurance company.

In the meantime our Managing Director will continue to help work on a solution, he can furnish you with an invoice showing payments received to support an insurance claim.

I am very sorry that your group cancelled and has caused so much distress.

“Booze Cruise”

I would not recommend it. The boat turned up to be different to the one on the confirmation. That resulted leaving 30min later due to chaos created (everyone was searching for the wrong boat!). Boat was small with DJ and music playing only upstairs. If you were sitting upstairs (too busy on the roof) you could barely hear the music. Only thing that was good was the food. Overall experience not very nice. Boat staff not friendly (apart from lady serving food). Definitely not worth the money and I wouldn't call it Booze Cruise as it is not fun at all! Very disappointed :(

On initially speaking to the supplier, I am very sorry to hear there was a mechanical issue with the original boat planned for the evening.

I can see they managed to get another boat at short notice which could accommodate the food, DJ and 4 hour cruise.

I apologise that we have had problems contacting you and thank you for an alternative telephone number.

We emailed and called on 23rd March to explain that due to the late notice we could only offer your preferred time slot of 21.30 on the Friday and Sunday nights of your stay in Benidorm, but unfortunately only midnight on Saturday.
I can see from the log that we tried contacting you a few more times by email and telephone before deciding to process the deposit on 31st March. With Benidorm being a late night resort we didn't want you to lose the availability.

We now understand the times available are not suitable for your group and have provided a full refund of your £50 deposit. In usual circumstances once a booking has been confirmed we cannot refund the deposit but do understand you may not have seen our emails or voice messages.

Thank you for booking with Freedom and I am sorry to hear that we were unable to secure some last minute availability.

“Appalling , feel totally ripped off”

organised a stag weekend for a group of us at great cost, and used freedom to do this- selected a bar tour ( the venues did not allow all male groups in even though supposedly prebooked entry) had to plead to get into the venue for our meal as despite it being prepaid- didnt like all male groups then when we wanted to stay on was told we would have to pay several hundred pounds a table. same happened at the vip club once we had had our drinks as part of the package told we would have to leave or pay extra ............ long story short despite complaining have got nowhere, i ended up with 16 males fed up at the end of the night having parted with hard earned money for a great weekend..................to make it worse they benefited twice as we booked the hen do through them as well !!!! their vip area in brighton was a smoking hut !!! do not use do it yourself, i have another to plan next year and will do it all myself.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the £99 London stag weekend including Holiday Inn B&B, Paintball, 2 course meal deal and Nightclub VIP booth with beers. I am really sorry to hear that certain aspects of the package didn’t meet your expectations.

Freedom received confirmation from the venues that you were booked and you also spoke to the venues directly prior to the event. Unfortunately it appears the door staff at the Nightclub VIP were not aware of your pre-booking and it wasn't until you showed your ticket itinerary that the manager corrected the mistake.

As means of an apology, the supplier has offered for you to visit any of their venues across the country with some beers included. As a gesture from Freedom we have also offered you free guest list entry to any of our clubs in your area.

Thank you again for providing us with your feedback and I am glad that Freedom and our suppliers have been able to find a resolution for you.

The Hen party to Brighton also booked with Freedom and we included complimentary entry into Pryzm nightclub, however this did not include a VIP area, so perhaps they booked it directly themselves.

“Goofy Games London Disappointment”

Very disappointed with service and activity as a whole. We arrived and it took someone over 15 minutes to come greet us, once we had been greeted the staff were really disinterested and did not appear to want to be there, they started playing football midway through our activities. There were no signs, we were not even sure that we were on the right location when we arrived. The bathrooms were not opened until 12pm, activity started at 11am. There was no rubbish bins provided. The descriptions of the activities on the site were not what was available on the day. The description said 2-3 hours of activities and after an hour they had run out of things to do. The cost of this activity was in my opinion extortionate for something I could have run in my back garden.

Thank you for your feedback on the Goofy Games in London, I am very sorry that the event did not meet your expectations.

My Customer Relations Manager has spoken to the owner so that he can request a full report from the staff working on the day. There should be a prompt meet and greet for groups arriving and I apologise that this did not happen in your case.
The club house toilets open at 12noon when the bar opens, however there are also toilets in the car park that are open throughout the day. Bins are also available at the venue, however your suggestion of more bins next to the activities will be added.

Our website describes the event as having 4 - 6 goofy games for your party dependent on your group size. The larger the number of people taking part, the more activities. Timings are always flexible with these activities as if you are having fun, you are more than welcome to keep playing the activity or head back to an activity if another group is not there.

There were multiple groups this weekend meaning they could provide your 10 guests with 7 games for £39.95 per person - Knock your Block Off, Horse Racing Game, Dash and Grab, Inflatable Assault course, Inferno Climbing Wall (New), Tug of War and the Plank Game.

The games do change from time to time as new games are always coming through.

I am extremely sorry that you felt the supplier's staff did not deliver an acceptable level of service. Negative feedback about Goofy Games in London is extremely rare, so please pass my apologies to the rest of the group and be assured that we are working with the supplier and reiterating that our customers are the focus of their time on the day.
When your friends are next getting together, it would be my pleasure for Freedom to provide a free upgrade with complimentary VIP guest-list entry.

“Friends Hen Party In Essex”

The nude life drawing was a great laugh and so was the shopping day in brentwood however the Saturday nightclub evening let it down completerly. Freedom recommended us to go to a nightclub in Loughton called Luxe, we lasted there for 5 minutes due to the sewage smell of the nightclub, freezing premises where you literally felt like you were in a freezer and rude staff that did not make an effort at all to even be slightly polite.

“When things go wrong, Lies come out to not refund”

Book hotel and beer babes Nottingham, Hotel fine no problem, beer babes are sub-contracted out by freedom, they were fine for 30 mins, then one of girls taken ill, As older group 35-60 Years of age made sure she ok and got home ok. Other girl struggled after only really getting drink, Nothing else, not giving service we paid for, I asked her if she wanted to go due to her being on her own, she said yes, We asked how she getting home, she said she was driving so she left us, I texted the company with situation and said I would be in touch for refund. The reply day after was amazing to say the least, We were not getting a refund due to the fact we had turned up drunk apparently, we had been fighting, throwing glassed at the girls, Shouting at girls, etc, amazing throwing glasses and fighting and no authorities involved. I could not believe what I was reading and challenged this as a joke as we had made sure girls got home OK, I decided could not deal with the sub-contractor of freedom, and would only deal with Freedom as it was them I had paid, Freedom just takes sub-contractors word and are no help at all. Please think before booking. Cannot comment on other activities but if things go wrong through no fault of yours, Then this is the response to refund request.

I am so sorry that your bar crawl experience in Nottingham did not meet your expectations.
This is our 5th year working with the Bar Crawl Babes and the first complaint about their service.

Initially you requested a refund directly from the supplier which they refused. Then my Customer Relations Manager contacted the owner to clarify the reasons and it was escalated to me as the Managing Director.
I am afraid to say that even with our good relationship; the Bar Crawl Babes are not giving us a refund to pass on. The reasons given are that some members of the group were abusive; not meeting their code of conduct.

I am sincerely sorry that in this situation we were unable to mediate a solution between you and the supplier.
Have a brilliant time at the wedding and Freedom would like to offer you £50 to buy the 8 guys a round of drinks. Plus if any of your group have an event to organise in the future we will give them a £50 voucher.

“Awful life drawing hen party class”

The one and only good point - this was booked in the day before as we were let down by another company. Now the bad bits. 1. Model certainly wasn't a 'hunk to ogle over' as advertised. In fact he was quite the opposite. He made our party feel quite uncomfortable 2. No bottle of bubbly as advertised 3. No certificates as advertised 4. Class was 60 minutes instead of 90 yet still the same price 5. Art materials were ONE pencil, a rubber, sharpener and GRAPH paper ????? 6. Total rip off 7. Took me a month to get a measly £30 back as compensation Whatever you do - don't book with freedom

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Life Drawing Class. I am so sorry that the class did not meet your expectations.

It is very unfortunate that the company you originally booked with let you down.
Meaning you only had 1 day to sort out the event with Freedom and this had an impact on availability.

Your first choice supplier on our website was not available. They describe their activity as:
"Fancy trying something different for your hen party? Why not try this fantastic York Life Drawing class.
This class isn't for the faint hearted!
Your art teacher will take you through all the important points for creating your masterpiece but best of all ... you will have a nude male model to drool over the whole time!
We provide all the materials you need, the naked (did we mention he'll be naked) model, certificates for all and a bottle of bubbly for the special person to take away."

Our bookings team did offer an alternative supplier (used by many other hen party companies), and documented this in your confirmation email and itinerary ticket as follows:
"Come on ladies - here's something a bit different for your hen party!
Come and draw a man in the nude (him, not you!) - draw a male model with no clothes on in York.
Our Instructor is on hand to ensure you get the most out of this experience.
Each class lasts for one hour and the male model will adopt a variety of poses.
There will be a workshop leader and a model, materials are provided.
You can decide which of the hens has the best eye for proportions, and you can take your favourite drawings home!"

Obviously your expectations for a £29.95 life drawing class were not met by the available supplier. I can assure you if we had been informed after receiving your ticket that this was not appropriate then we would have cancelled the reservation without charge.

However since the booking went ahead we paid the supplier in full. I am very sorry that the event was not as you expected.

“Absolutely terrible, never again! ”

freedom put together a package for my sisters hen do in Essex. We got to the hotel which was lovely wasn't able to check in till after 3 which was a inconvenience but not a massive issue. They sheducaled shopping time but missed the fact Brentwood would cost us 35 pound per taxi for us to get there, from there to the day activity was another 42 pound for a taxi. The bubble mayhen was good ( but that was not freedom nights that was the guys at the leisure centre) we then had to get a taxi back to the hotel which cost another £22 per taxi. We booked our own dinner in Loughton near the club so we could save on taxis but considering its in the same town as the hotel did cost us another £22! After dinner we went to a pub as we had entry to a club for later. The email states 9:30 till 2:00 club is opened we turned up the luxe night club to be turned away and been told we had to be there at half 10 which didn't state on our hen do plan set by freedom nights, we then got told to pay £10 each to get into the club which we had already paid for. Ending up going back to the hotel! What a way to ruin a hen it only happens once in a girls life and we paid a company to make this stress free and for her to have a night to remember and this didn't happen! The response we have had from freedom nights are them passing the blame of saying they tried to get things closer together but I wouldn't say the disgusting amount we spent on taxis means it was close enough. I would never book through them again.

Thank you for reviewing your hen party in Essex.
Firstly I am very sorry that you found things did not run as you expected over the weekend. The bookings was made by your group leader and she choose to communicate with the participants herself rather than use our online system to send invites, collect individual payments and distribute the ticket itinerary. If you did not receive the itinerary then please contact me directly.

The ticket itinerary sent on 7th April to the group leader and available online in the login area states “Your names are on the door and guest list entry has been arranged before 22.15 on Saturday or 21:45 on Friday.”
All of our clubs close their guest list at certain times and unfortunately your group did not take the ticket itinerary and arrived late.

With respect to hotel check-in, the ticket itinerary states "Check into the Hotel from 3pm and check out 12noon on the day of departure." However as a four star hotel they do have a concierge service that can look after your luggage if you arrive early. Many groups use this free service if they have day activities to attend outside the hotel.

We provide information on the best shops in Essex, these are of course optional, and the TOWIE shops that most groups wish to visit are spread across Brentwood, Loughton and Chigwell.

I am so sorry about the taxi prices, Essex is a large area and for day time activities going by car is preferable. However many of our other activities don't require transport because they take place in the hotel (e.g. pampering, dance classes and nude life drawing).

Thank you for explaining your problems. Essex normally gets good feedback from hen groups and I apologise that the weekend did not meet your expectations.

We had the itinerary on her phone which was sent by email from your selfs the only thing it had one there was 9:30 till 2:30 we have email to prove this nothing on the emails to say we had to be there for a certain time.
As I stated in my review the hotel wasn't a problem just a little inconvenience.
We are on a hen do we shouldn't have to drive everywhere, we came to have a good time and enjoy our selfs not drive around Essex in our own cars not being able to drink or just even relax and the size of our group would of meant taking two cars. You stated to the lady who booked through you everything was 15 mins away this was definitely not the case.
We are not a group to do drawing classes. We didn't even use the spa on the Sunday as the pool was full of children not exactly relaxing.
It definitely didn't meet our expectations and for your company to "compensate" with free entry to a Essex club is laughable. We know have to go and plan another hen as this one was a disappointment and I will not have my sister thinking that this hen night was acceptable.
It was definitely not worth the £130 per person you took off us. And I think compensation is needed but club entry is not acceptable specially as we will not be returning to Essex.

There are a number of discrepancies and it would be really useful for me to understand how these have arisen.
- could you email me were you see the 9.30 till 2.30 nightclub timings. The phone quick summary has a timing of 21:30 and the full ticket states "before 22.15 on Saturday"
- The hotel to Brentwood is 15 miles (21 minutes), the hotel to Loughton is 4 miles (10 minutes). Freedom is based in Essex and so my staff should know the travel times. It would be good to know how we communicated this, if it is in writing then please forward this to me so I can investigate.
- The cost per person for the Freedom package was £111.84. The normal price would have been £99, however due to your group size of 7 being below the minimum number of 10 for the activity, your group leader agreed to pay for 10 people and share the extra cost.

I am sorry that the weekend was not as you expected and understand that your group may not be visiting Essex again. So if you contact me we can discuss a more convenient place in the country for us to arrange guest list club entry for you.

“Don't bother using easier and cheaper to organise yourself”

Where do I start?? Take no responsibility for things you pay them for and turn it around to be your fault or the venues fault!! Never known an organisation to email a customer and been accused of swearing and being abusive to a team member (which is not true) who is suppose to be upset. Even though call handler was rude towards us and also calls are not recorded so please be realistic I wouldn't waste your time or money with this company. Cheaper to organise yourself. Still waiting to hear how to take our complaint further

I am very sorry to hear about the issues you encountered on the weekend and your feelings on how my team have dealt with them.

When you arrived at your hotel on Friday 9th October your rooms were booked as three triple rooms and one twin room. Your itinerary was sent on the 1st September and your log in area showed the rooms listed as:
Twin 1 (2 people)
Triple 1 (3 people)
Triple 2 (3 people)
Triple 3 (3 people)
Unfortunately you thought that four twins and one triple were booked and so allocated 3 people in the first triple and 8 people in Twin 1. This error did not come to light until your check-in, at which point you contacted our Customer Relations team and due to the lack of availability we were unable to swap your rooms around. I am very sorry about this.

After the weekend my Customer Relations team have been working to resolve the issues and responded to your emails as follows:

“Reading hen do”

Absolutely awful and will never go back to this organisations!!! If it wasn't for us girls being mature enough to make a good weekend out of a poorly organised weekend by freedom I think it would of been the case of getting into our cars and driving home. On the good side hotel rooms were lovely but as for the spa.... err what spa..?? Treatments were cut short when they should of been 30 minutes, only 2 chairs to sit on for 10 women! Not sure if the therapist even knew what they were doing???? Alot of effleurage and nothing else..... told by freedom the hen would get an upgraded room, that didn't happen as hotel didn't know about it. Second night out at the place we all ate the food was raw (fish, seafood), cold, and place was empty plus the waitress kept say they were busy. There was only 14 people in the whole place!? No cutlery given as wasn't washed! TOTAL SHAMBLES!!! We had vip to club and was told we would be on the guest list and yes we weren't on the list, surprise surprise!! The girl that I spoke to didn't know anything about us being a hen do or even knowlegde we were coming, pretty much like the resaurant earlier. I can go on and on but freedom trust me you will be hearing from us by email of our full complaints.

Firstly I am very sorry that things did not run smoothly over the weekend.

My customer relations team are in contact with you and are presently contacting the suppliers involved to understand the issues that you experienced. They will keep you informed on progress.

I can address some of your points immediately:
The hotel advertise their health facilities on their website as "Wellbeing and Spa". The hotel has an indoor heated pool, sauna, and fitness centre which you were able to use throughout your treatments. I agree that 4* hotel leisure facilities are generally limited when compared with specialist spas and so at Freedom we prefer to call them leisure facilities.

Our agreement with the hotel is to "Include one free upgrade room per group (Double bed and sofa bed maximum occupancy 3)". Our booking log shows this was communicated with the hotel for your booking:
1. 03/06/2015 10:53:24
2. 19/08/2015 16:37:00
3. 20/08/2015 07:56:18

In regards to your treatments, we have had a reply from the suppliers of your pampering. The therapist contacted you prior to your session to organise a treatment list and timings for 10 treatments. They have come back to us and said that unfortunately, the first 2 of your guests arrived 10 minutes late for their treatments which resulted in their timings being cut short slightly. The next two also arrived late which resulted in a knock on effect for the whole group. Two of the ladies treatments also had to be swapped which resulted in further delay for the group. The therapists did stay over their allocated time to ensure all the ladies had their treatments, however treatment times were reduced and shared equally to ensure everyone received a treatment.

On your itinerary the nightclub was booked for 22:30 and the booking log shows:
03/06/2015 10:54:16 Confirmation email was sent to the club.
25/06/2015 15:37 Confirmation was received from the club.
19/08/2015 16:34:54 Final numbers were sent to the club.
After 11pm, the guest list closes therefore, you would need to join the queue. I’m glad they let you in.

Again, I am sorry that the weekend did not run smoothly. As soon as we get a reply from the remaining suppliers, we will be In touch.

“Harrassment”

I filled in a form on their website to get a price idea for some activities and have since been bombarded with emails, phone calls and answer phone messages. If I was considering to book with them that has definitely put me off, one follow up to an enquiry is ok but think I've had nearly ten and a 'provisional booking' for a venue when I've not responded to any follow ups. Far far too pushy, back off a bit!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, I appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised and instructed my Sales Manager to fully investigate.
Our follow up procedure on enquiries usually involves no more than two phone calls and two emails over a period of 3-4 weeks.
All calls and emails are logged and we have found one enquiry that did not comply with this procedure. The enquiry was made on 22nd April 2015 for August 2016 and shows no responses. I personally apologise for the situation and can assure you that the sales person and the team have been reminded of our customer service level charter.
If we had received any response from the follows ups then I can assure you we would have acted on these immediately. We have now removed your contact details and wish you well with your party planning.

Please contact me directly if you would to discuss the matter further. Hopefully you can see form the other reviews that this is a very rare situation.

“Ruin your hen! ”

WARNING I urge anyone considering booking a hen activity with this company to think again. After waiting for three quarters of an hour it was obvious that no one was going to turn up. After then speaking to the company who actually provide the activities we were faithfully promised a phone call back that we didn't receive that meant we we waited a total of 2 hours for nothing. This completely ruined a day for the hen which she will never get back and put a downer on the hen. Seriously... Think very hard before booking with this company!!!

My Customer Relations team contacted Linden (the group leader) as soon as we were aware of the issue on Monday morning and have offered a full and prompt refund.

Once we have a full response from the supplier, we will contact Linden again with any further compensation that can be offered.

I am extremely sorry that this has happened, please pass my apologies to the rest of the group and be assured that we are dealing with this as a matter of very high importance.

Thank you for allowing me the time to fully investigate.
I have spoken with the owner of the activity company to establish what happened:

Your group requested a change of time slot on 8th July (three days prior to the event) from 3pm to 4pm.
Our Customer Relations team contacted the supplier and their staff member agreed the time change if we moved your group to a different venue.
You agreed the changes and our Customer Relations staff documented this to the supplier by email 08/07/2015 17:44:13 and resent your itinerary ticket the same day.

Unfortunately the booking staff member of the activity supplier did not communicate this change to her manager and the email Freedom sent was not actioned by them. In fact it was the booking staff member’s last week working for the supplier. So in future, Freedom has agreed we will no longer accept changes to activities within a week of the event unless accepted by a senior authorised member of staff at the supplier.

Due to the changes not being fully actioned by the supplier, their staff were available at the original venue and original 3pm start time. When your group did not show, they called the phone the group leader provided as the contact number several times – phone records are available. Unfortunately it appears your group leader ignored the calls because the number was unrecognised. I have expressed to the activity supplier that in these circumstances they should call Freedom, because we may have contact numbers for other group members.
The activity staff remained at the Cardiff venue waiting for your group to arrive.
The first call the supplier received from your group was after 4pm, at this point it was not possible to re-arrange the event due to other work commitments of the activity staff in Cardiff.

Both Freedom and the activity supplier are very sorry that you missed the activity and of course a full and prompt refund has been agreed. In addition Freedom Customer Relations team have been in touch to discuss what else Freedom can offer the next time your group get together.

Thank you for your review, I am really glad that you and the 16 stags had a brilliant time in Newcastle. The package included a luxury hotel, breakfast, leisure facilities, taxi into town, bar tour and guest list nightclub entry for £75 and we gave you a free place for the stag.

I understand my Customer Relations team have spoken to you after the event and you meant to give Freedom 5 stars not 1 star. Never mind perhaps the Review Centre will make the change.

I send my strongest message to avoid this company. All they are interested in is making a profit and are not interested in the customers at all. They have ruined my hen do. Do not use!

Thank you for your valued feedback. I am sorry that you cancelled your event and only received half of your deposit back.

During our 45 minute telephone conversation I explained the reasons why the deposit of £59.90 has not been refunded in full.

The booking log is as follows:
10/02/2015 at 08:59:09 The group leader booked the Bubble Mayhen (event date 25/04/15) for 14 people
10/02/2015 at 09:02:12 Freedom requested the time and event with the supplier.
10/02/2015 10:47:07 Supplier confirmed to Freedom.
10/02/2015 10:48:15 Freedom sent the booking contract to the supplier.
Your group leader sent an email 17 February 2015 21:45 requesting numbers increase to 15.
18/02/2015 08:42:21 Freedom resent the booking contract to the supplier.
Your group leader sent an email 02 March 2015 11:46 to explain that unfortunately the group numbers had reduced below the minimum 10 and wanted to cancel.
My Customer Relations Manager replied 02 March 2015 02:37 PM to the group leader explaining we could change the activity to something else with a lower minimum group size and transfer the deposit across or you could still go ahead with Bubble Mayhen and just pay for the minimum 10 people.

We never received a response from the group leader, however I now understand after speaking with you that you used live chat on two occasions Mon, 03/02/15 10:33:58 and Mon, 03/02/15 10:58:22. Both transcripts show that my Sales Team Member asked you to contact our Customer Relations Team and that Freedom could source other activities. Transcript is:

I understand now that you have booked your own Afternoon Tea, it is such a shame that our Customer Relations team did not receive a request from your group leader. We would have loved to have organised the Afternoon Tea on your behalf.

Our full t&c’s are written on just one page in plain English, they are linked to from every page of our website and every email. On-line payments also have an acceptance tick box for terms.
The terms are fair protecting both the customer and Freedom.
So if the supplier was to cancel on you and Freedom could not find a suitable alternative then:
- In all other circumstances where cancellation is unavoidable, Freedom will make a full and prompt refund of all monies paid by the client.
In the situation where you cancel the event and Freedom has entered into a contract with the supplier then:
- All payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable.

In your situation we offered to transfer the whole deposit to another activity and then when you booked your hen do without Freedom we made a good will gesture and refunded half of the deposit. I can assure you that the £29.95 lost deposit does not cover the full cost to Freedom attributed to your booking.

I am very sorry that you cancelled and Freedom did not have the opportunity to deliver you an event.

Newcastle is our second most popular hen weekend destination and so a lot of the reviews you will find are from Newcastle Hens. Our 3 star hotels are generally city centre, but we also have a great choice of apartments near the city centre and a couple of 4 star hotels with leisure facilities, close to Newcastle. One of our most popular leisure hotels includes a taxi ride into town for your first night. With regards to activities, the list is continually growing as we find new experiences for our hen and stag parties. Firm favourites include Cocktail Making, Nude Life Drawing, Dreamboys and Dance Classes. For something more alternative you might consider Adonis Cabaret, Bubble MayHen, Megamix, Perfume Making, Escape Rooms, Afternoon Tease or even Stunt Car Driving. I hope this helps, all the reviews on the website are genuine and come from either the Review Centre, Facebook or Google.
