Absolutely awful...they literally lie. I finished my IVA in 2016 and wondered why credit rating still not improving...turns out they still have not informed insolvency people that IVA is finished so we have wasted over a year!!!! They were awful during the time....hard to get hold of, money grabbing....just awful. Please get advice as this is the worst decision of my life.

BEWARE!! this company will lead you down the garden path.. When you complete your agreement and get a completion certificate - YOU HAVENT ACTUALLY COMPETED!!! They dont tell you this when you sign up!

Started my IVA in 2011, the service was easy to understand, to the point and straight forward, I spend the next 5 years loading yearly with DFD, each and every time there were no issues, every time I called I spoke to someone who had more than enough time to talk and answer all my questions, 6 years and 2 weeks later my credit file is totally clean, all showing excellent credit rating and I'm now looking to buy my 1st home, being in an IVA is definitely. It something I'm proud of but things happen beyond your control sometimes, DFD never once judged me and saw the whole time through with me, thank you so much much recommended. Keep up the good work

We made our final payment into our IVA with DFD over 6 months ago and despite letters from them confirming it was a priority to issue a completion certificate we are still waiting. Don't bother calling them they DO NOT answer the phone, I have waited over 30 minutes on two separate occasions without them answering. If you request a call back via their web site, no matter what telephone number you enter, for them to call you back on, it says 'invalid number'. Emails take days to get a response .but seems the only way to communicate with them. They are quick to chase you during your IVA for information or action but its a different story when it comes to them completing the IVA. 7 YEARS OF IVA, A FURTHER 6 MONTHS, AND COUNTING, TO GET A COMPLETION CERTIFICATE, AND ANOTHER 3 YEARS BEFORE WE CAN REMORTGAGE....WILL IT EVER END?

I am averagely happy with the handling of my debt management but what I am most unhappy about is you never ever reply to ones emails. As for phone calls that is just impossible, the chances of ones call being answered is slim. The few times I have been able to speak to someone my problem is handled in a very professional manner which I am happy about.

they use any excuse to take more money from you , if you miss a payment then you will pay hundreds extra , ONLY A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE ACTUAL GETS PAID OFF YOU DEPT we paid about 25% of dept. to the people we owed money to,75% to grabbers dfd , , THE REST GOES TO DEPT FREE DIRECT FOR COSTS DO NOT GO WITH THIS FIRM. you will be better off going bankrupt , after 6 years paying debt free direct , you will still be on the black list for 6years.

Me and my husband entered in an iva with dfd in 2012, we paid our payments on the due date every month never missing a payment. They had an equity company to call us so that they could claim the ppi back and pay the money off of our outstanding debt. We have 4 months left and we started with £29,000, debt, we have had £34,000 in ppi payed to us plus the fees the equity company had already taken which was 33% (£45,000) and £13,000 in monthly payments. The fees for dfd were £20,000. Total £67000 I then get a call today to say that I now have to pay another year because I have £4,000 in fees left??? Even though we would have paid up 100% of our debt we still owe this money. This is then a total of £71,000 for our debt of £29,000. Think before you use this company ,how much the fees are.

Firstly I've just got to say a very big thankyou to all the caring people at DFD who made a vast difference. When I was in 'The dark place' not knowing which way to turn it seemed preferable to me to end things rather than admit what I thought of as failure. The first phone call was so difficult to make and I did call DFD several times but ended the call before anyone answered. I am so pleased that I eventually spoke to someone who seemed to understand my situation. I never felt pressurised and in fact quite the opposite. It was good to know that a solution was possible and that glint of light gave me hope - something to hang on to.

So many misleading statements. They have taken - for themselves - most of the money that has been paid into the account. They have also tried to add 20K in charges. They told me the court had ordered this. Do not trust this company. They only want your money and will attempt anything to pay off only a little of your funds to your creditors They also introduce you to a company that will attempt to get your PPI back. This is a sister company. Do not use them! LEAVE THIS COMPANY ALONE CLOSURE BY THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN IS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TO THEM.

Took a long time to sort out what was left that had to be paid, as IVA went on for 73 months and errors in the records, eventually got sorted after writing a review on trustpilot. Completed the IVA Mid 2015, asked when I would receive closure certificate, they responded can take upto 4 months, which some debt companies believe is excessive. Still waiting for an update after numerous emails that auto reply in busy periods will respond in normally 5 days, not happening and cannot contact them. They seem to burst into action rapidlly in setting up the IVA which was good and sorting payment schedule but very slow in closing out and finishing schedules once they are taking payments

I was struggling with my debts and spoke to debt free direct who helped me with my finances expenditures with me i and discussed an iva with me that was affordable for me I find them really helpful and understanding of my circumstances really glad and grateful to them for helping me find the right path for me and for the guidance and support I was given

Having entered into a iva with debtfreedirect, initially all was fine no more stress etc but nearly three down the line I started to get suspicious about what was happening to all the money I was paying, continually ask for statements as to how much was going to my creditors which I never ever got, they kept being avasive and lying, kept cutting me off when I was ringing them, the actual stress and distress was worse than when all the creditors were on my back, overall after paying in four and a half thousand pounds into my iva the total amount paid to my creditors is six hundred a twenty pounds. If your in debt I advise you never to use this company as they will bleed you dry. I was naive and desperate at the time, they are far worse than the bailiffs creditors etc. Avoid them.

At first it's a lengthy process but then you have to expect this as they need every detail to put you back in control of your finances. Extremely courteous and understanding on which for me was an embarrassing time in my life not to mention stressful. Everyone was great from start to finish but do your homework and get yourself set up and get your life back kn track. I had quite a large debt which was controlled but getting out of hand so for me personally I'm hopeful and feeling much brighter about my families future.

Couldn't be more helpful, told them exactly every little details and can hopefully now start to get myself back together. the person I dealt with in particular was fantastic and made sure every penny could be accounted for.

Before finding Debtfree Direct, we originally went for an IVA with another company. I found the process of giving information tedious as well as time consuming. With Debtfree direct I felt at ease as soon as I had spoken to the advisors. The process was clearer and more professional than the previous company and was sorted within a matter of weeks rather than a few months! We loved the fact that everything was straightforward and all relevant options were given to us so we could make an informed decision. The advisors were very friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything in plain English.

I cannot being to tell people how DFD have changed my life. They are the most professional and skilled company I have used. I used quite a few companies and each one failed. DFD where my last chance before bankruptcy and they did a superb job. They were helpful all the way though and the staff are so freindly and understanding. Thank you DFD you have changed my life.
