This website used to be good, now it's downhill, cashback gets declined by retailer for no valid reason, just vague response that terms were not met, trying to reason with customer support is pointless, needless to say will not be using this website in the future.

“quidco was ok till March2020 now they keep the $”

From March this year Quidco turned into a money grabbing company that stop paying customers and keeping all money for themselves. They decline payments or delay them on purpose and the staff just give you the biggest BS when you question your transactions. Keep away

“Expedia added to list of high cashback rejections”

I have been using Quidco for many years so fully understand the clear cookies etc. MOre often than not though I find that where a retailer has a significant cashback figure there is a tendency to reject the cashback or claim on a minor technicality which isn't even correct. The claim is rejected by Quidco with a generic message saying that is the end of the claim...no appeal etc. Quidco seem to forget that we are the customers not the retailer. they should have a clear policy that if a retailer has a track record of rejecting x% of claims etc then they should be stopped from advertising cashback on the site thus protecting customers from shady practice and unfair trading. I treat cashback as a 'bonus' like the majority of Quidco customers but it still irritates me that retailers are allowed to treat Quidco customers this way. COme on Quidco show some backbone and stand up for your members

“Cashback rate changed a few days later!! DONT TRUST QUIDCO”

I purchased on a 6% cashback for Victoria Plum, initially the rate and amount was correct, a few days later they changed it to 3% and told me to basically prove it was 6%. SO A WORD OF WARNING SCREENSHOT THE % RATE WITH THE DATE TO PROVE IT...otherwise you may not get the amount you think...Terrible service, they robbed me of took about £28 from me, but the amount of damage all my reviews will do , will be more than £28!!! You have been warned!

“Getting worse as time goes by”

Have been a user since 2010 when Quidco used to be a reliable and efficient cashback provider. My, how things have changed! Claims take forever to process if they get paid at all. Far more claims are declined without reason and the customer services department come armed with nothing but a cut and paste list of stock responses, mainly blaming someone else or simply stating that their not prepared to investigate your claim. Don't take my work for it. Google Quidco, you'll see my experience is no uncommon. I suggest that you put your trust in another cashback site.

“Cashback payments seem to take longer or get declined”

Cashback used to happen a lot quicker, it now seems that most transactions take months to process and then its hit and miss if you get paid. Sometimes cash back declined, I've queried and its been rejected without any valid reason. Check the reviews, there are some companies that pay quickly but is it worth that transaction if you fail to get the advertised cash back?. Probably not - maybe you should look at other more reliable & faster paying cashback companies.

“Don't Bother”

Firstly let me start by saying that Quidco used to be a good site. The process worked well and if you had a query, a dispute or a claim then the staff would deal with this efficiently and fairly. Recently however this level of service has disappeared. I’m not sure of the reason but I get the impression that they may have outsourced their customer service or perhaps they have significantly lowered their recruitment standards. The quality of the service provided has dropped to a level where the Contact Us option on the webpage is hidden behind a number of generic ‘help’ options that obviously never answer your question, clearly they don’t want you to talk to their customer service staff! When you do eventually get given the opportunity to send an email the reply you receive will not only not answer your question but will also give the impression that your email has not even been read properly. Believe me I’ve had some bizarre responses to some very straight forward questions. The final straw came with a claim. I’ve had to claim before but as I say this has always been an efficient process and I’ve not previously had any issues. On this occasion my initial emails were either ignored or the reply was a generic response that did not address the issues that I had raised. My request to escalate the claim was also ignored and despite the fact that I had pointed out significant errors, In their emails this was also ignored, I even provided proof in the form of correspondence from the company that I had made the purchase from. Still a point blank refusal to engage in any meaningful dialogue. It would seem that Quidco are not interested in retaining customers, providing a service or even abiding by their own terms and conditions so I have closed my account and moved my business to a competitors site (Top Cashback). Several months later and I have to say the difference worth it. If I could give them a zero rating I would.

“No cashback :-(”

Despite purchasing a combined buildings and contents insurance policy via Quidco back in May, cashback has been refused. It has taken 6 months to find this out and the retailer is stating that the cashback has already been paid to another referrer. Who? Why? No other referrer has been involved in the process, just Quidco. The only reason for choosing this policy was for the cashback. Will not be renewing and will not be using Quidco for my next purchase. I have tried to leave a review on the Quidco site but cannot see any way to do this.

“Stay clear”

I'll never use Quidco again. Didn't honour the cashback they had advertised if I ordered food with Hungry House. Customer service don't want to know and take 5 days just to reply. Don't bother with them.

“Not worth the hassle”

Been with Quidco for a couple of years. The promises of cashback appear very good but trying to actually obtain payment for legitimate purchases if a nightmare and customer service is of no help whatsoever. Try another cashback provider as there are plenty other much better options out there.

“Is Quidco going to pay up?”

I open an ISA with Moneyfarm trough Quidco that was offering £130.00 cashback.The cashback should have been paid by the end of August ,so I waited and I sent emails to Quidco (no reply!) .I decided to involve Moneyfarm as the cashback is substantial and I have been told that the cashback was paid to Quidco on the 6th of September but on my account is still stating "The retailer is taking longer than expected to process your transaction. We apologise for the delay." I am very disappointed.Is Quidco going to pass the money to me? Will see! So far I lost faith in them,this is going to be my last transaction with Quidco .

“Stung for over £100 by Quidco”

I have been a loyal user of Quidco for over two years. In February 2017 I took a one-year broadband contract with Virgin Media through Quidco who offered £144 cash back. By end of March the cash back had not shown up so I raised a claim. When raising the claim I have had to select a lower amount of £20 because there is no other way to submit the claim in Quidco's system. In addition, there is note at the page which says that a different amount could be submitted later once the claim is submitted. There was no option to do so at the end of the process and the claim was approved at the amount of £20. I am indeed disappointed as we are talking about a rather significant difference of £124. i.e. the difference between the £20 appeared in the system and the Quidco-advertised cashback of £144 which I relied on when I took the one-year contract. I would not have entered into a one-year £29 per month broadband contract without the cashback offer. It is appalling that Quidco has made the cashback offer then failed to detect when a transaction was made then left the user without a proper system to raise the claim. In my last e-mail to Quidco I had told them that I would not be shopping with nor recommending Quidco again until the above unpaid cash back is paid. The reply came back basically saying that they are not going to do anything about the wrong cashback amount. So I am staying away from Quidco and moving to competitor site. You guys have been warned.

Hello oyWeaver137 I am sorry to hear that your cashback was confirmed at an incorrect amount. When that happens, we will always be able to raise a claim to chase the missing cashback amount using the rates that were live at the time.
Should we not have a particular rate on record, we will always try and chase that further by requesting any evidence of the rate. If we still aren't able to locate the rate, we would only be able to honor the rate that we have as having been live at the time of the purchase.
However, none of the above is the case, please feel free to provide us with the purchase ID for the cashback in question.

I have used Quidco a number of times and all of my transactions have been declined. I have been careful to follow the terms and conditions. Support teams have been unhelpful with a resolution. I was looking forward to using Quidco a lot as I use a competitor website and have made over £1200 cashback, I won't risk using Quidco again.

“Not very good”

Only use this site on the condition you probably will not see the cash back. I have a booking on there with Thomson for a package holiday, that tracked at a very low amount of £4 that should of been £15, but even that I have been waiting for months, even though l had the holiday in January 17.

“Confirmed payments not bing paid after several months,...”

Quidco shows several of my claims to be confirmed, but they stopped paying out several months ago so I now have maybe 5 confirmed claims, but can't get quidco to payout. I've requested support, but nothing happens. Maybe other cashback sites are more reliable. They were good, but seem to have lost their way somewhat.

Just a little clarification regarding the 'Confirmed status.

'Confirmed' cashbacks are cashback amounts that have been processed, and made available for payment, or your request.

Confirmed cashbacks are therefore likely to have already been requested and paid to you, or waiting to be requested on your payments page.

You will be able to see that in your payments history here.

To see when earlier cashbacks were requested and paid to you, simply hit the 'Show More' option on that list of payments and those cashbacks will be there.

“I used to think Quidco were very good”

My main ongoing complaint with Quidco is how incredibly poor the accuracy of their payment schedule is. Payment very rarely made within the period suggested. Most of my outstanding transactions have a "sorry, this is taking longer than expected" note alongside them! Then there is the reviews. If you say anything negative, your review gets blocked. When you complain, it appears they take the option to write a review away from you. Well, it's gone from mine anyway! My most recent big complaint is with the M&S Xmas Food to Order. For some reason it didn't appear to track, but I thought initially this was because sometimes when you pre-order items, you don't get the tracking until the item is despatched - thats definitely how Lego operate. Anyway, once I collected my food, I put the claim in. After nearly 2 months, it gets declined, and Quidco won't help because it's out of their control. A quick note to M&S and THEY say they never offer cash back on food - so were Quidco doing something fishy here? Either way, I can do without the hassle, so am closing my Quidco account as soon as they pay the £60 outstanding from other deals. So, maybe sometime next year!

We work out estimated payment dates by looking at how fast a retailer has been paying us over the course of a year. We do our very best to provide as accurate estimates as possible however as these are just estimates, they are of course subject to change.

We do not of course prevent negative reviews from being posted to a retailer's Quidco page, this is evident from the negative reviews you can find on retailer's Quidco pages. However your review does need to meet certain guidelines before it can be published.

I'm sorry to hear your purchase did not track into your account, you can find the relevant tracking speeds on a retailer's Quidco page. We will always ask that you direct your cashback related questions towards us instead of retailers to avoid being given incorrect information, as has happened here.

“The 'cashback not guaranteed' get out!”

I have used Quidco for over a year. It seems hit or miss if you actually get paid. The small amounts seem to go through without any problem, but I've had no luck with the more expensive purchases. I made a booking with Expedia through Quidco. It was more expensive with Expedia than booking direct with the hotel, but the £128 cash back would make up for this. Also, Expedia offered a free cancellation policy so I thought I'd be safe. Sadly not! The claim process with Quidco is very complicated and by the time I realised that it had not tracked, it was too late to cancel and re-book. The claim process has now been ongoing for 7 months. Quidco's customer service is terrible. You receive a generic email explaining the numerous technical reasons why the cashback may not have tracked, but there is nothing that they can do about it. I contacted Expedia, who have been even less helpful. A similar issue happened with an order from Fortnum and Mason, with a £44 cashback claim again declined with no definitive explanation. This has taken 12 months to receive a final response, again essentially 'tough - cash back is not guaranteed'. There is nothing more I could have done, I made the purchases in good faith and it has ended up costing me significantly more. Customer Service is incredibly slow and frustrating. Needless to say I won't be using the service again.

Thank you for your review and I'm very sorry to hear of your negative experience here.

We do allow up to 7 weeks to raise a claim for an untracked purchase. If after this time you have not raised a claim, the support team will look into having that raised for you, which is what sounds to have happened here.

Claims with travel retailers will not be paid until around 4 months after you have completed your stay. Claims allow for the cashback to be tracked into your account manually instead of automatically and we'll let you know as soon as we have received an update to your claim.

No help at all I'm afraid!

I got fed up of the repeated stock responses, that prove no one actually reads the complaints sent in! I understand they "allow up to 7 weeks to raise a claim blah blah blah..." my problem is that six months later no one can explain why the cash back has been refused and I'm left out of pocket.

The whole agreement is so vague, that it's wide open to abuse from both Quidco and the retailer. I wish retailers would bypass these cash back companies and pass the savings directly to the Customer.

Needless to say I won't be using either Quidco or Expedia in future. I'm also very reluctant to spend any money online, as I know I'm paying an inflated price to cover the cost of the 'middlemen'. :(

Quidco may one day give you the discount but all the hours, worry, etc makes it not worth the effort in the first place. In fact you'd have to be a right cheapskate to even bother using Quidco because even when you have wasted all that time chasing the discount or refund there are still loads of hoops to go through before quidco actually let you get your hands on your money In the mean time you can expect tons on texts and emails from Quidco all about stuff you're not interested in. My advcie - leave well alone. Not worth it - you could spend that time with your partner or kids.

“Some thing not right!”

Over 2 years I worked hard going through quidco to make some extra money on deals and ended up with over £500. In July 2016 when quidco site was undergoing changes I went on and it would not accept my login details which had not changed. I contacted them but this was ongoing for a few weeks which was quite annoying as I wanted to make purchases that had a good cashback amount attached. Finally my logins worked (no help from them by the way just one day it accepted my logins again). On going into my account I see that all the money I had earned was not showing up. I searched around the site to see that it was showing as having been paid to me in an Amazon gift card. I did not request a payment and if I had done it would have been cash into my account as I do not use amazon. So obviously this was a concern because I most certainly did not make the request and no one has access to my details. Strange that the site would not accept my logins and then when it did this had happened! Makes me question security also. So I contact the so called support team and request a call back and get a woman on the phone whose most used phrase was 'I can't answer that'. It all had to be looked into and did I get a proper response? No! I told them I did not want to discuss it over the phone again as when I tried I got nowhere and to be honest I prefer a response in writing which for some reason they appear reluctant to give. It is now November and this is still not resolved. Every now and then I remember about it and contact them rarely receiving a reply. Every month they send a standard email asking me to contact them but I would have to be logged in to quidco to see this as they do not seem to want to respond in writing to my own email address. I contacted them over a week ago and today again and have no replies. Now what I am asking for is how do I access the Amazon card I did not request because I just want rid of them but I also want what I earned. I have no clue how to get the card because I didn't ask for it!!! The support service is shocking and I can see from all the responses you get here that someone from quidco will no doubt put a very polite response asking me to contact them to resolve it and something about their procedures. Well I've had 4 months of them so don't believe a word of it. All I want now is the amazon card and no clue what on earth I will use it for because my intention had been to get the cash. If you do use this site be careful but I would recommend topcashback as it seems to be more favourable. Quidco may seem great but like many companies this is only true until you have an issue. It's at that point you see what a company is truly like! How hard can it be to email someone telling them how to get access to the card? Previously I wanted a written response as to how all of this happened but I actually no longer care!!! I think they reckon everyone is sitting about with unlimited time to make phone calls or wait for phone calls from them. What sickens me the most us the amount of hours spent going through sites to earn this money and then can't get it. I had to rate 1 star as it wouldn't let me give 0 but that would be what I would give. I'm sure they get lots of 5s from the people who have never had to deal with the company directly!
