Firstly let me say this is my first Harley and she's a absolute stunner my friends were gob smacked and despite my fears it may be to big and heavy for me at 5.5 ft its been no problem at all. The weight is carried low down making it easy to move and ride handles very well despite rake. Motor is a gem more power than you,d ever need prob never need a 5th of what's available. Build quality is top notch. Only thing I would say if your on the short side you will need optional short reach pegs or forward reach seat or poss even both if purchasing per 2008 models. Later models had a more conventional footrest location as opposed to the earlier feet forward USA style ride. Get one if you can.

The Harley Davidson V - Rod is a solid powerful cruiser. more juice than you should need. one of the best quality harleys of all. I have ridden most of the harleys and was frankly surprised that this is my favorite. very stable solid ride. almost a naked bike with its lack of clutter. handling is superb and very stable cornering for a cruiser. If you are looking for a fast high quality power cruiser you can't go wrong. Could use some better suspension. I am riding an 04 B (for best) model added Brembo's . I hear the newer models now have brembos and improved fuel tank capacity. Also Harley is nice enough to offer rentals so you can try before buy. Thanks Harley.

All the comments that you read in every article/review from various sources about the v-rod ... for every year now since 2002... and everybody agrees! What a fun bike to ride and to own!
I have a 2003 100th anniversary, put thick drag bar and chromed handles, nice little mirror etc, lowered the front a bit (an inch), 50/50 screaming eagle exhaust, gives it a mean look and that unique deep sound at low rev and hell sound at high rev! The drag bar is given you a riding position leaning more foreward (The new Muscle v-rod as a bit that riding position now). For my size (short 5 6 and athelic built) I find it very comfortable and is given me a feel of incredible control. So far I ve put 26,000 km (over 16,000 miles) in 2 seasons (Here it is very cold from Nov to April!... else I would be on it every day).
Not for sale, get your own!

Nices machine I have riden. Low centre of gravity. Smooth ride and lots of power when it gets moving. Would have owned one years ago had I riden one before. A must ride!

The Harley Davidson V - Rod just looks and feels amazing! I've only driven it 504 miles in about a week, but just from those few miles I've put on her, I've literally had a few guys stop in traffic and either take a picture of it or just stop in amazement, it's one slick machine!
