“AVOID!!!”

I'll start by saying that I have used Sentinel a couple of times in the past and have found the service to be very good. With that being said I always believe that the true test of a companies customer service happens whens things don't go according to plan and in this instance my experience has been very poor. I collected my car keys on Sunday and was directed to the end of row 11. Whilst walking down the row, passing all the other vehicles parked neatly in the allocated bays I noticed that my car was not in an allocated parking spot and was parking alone against the perimeter fence on the exit road. This instantly raised my suspicions and rightly so, a quick inspection of the vehicle found extensive kerbing damage to my front alloy wheel and the driver had clearly parked the car tight to the back fence in the hope that I wouldn't notice the damage. Note that the booking T&C's clearly state that any damage must be reported before you leave the car park so be sure to do a thorough check. Back at the front desk I was met by site manager who quickly grabbed his camera and we headed back out to the car. On the way over he explained that all vehicles are pictured on arrival which I found quite impressive and assumed would make the following process very simple. I directed him to the damaged wheel and he took several pictures, he also took pictures of the rear wheel which had existing kerb damage but I wanted to check the imagery to make sure no further damage had occurred due to the extent of the kerbing to the front wheel. Back at the front desk he brought up the pictures which are actually just stills of the CCTV images of you driving your vehicle in to the car park at the barrier. These stills are obviously not taken at close range and would unlikely ever detail any acute damage. The first image was of the rear wheel with the site manager being very quick to point out the existing kerbing damage which i explained that I already knew about but wanted to check for any new damage. I couldn't see anything obvious and agreed that the damage was all pre-existing so we moved on to the image of the offending front wheel ... this is where the tone changed. The image clearly showed no obvious damage however I was met with an accusation that because my rear wheel was already damaged, my front wheel must also have already been damaged .... very unprofessional. I insisted that the damage had occurred during Sentinels possession and also that the damage could not be seen on the CCTV image upon arrival. At this point he advised me that he would need to view the actual CCTV footage and disappeared to the back office. Why this couldn't be viewed on the screen we were already using I am unsure but at this point the process was becoming even more evasive. Upon return I was told that the CCTV footage was inconclusive and that the situation would need to be escalated to the owner who wasn't available at that very time. I left my e-mail address and mobile telephone number and requested a copy of the pictures and CCTV footage be e-mailed to me. He assured me that I would be contacted within 1-2 days and feeling less that satisfied with how the whole situation has been handled, i left. It's now 3 days later and I have received zero phone calls or e-mails from Sentinel leaving me now contemplating my next course of action. My advice to anyone thinking of using Sentinel would be to consider the additional cost of using a more premium onsite parking service and weigh that up against the thought of returning from a relaxing holiday to be met with a situation such as this.

“I have used your car park quite a few times .but this...”

I have used your car park quite a few times .but this last time 14 may till 24 may this year. and have to say I was disappointed on my return. I don't know where you parked my car but it was covered in what looked like chicken feathers and droppings had to wash it down as soon has I got home. not the service I have come to expect from you. disappointed.

Having researched options for parking at the airport I decided to book with Sentinel as they were cheaper than the LBA car parks. Having not used them before I was slightly apprehensive but found the whole service to be very efficient. Instructions were given for the whole process of arriving at Sentinel, dropping your keys in to reception, being transferred to the airport by bus, and the return journey back to picking up the car - all went very smoothly and quickly. We returned after a very cold spell and the guy kindly jump started my car on my return. Excellent service which I will definitely use in the future.

I have used Sentinel on four previous occasions so was more than happy to book for my latest holiday on 18 September. Due to illness I am unable to travel and after contacting Sentinel I was dealt with in an extremely professional manner by the person I dealt with the Managing Director.He quickly arranged for a full refund and I am now in a position to rebook for my rearranged holiday next year. I have only ever received first class service from this company and my latest experience only builds on my confidence in using them for years to come.

Booked at a great price. Simple process of parking car and taken straight to the airport. Bus was there when we landed and was on the road within 10 minutes of leaving terminal,no hanging around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will use again for sure.

First time user and was slightly anxious about handing my keys over after reading/seeing on TV horror stories about carparking at airports, however Sentinel at Leeds/Bradford Airport provide an excellent professional service. Easy booking on line with all relevant information given . We arrived early hours of morning parked in the well sign posted arrival area-details checked-handed in keys- given a receipt/voucher -jumped on awaiting bus with help with cases from driver and were in the airport all within 10 mins. On return at a busier time of the day left airport to the allocated bus stop area infront of main entrance -bus arrived- assisted with cases-back to reception-handed in receipt -keys handed over-with car waiting in well signposted parking spot very close to reception.Excellent facilities. Would have no reservations in using this company again. Hassle free-professional-friendly. Thankyou Sentinel. Only wish now I'd booked the valeting service too!

“BEWARE MOVE YOUR CAR WHILST AWAY ON HOLS”

Not happy left keys was told had to due to safety reason ! Yet when away police called me 2 times saying the tracking device was activated due to someone attempting to start vehicle incorrectly, my car has an anti hijack device and is made difficult to start even with the key to avoid theft !.... No need to move it at all was parked in a safe place also when i returned to the car was parked at a wonky angle and had incurred a crease / fold in rear wing absolutely ridiculous service why move cars and drive them round ???????????

The reason for handing in your keys on arrival is because the car park deals with in excess of over 3000 vehicles & the arrival area only handles around 200 cars, cars are then taken to a holding car park around the rear of the office where they are parked for the duration you are away on holiday, then they are brought back around to the departure car park on the day of your return! As for a crease/fold in your rear wing I find that hard to believe as cars are photographed from all angles on your entry to the car park & if any damage was to occur this would be dealt with by the company. I've seen first hand how Sentinel operates & they are the most professional company I am aware of.

“Log in”

Good people been using them for 8 years now they are the default when we fly from L & B Airport but they have the worst log in site I have ever found. Registered awhile ago but then flew from another airport and forgot the password, what a faff this is. I have booked my last two trips over the phone and sill been given the discount, thank you. But I decided to bottom this problem and started today to log in but found it insisted on a password which is fine when there is a button for if you have forgotten but that button simply takes you back a step to the log in with the button to press if you have forgotten your password. Took a while to find the telephone number but then the connection was so bad it didnt work despite two phone calls. Not sure where i go from here Ernest

unlike the rest just use the best, very professional from start to finish, not like some places where drivers have a cig, have a chat to mates before dropping you off, their aim is quick quick quick, will use again next time at Leeds, (could have had another half hour in bed if I had known how quick they were.)

Easy to use car park,all we had to do was drop the keys off at the reception get a receipt and a driver was called straight away to take us to the hotel which we didnt expect. On our return the bus was outside the airport as we came out and took us straight to the car park where the receptionist was ready and waiting with everyone's key that was arriving back which was a bonus as there was a few of us and we didn't have to queue at all, all in all an excellent service and I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again

“Humiliating, shocking. embarrassing.”

I flew Tue 20th from Alicante at approx. 22:00hrs and was last to the bus. I am 78 years old, the floor of the "boot" was full and the driver told me to lift my golf carry bag on top of the cases. A height of about 5 ft. I refused saying I had a back problem. The driver then told me he had a shoulder problem, and how could I play golf with a bad back. Eventually he flung my clubs and case on to the bus as I went and sat down. When he got on he shouted to the rest of customers, pointed at me and asked how could I play golf with a bad back when he couldn't. This somewhat embarrassed me as I was the centre of attention from all the other passengers. When I got of the bus he continued shouting in the same vein and as I went into the office to collect my keys he followed me in continuing his shouting. Time that this driver learnt that customers pay his wages, insult them and they will pay someone else's wages. This I intend to do when next flying from Leeds.

“Humiliating, embarrassing and never again.”

Coming from ZB 1237 Alicante, I, a 78 year old man, was told by the driver to lift my golf carry-bag, about 3 stone, 5 ft on to the top of other luggage. I refused due to a back condition. The driver berated me and when he got on the bus shouted at me in front of about 8/10 other customers saying how could I play golf with a bad back when he couldn't. When I got off the bus the abuse continued with other passengers looking embarrassed and I was totally humiliated. I went into the office to collect my key and complain. The driver followed me shouting at me and behaving in a threatening manner about my ability to play golf with a bad back when he couldn't. As I said, there were at least 8 other passengers on that coach will they please write in and confirm my story, They looked embarrassed for me. Should a man of 78 be told to throw his own golf clubs to a height of 5feet? Dave Durham

“No Reply to e-mails”

I made an e-mail complaint on the 26th. Sept. about my automatic light switch been turned to the OFF position ready for my homeward evening journey. I expected a reply from the manager, but nothing. If they don't have the courtesy to reply to customers complaints then I will not be using Sentinel again.

First time using parking at Leeds/Bradford so relied on reviews for parking recommendations and I wasn't disappointed. Easy to find, friendly staff especially bus drivers who help with your luggage, quick check in and even better check out service. Bus waiting at airport on return, much appreciated at 0230 hrs on a cold morning after a long flight. Can't recommend them highly enough.

“Not enough staff”

The queue for dropping my car off at 0500 on the 13/06/15 was ridiculous. This was due to there being only 1 person dealing with checking in at what is obviously a very busy time of the day. The company know how many cars are going to be arriving is it to much to ask they have adequate staff on duty to deal with this.
