“Good, but not great”

★★★☆☆

written by SheaChilders on 10/08/2020

These patches are great as far as nicotine cravings & withdrawal goes, but they are the least sticky patches I've ever tried- I've had to tape it to myself with surgical tape, as they feel like they're going to fall off, even when you first put them on. So while they're cheaper than some of the alternatives, I think I'd rather spend the money on decent ones when these run out!

“I was sceptical about using these, as a medium/heavy...”

★★★★★

written by yellowtimechris on 16/08/2007

I was sceptical about using these, as a medium/heavy smoker would a patch actually help me.
At £6.99 for step 1,2 or 3 for a weeks supply I thought I would try the first step and see how it went for a day.
Previous attempts had lasted about 3 hours and I didn't really expect anything else.
The patch fits well and you don't know its there the odd itch but thats copable.
Amazed at lasting a day without a major craving I continued and after 6 weeks decided that I would go to step 2.
I was slightly annoyed that the patches were the same price as they were smaller, and the assistant said he would send a feedback back to the relevant department.
Step 2 was as step 1 easy and they fitted better and after 2 weeks went to step 3.
Step 3 patches are very small and immediately I wondered what cravings would happen and as of yet none.
I have 2 patches left then I have to try on my own.
Boots at all times have been helpful and have given me free sugar free lollipops to help with the quitting all which helped.
I had heard of other patches falling off and not working but all I can say is that this one worked for me.
You do need things to do and one of the weirdest things is that I can now smell a smoker 10 yards away and it is vile.
Give them a go for roughly the price of a pack of cigs its worth it, take a day at a time and if you need help go back to boots they have free support and the lady was quite nice looking too.
With these patches you only wear them for 16 hours so you don't wake up with a mouth full of nicotine.
When you get them ask for the stop smoking pack with free help included you also get sugar free and none nicotine gum and a lollipop, my girlfriend likes the free anti wrinkle cream you get with it.
Have a go it could change your life.

Yellowtimechris's Response to yellowtimechris's Review

Four months later and still not smoked.
The patch worked well.
A collegue at work tried a different make of patch a week after I stopped and failed after two days started to smoke again, he said they didn't stay on his arm so gave up.
never had that problem with these and bought him a pack to try.
