“Avoid at all costs”

Written on: 02/04/2018 by KennethGrady311 (1 review written)

Firstly I'd like to start saying we paid £130 for a double room which was expensive to start with for 1 night . We checked in after queuing for 35 mins which was a joke people were arguing with the front desk I'm not quite what about but they really needed more staff on , we were late meeting friends then because of this . We got to our room and to say it was dated is an understatement .I stay in hotels all over the country for far less and they are in a far better condition and better… Read Full Review

I've stayed in budget hotels all around the world and the Britannia Manchester is by far the worst establishment I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. Truly abysmal… Read Full Review

“Don't expect a city view at the Britannia Hotel, more...”

Written on: 13/08/2007 by yellowtimechris (109 reviews written)

Don't expect a city view at the Britannia Hotel, more a view of walls.
The single rooms are pathetic for this type of hotel, no window and a single bed.
The double rooms are the same but a few have a single window.
To get a decent room, you have to upgrade to a higher level of room and this comes at a premium.
Beds are slightly hard and noise can be heard from outside, as well as sound from the hotel's lobby.
Staff and reception are friendly but I feel they make more of an effort on… Read Full Review
