“Didn't want Insurance”

Visited SCS with our daughter who more or less found two 2 seater sofas to her liking. Sales assistant okay, not particularly that interested in us but just okay. We took out the interest free credit over 3 years (helping with the finance) and the salesman proceeded with the paperwork, which took him well over an hour to complete (we were getting rather impatient). “in a mess”

i orderd a carpet and a chair, i got 2 men to come and move all the furnitur out of my loung and paid them, the day befor delivery i gust rang then to make sure, thay told me my carpet had not got to the wearhouse, thay compencated me with £50. the folowing week we were upsid down, we sat in the dineing room with no tv no comfort atall. the carpet finaly came and was fitted by two nice men and a good job. the chair came a week after, no problem. we ar now back to normal. … Read Full Review

So far the timing has caused inconvenience as my partner and I both work fulltime, we only had one and a half hours notice for measuring up then booked a full day off work for fitting which a day and half later we are waiting for with myself having to ring and chase rather than being kept informed. We bought a 4 seater leather sofa and reclining chair (both Sisi Italia) from the Kidderminster branch. The chair was ex-display and substantially reduced and the sofa was available on 0% finance. After buying the last suite from DFS which looked tatty and was rock hard to sit on after 12 months, I swore never to buy from a similar chain again. “Foam seats flopped”

Had a storm 3 corner 3 sofa for 2 weeks since delivery. Noticed that corner seat foam sagging somewhat. Scs sent man out to inspect . Yes i have had this i am furious that their response was to "puff up cushions".. when i clearly paid extra for hard fibre ones ... they are a joke.. the next phone call will be come and pick sofa up because i do not want it!! Customer service is terrible they dont give u a date until the day before they are coming. The amount of time i have wasted ! I am furious i should of gone to dfs!

We Bought the Naples 3 seater standard Back Sofa & the matching 2 seater swivel chair back in January - they were delivered Mid-February. I can't fault the staff in the Shop - they were very helpful & friendly - however I wish I had never wasted my money on these badly manufactured products! “Poor after sales service”

I have just bought a carpet from them and though I am pleased with it we were left with no door on the bedroom. When their surveyor called to measure the room we asked specifically if there would be a problem with the door because of the thickness of the carpet and underlay (we chose the best quality and consequently thickest underlay). I believe Andi has been in contact with you today? I just wanted to confirm that he spoke to the Cardiff store to arrange for a fitter to come out and shave and re hang the door. The fitter is coming out on 11.6.13 and will call that day to advise if it will be an AM or PM appointment.

I ordered new underlay and carpets from SCS including two new sofas (endurance eternity range). The carpets were fitted on time and the fitters did a fantastic job, the quality is outstanding..... BUT i am really starting to panic now after reading all these reviews on the quality of the sofas. I have a sofa from DFS which after 10 years still looks fantastic although there is some leather wear. The seat bases are still as plump as when I got it. We have just taken a delivery of the eternity sofa 4,3 and2 seater. The sofas are smaller than the shop floor ones they are 10cms lower and5cms narrower on the seats which make them very uncomfortable.they are sending someone to measure it,after 2weeks, but it is like a different sofa no good at all.

Hi ya thanks for your message. I'm surprised that something like measurements weren't corrected and passed quality control ??

I'm getting really hacked off now. Having been told my sofas would be ready first week of June. I called my store yesterday and was told middle of June -probably around the 20th they will expect the sofas in. So - 16th May, 1st week in June and now 20th June

If this goes on any longer I'm cancelling the goods. -so sue me...
4 and a half months to wait for a sofa -really???? Should have gone back to DFS

Helenscs. I will dob the store in to speak once I have the goods and I am satisfied that the quality is 100% as I don't want to jeopardise more delay while now getting very impatient waiting

I have a couple who are having my old sofas who are also getting fed up! Grrr

I ordered a leather sofa on the last day of November 2012 and have been waiting for it to arrive in the Basingstoke depot so that it can be delivered via a upholsterer who will be taking it apart for me and then delivering it and putting it all back together in my flat , I was quoted a price and offered free delivery to the store .... This is trevmixlondon with a update to the above review, ScS have been really helpful in sorting this out for me , the upholsterers were courteous, effective and most importantly charged the price quoted, the sofa itself ( Eternity ), is really nice and great quality, so all in all I am a happy customer now, if anything should be learned from my experience, I suppose it is that customers do expect company's to keep to the offers made at the point of sale anything else in simply confusing . Have a extra gold star ScS , well done !

I used the Bolton SCS (Middlebrook Retail Park),and bought Lazboy, Kansas, rise and fall recliner for my husband. We tried lots of recliners and different stores, but SCS where the only company we found that had this chair, the saleman wasn't pushy and gave us a number of options, so we ordered a Black chair. It was explained it had a 3 month wait as the chair was made to order. However, when the chair was delivered it was Green! We have no problem with the suite itself it,s just we were given the wrong sizes for the standard chairs as they had none to show us, but scs have sorted it for us, we have gone for 2 two seater sofas instead, and we chose the charcoal /black to go with our decor. the suite itself is really niceand once i have the 2 sofas i will be pleased. so no problem with the suite and i must congratulate Scs for sorting the problem out as having read a lot of the reviews i did not expect it to be sorted so easy........

I cannot fault the sales assistant, he was good at his job. Working in sales myself I was not nieve that he was saying all the right things to get the sale, but I was buying the sofa anyway so I let him play out his sales pitch. I ordered a corner sofa, foot stool, but wasn't sure whether to have a smaller sofa or swivel chair. “Tried to charge an extra £50 for delivery”

Before buying the goods from SCS in Speke (Liverpool), i explained to the salesman that it would be a very tight fit getting the Sofa into my living room. “Delivery team are shocking”
