Went to Waggon And Horses today with my missus and daughter we were seated straight away and the staff came across as friendly and attentive,We decided what to order what we wanted mainly a roast Sunday dinner after 20 mins a couple had entered the restaurant,We still had not been seen to but put it down to the place being busy but the one of the waitresses completely ignored us and instead dealt with the couple who'd only just walked in Which I found frustrating the service was slow, the waitresses pulled their faces or looked down at you when you asked them over!!!!!!.The food is really good tho something I couldn't fault at all but the service is really poor which is a shame as its a lovely place tho without a doubt which I'd definitely recommend but as I say the waitresses are rude and ignorant which put a downer on it

This is a surprisingly popular bar/restaurant so they must be doing something right, but on a recent night out we had poor service and the food was inconsistent. On arrival the place was buzzing, the decor is lovely - we were expecting a great night. It was downhill after that, the wrong drinks were brought, only 3 out of 4 starters arrived, one main course was wrong which meant having to wait for something else to be cooked while other members of the party ate their meal. One main course was inedible, but the replacement was beautifully cooked. Another main course was over cooked. To add insult to injury the drinks were added on to the bill twice. We've eaten at the Wagon & Horses many times, and had different experiences each time, some we couldn't fault, however it'll be some time before we return.

This is a traditional British pub which is aimed mainly for diners but has a small bar area to just have a drink. The decor is above average and on a nice day it is pleasant to sit outside.
There is varied menu ranging from pasta to fish and chips or steaks. The veg are fresh and the food is usually to a good standard. It isn't cheap but then it isn't aimed at the cheaper end of the market. The average main course is £10 to £13. There is a childrens menu and from what I observe, children are made welcome and given crayons etc. The landlord means well but his customer service skills are on occasions lacking, once you get used to brusque manner, he is okay.

The Waggon is a relaxed and popular pub/restaurant in pleasant surroundings. The staff are polite and attentive and give a warm welcome on each visit. The menu offers a modern take on classic British dishes. The food is generally of good quality but can be a little inconsistent in its presentation. Overall, well worth a visit.
