I've had my Mountain Equipment G2 Jacket now since 2003 (not long after it came out).
I bought it on a recommendation from a friend who had bought one of the first ones available. I wasn't disappointed. It keeps the wind off you (it's got "Gore Windstopper") and can put up with light to moderate showers (it's got a water-repelling coating on the outer).
