“Don't have the insurance”

Store staff were as good as you would expect, furniture came before delivery date so that was good the only thing I regret was taking out insurance against damage. Two years down the line and have a problem on the seam its colour have scuffed and looks bad no physical damage but not nice, rang insurance and lo and behold because it wasn't just done but was over the course of months I'm not insured, waste of £140 and now got to try and colour it myself, what the hell do I know about colouring… Read Full Review

Love,love,love my new sofa. Having decided to get a new sofa I spotted the Freya. The salesman in Hull was wonderful and explained everything. We decided to take out the stain protection and my sofa was delivered on agreed day. Communication was good with emails,texts and a phone call to arrange delivery and keep us up to date on the expected delivery time. Ordered a sofa which was delivered on the date expected. Had to be taken in through patio as delivery drivers couldn't get one piece through door to sitting room. On assembly 2 bolts were missing. These arrived 2 weeks later and we're fitted by dfs. Gentleman who arrived was very nice man and showed us how to take sora apart should we need to as we are having building work done and thought sofa couldn't be removed in future. “Allergy to sofa”

Received our sofas this weekend and was thrilled with them. The only issue is that my partner has severe allergies from out of nowhere whenever he sits on the sofa. I was very happy with the way we were treated in the measham store, the guy was extremely nice and polite and made us feel very welcome. He explained everything in detail of how to look after the sofa and also showed us how to practically do it. Having over the years bought more than one item of furnishing from DFS I have no complaints about the quality of the products and the interest free credit. My comments are about one particular "extra". Ordered my couch on Doncaster. Knew what I wanted and the sales person wasn't pushy, and helped me out straight away. Explained everything to me, didn't force anything on me. I feel we have to write this review after review the many bad reviews. DFS was the only place we could find the sofa we wanted, Siena sofa, and it is AMAZING. We bought it from the Enfield store, and although the staff just want to get sales, it was as swift as you can get to buy it and had an estimate of 7 weeks to arrive. Ordered a two seater Ceasar sofa and storage footstool from the Valentine Park, Lincoln Store four weeks ago with an eight week delivery time. And it arrived yesterday. Hiya,
The sofa and footstool are still fine - but please bear in mind that this is in our kitchen diner and is not used quite as much as a lounge area. I have used the cleaner/leather wipes that DFS provided and was shocked at how much of the solutions the leather absorbed and it did go a lot darker richer colour - but I can confirm that we are still happy with our purchase - so much so that I will be taking a friend in the next few weeks over to the Lincoln store to have a look at this range as she has taken a shine to ours.
I did find it strange that the website ONLY had bad reviews - what is wrong with people - my old dad always taught us to praise the good as well as complain about the bad. This idea has always stood me in good stead especially as a I was a Purchasing Manager for a large local company - recently retired.

I know that people keep slating DFS but I have to speak as I find... we bought a new sofa over 23 years ago just as my second eldest lad was born. 4 kids, 2 house moves and 23 years later it has finally come to the end of it's life!! Lucky you,the sofa that you purchased all them years ago was properly made under lord kirkham who was very keen on great customer service and even better furniture.DFS have since been taken over by a private equity firm who is in it to make as much money as quick as possible,truth be known that their furniture is very poorly made now cutting as many corners as possible.i have had 1 of these sofas made under the new company and after just 2 years looks like a bag of rubbish and will now have to be thrown out.Never will I buy again from them.

We went into the dfs hedge end in Southampton and after spending some time chose the invincible. The kids were encouraged to have a jump around on the furniture and the salesman was happy for us to ask questions and inspect - he even told us that he personally didn't like the sofa we chose as it wasn't full leather lol. - he wasn't pushy in the slightest and let us come to our own conclusions. “Professional Upholsterer”

I was apprehensive about a visit to inspect furniture but the upholsterer Ricky from Brent X was excellent. Very respectful and pleasant manner, had genuine knowledge and experience (unlike the brigade of wide boys in the field)just a good egg. Rare and a treasure. I bought a clayton leather suite from DFS oldham 4 years ago. i have a 5 year warranty so i contacted them about discolouration on one of the chair arms. they said shrewsbury was my nearest store to where i live in wales. i was contacted the same day and a date was fixed for there customer service manager Will to inspect it. “Easy glide rip off ”

This is my second DFS suite and for the price I am more than happy with my purchase. The one down side is the easyglide, for £15 per item I had expected that this was something that would be built into the construction of the suite during manufacture. In reality it is a 1inch self adhesive plastic disc that the delivery man peels the back off and sticks to the corners of each foot on each chair.
