In store ( Grantham) service was very good. Ordered my sofa mid Aug was told 10 weeks to delivery. Tried to cancel several times as the date extended and also as my personal circumstances changed and I lost my job. However there was no way to cancel as it was ' bespoke'. We purchased two Barrett sofas in October 2019, a year later the seat fabric was pleated and the cushions that myself and my husband regularly sit on had lost their bounce, if my sofas looked like this after 5 or 6 years I would accept that it was wear and tear, but after a year I was disappointed when the service manager came out to inspect it and said this was normal, these sofas cost around £2000, a big purchase that I honestly can't afford to repeat after a year, to say I am disappointed… Read Full Review

Ordered replacement cushions in August they have supposedly been delivered to Glasgow depot 5 weeks ago been told by store staff in Paisley when they receive them I will be notified. Have been to Paisley store 3 times to try to get some real information but told same story when they get them I will be notified how long does a fifteen minute journey take must be more than 5 weeks still waiting. After waiting around 10 weeks for the sofa to be delivered. It finally arrived, however they damaged my brand new vinyl flooring!!! With rips and marks on my floor! After complaining about this the manager told me that basically I must have dragged the sofa myself and done it! I want to complain to the employees of the DFS store in Romford! £4,500 worth of sofas delivered three weeks ago, the delivery men damaged our new oak flooring in several places whilst putting the furniture together. At first they denied it, then they told us they would report it and get a call from the manager at Ashford, no call, no apologies, so we had to call them. Ordered a full sofa set already during COVID and they told me delivery would be in no more than 8 weeks. When it was taking much longer than that I wanted to cancel the order as I was out for the summer and surely I would have found offers after the summer.. Sofa arrived damaged... great start! Repaired weeks later after multiple arguments with customer service. Guess what it broke again the same day. Complained again, took weeks to return my call and e mail. Wouldn’t replace sofa, asked for last opportunity to repair. New handle ordered. We originally ordered on the 15 of March. At DFS High Wycombe. Because of covid waited until 26th of June for delivery. Holes for legs drilled in wrong place. Second delivery waited in all day Tuesday 21st of july slot between 1 and 4 didnt arrive no phone call. Message to track order changed at 4 to sorry your delivery is not going ahead. We can understand the delivery was delayed because of Covid19 situation, but the communication was very poor. We confirmed the order of the sofa on 29.02.2020 and at the time of processing we have mentioned that the entrance is narrow. Terrible experience, moved to Norfolk, and DFS was our first point of call to purchase new furniture. Paid deposit in Sept-2019, and have been nothing but messed around, by the store and customer service team. I even wrote to the CEO, who is not customer facing apparently! Refusing to deal with me. Bought a very expensive sofa a chair was told it would take 9 to 12 weeks to come no problem. Shambles. Only use DFS is you would like the following. 1) Waiting 4 months for the correct items to be delivered to your house (and i'm estimating at 4 months as it hasn't arrived, so could be longer!) 2) MANAGERS of a DFS store not amending your order from a larger seat to a smaller chair, a couple of days after the order was placed, so he can capitalise on his higher commission, hence leading to a massive delay in you getting the correct items. 3) Same manager not returning your calls on at… Read Full Review

You are showing interest to your customers only when they come in to the shop and you had to convince them to buy your sofas- Norwich branch. 1700 pounds paid for one sofa, delivery and installation. We bought a 3 & 2 seat sofa's and a single chair. Within 2 weeks of the sofa being delivered we could feel the springs. They sent out one there service managers who confirmed this was the worst he had seen within 2 weeks and asked is to wait 2 weeks see if they all went then someone would come and re stuff the sofa. Having a 3 year battle with DFS myself. Sofa purchased December 2017, arm loose on delivery. Guy came to tighten it up but keeps working loose. After 4 repairs, including the arm going bingo the workshop, DFS engineer said it’s a design fault. Now having to go via finance company and financial ombudsman to get action. DFS are now accusing me of loosening the bolts on purpose!!! Got the engineer on film after tightening the arm confirming that it’s still loose and a design fault!
