“Highly valued consistent, competent support. ”

Written on: 18/02/2017 by Arthur313 (1 review written)

Highly valued consistent, and very competent support. Superb support, great website design aids, good relationship with BT Openreach to resolve any odd connection problems. On the few occasions I have needed it their support has been speedy and expert. Their web hosting and domain purchase services are well designed and easy to use. Fully recommended. In my use of Freeola as my ISP and host to my websites over the last 5 years I have enjoyed a fantastic service on the few occasions I have… Read Full Review

“Lousy After Sales Service”

Written on: 03/06/2016 by zbMcManus451 (1 review written)

After 13 years of Freeola Broadband, I recently needed help to reset my router. I haven't needed a lot of help over the years, which is just as well as when I did need their help, they were reluctant, sullen, monosyllabic, and rude. I spoke to two of them. When one of these dreary "tech heads" asked me a question about my router - which neither had heard of by the way - A Netgear DGN2000 - I started to explain a situation and was interrupted mid sentence with the abrupt phrase, "...just yes or… Read Full Review

“Freeola/GetDotted Domain Hosting Service”

Written on: 31/03/2016 by KLNW (1 review written)

I am not a Freeola broadband customer, just using them to host my domain name - which I set up a while ago, intending to use for email purposes only. I have now been advised form my current email host that they are increasing my charges by over 300% and this has encouraged me to finally make the effort to switch. Unfortunately, I discovered that the new domain's email addresses weren't working. I submitted a query to Freeola's customer service department. I received a prompt reply and Freeola… Read Full Review

“The disaster that is Freeola”

Written on: 07/01/2016 by andylaaauk (1 review written)

I signed up with Freeola (an entanet reseller) after previously being with ukfsn, with ukfsn I had a faultless service throughout, the only reason for leaving was the fact that we moved house and that ukfsn seemed to be difficulties. Now, Freeola, I signed up April 2015, at this point we were still in the process of moving, so the service wasn't used much, however I ran a quick speedtest and was pleased that we were connected at 17500kbps, however it was the following month the problems… Read Full Review

Not a very helpful review, methinks you have a personal grudge against the very folks who in my dealings with them have been nothing short of superb. Get a life and move on sunshine!

“In a word, dishonest”

Written on: 13/08/2015 by BrinnyBiker (22 reviews written)

I used freeola for paid e-mail for my domain. Foolishly I transferred my domain there from LCN, who it has to be said are much better. Eventually the e-mail service started to cause problems with sending mail so I decided to move on. At this point I find it's £12 to have my domain that I paid for freed up so I could move it. A £12 'admin fee' for an automated process is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. What really makes me fizz is that nowhere in the sign up phase is there any clear warning that… Read Full Review

If you spoke about me in such a manner you would find yourself facing a slander charge. It says a lot about Freeloa that they have not responded to such bad mouthed drivel.

“The Greatest ISP Ever!”

Written on: 01/02/2015

One thing which I'm sure most people find extremely lacking in this day in age is good customer services - let's be honest, find adequate customer service is a challenge, but not with Freeola! Whenever I've had a problem their customer support team have worked hard to resolve my issue ASAP and are always polite and helpful - if your fed up with the cowboys which seem to have taken over the ISP industry, then Freeola is the company for you! Excellent! 5 Stars Everytime!… Read Full Review

In the light of all the other comments here, this one stands out as probably a plant.

My advice to anyone planting a fake review is to use less hyperbole and sound less like an advert generally. Also avoid giving the full 5 stars. Hope this helps.

Duke, you are unfair! It's the one's who give poor reviews who are full of hyperbole and hate. One only has to check other review websites, whilst this one seems to attract the nutters!

“Going off their "free" email accounts”

Written on: 14/08/2014 by Bo1977 (1 review written)

I've no experience with their ISP services, but if their "free email accounts" are a reflection - I WOULD NEVER EVER TOUCH THEM EVEN WITH A 20 FT POLE VAULT STICK. Their emails will NOT receive ANYTHING except messages from Freeola themselves, which are all adverts. The site is morass of HUNDREDS of "click this to buy this option!!!!!" buttons, it is almost impossible to navigate through the "free bits". AVOID AVOID AVOID - these people are just grifters!… Read Full Review

“Utterly reliable and professional”

Written on: 17/06/2014 by McClellanbj159 (1 review written)

I've used freeola for my business broadband, domains, web hosting and also home broadband for well over ten years and their customer service (phone or email) is second to none even out of hours and weekends. the servers are highly reliable with as close to 100% uptime as you can find, and when you talk to sales, customer service or tech help you get a real person in the UK who you actually feel is being paid to help you. This company goes above and beyond what you can reasonably expect from an… Read Full Review

“Web Design”

Written on: 21/03/2014 by reviewreview755 (1 review written)

Web Design was Excellent! It was a little slow to get started due to the heavy work load that was on the team, but once started it all came together very quickly. My project Managers work is 1st Class. The rates and fees are fair compared to competition that I checked out. I would recommend this company and services to any one thinking about web design etc. I had no idea how I wanted it to look as such but with the limited information I gave him was able to use his imagination and come up… Read Full Review

“Website Design and Generally Great Eggs”

Written on: 08/11/2013 by arekid (1 review written)

I've been with Freeola now for, wow not sure but over 10 years I think. I have numerous domains with them and have recently used their website design team. I've always found Freeola to work, be reasonably priced and well great to work with, even when I'm only using their free services!!!. The support lines are helpful, ALWAYS!!! and the guys go out of their way to provide excellent customer service and support. I have no hesitation in recommending them and have done so to many people over… Read Full Review

“Absolutely terrible”

Written on: 16/08/2013

Don't ever ever go with these.. when you register a domain for "free hosting" it can actually only be accessed by their own broadband or dialup.. absolute joke! They don't actually make this clear until after they've taken the money from you, nowhere on there website does it say about Customer entitlement to refunds, no money back guarantee no nothing... outrageous! Have opened a paypal dispute against them, doubt it will make much of a difference… Read Full Review

“freeola is actually far from freeola”

Written on: 18/07/2013

Free unlimited emails is advertised on their home page. Having had an exchange, in writing, with their contact team it has become apparent that unlimited is actually limited per day to 500 emails. In order to send emails you must subscribe, but it is free to receive. Very helpful. This organisation is as bad as loan shark companies. Simply avoid to build momentum to wipe them away. Amongst the most unethical companies that lies, and cheats people - purposely. … Read Full Review

“Freeola and 'Free' services”

Written on: 31/03/2013

A bunch of complete chancers - avoid them if you can. They not only charge twice the going rate for .co.uk domains, but the 'free' email they give you isn't free at all unless you use them as your ISP or pay them £2 a month! Of course, you don't find this out until you sign on the dotted line... Go to UK2 instead - they are much cheaper, transparent and HONEST… Read Full Review

“Watch the hidden costs”

Written on: 08/08/2012

Irritatingly divisive. Even if they'd just call out all the many hidden charges, I don't think people would care but this cockney wideboy sharp practice is frustrating beyond belief. Here's how it works: 1. You see a service advertised as free. You spend days setting it up and when you get to the final stage, a charge is introduced. 2. You phone Freeola to complain. They state that everything is there on their T&C webpage. 3. You tell them to shove it up their collective backside… Read Full Review

“Good start, but a poor end to the services, hidden...”

Written on: 07/07/2011 by mattlc (1 review written)

I signed up with Freeola years back due to the good reviews, but have recently come across a problem when trying to transfer out. They have a hidden fee which is as much as I pay per year to them. This fee is not charged by the majority of companies out there. It is not advertised anywhere on the site. Secondly, having spoken to a representative on their premium rate line I received a hostile response to my inquiry leaving me to email my request. There were reliable and affordable, but it is… Read Full Review

“Dishonest at every turn. The status page is simply all...”

Written on: 04/11/2010

Dishonest at every turn. The status page is simply all lies or omissions. This purportedly "free" service is actually very expensive.
Every single offering they claim to be free - isn't.
The domain name you bought (at a far higher price than advertised) ends up doubling or trebling in price after a year or two.

I'd never use this company again. Totally dishonest and misleading… Read Full Review

“Pricing lacks transparency. How can hosting be "free"...”

Written on: 25/05/2010

Pricing lacks transparency. How can hosting be "free" to dial up customers but not non-freeola broadband customers? Allow me to answer.... because they're taking the pi**. Here's the pattern of your freeola experience.....

You're enthusiastic about a new project and you come up with your dream domain name.
You buy same from getdotted(freeola)due to the free hosting/ emails etc.
You then try to publish your site that you've slaved over for weeks and bingo, you're shagged. You now need to… Read Full Review
