Like The Other Reviewers Of This Product I Believe
Like the other reviewers of this product i believe it is very lightweight and the shelves were especially weak. I dont think it will stay as a current product for long. Its a shame as it looks very sleek and modern.

The Whole Fridge Freezer Broke Down Within 10 Mont
The whole fridge freezer broke down within 10 months and 2 weeks later I am still waiting for a repair and dealing with the most appalling service department who never bother to phone back - I am chasing them constantly. I have just been told that the time limits they are working to - you have to be 28 days without a fridge freezer before they even LOOK at offering an alternative. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, BUY A RELIABLE BRAND1!!!!!

Delivered In November 2004 The Refigerator Side Of
Delivered in November 2004 the refigerator side of this has now four times.
The fault is in the Fan/Evaporator cover which causes a lump of ice the to build up in the bottom. I was assured by the engineers that the last updated part would work without problems - it doesn't. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH!!!

Our Samsung Fridge Freezer (rs21ncsv1) Worked Fine
Our Samsung Fridge Freezer (RS21NCSV1) worked fine for about 18months and then the trouble started. The fan started making a really bad noise and upon inspection the whole of the back panel was full of solid Ice. We discovered this was a know fault as it had been on Watchdog,so we called the engineer out. He replaced the panel and said we would have no more trouble. Samsung also extended the warranty to 5 years, free of charge. However, in the last six months I have called the engineer no less than 4 time to sort out the same problem plus the freezer fluctuating in temperature. The engineer has now written it off, and Samsung are offering a replacement, which alarms me as I have no confidence in their product.

Very Imposing Presence, Too Tall To Put On All Tho
Very imposing presence, too tall to put on all those small items that live on the top of normal fridges. Ours is the the white, fairly basic, model without the optional internal temperature-controlled compartment, although I contacted Samsung UK to ask exactly what the model number indicated and was told that it had the compartment. Needless to say, when it arrived, it didn't! All I got was an apology from them, but I am not impressed. Check carefully is my advice, not necessarily with the manufacturer - a dealer may have more idea.
Bought from our local shop (HBH Woolacott), very slightly more than the big sheds, but delivered on time and installed carefully
No idea about Durability yet, but I assume it should be OK - if not, I'll be back!
SEPTEMBER 2010. The engineer has just been to replace the defrost heater and the lower inside panel. This is a known problem - known to Samsung anyhow, and is a safety issue. The symptoms are an ice build up which results in a rattling noise which stops when the refrigerator door is opened and/or the fridge temperature is too high on the display or by feel inside the fridge. If your RS21 was made before March 2007 don't wait for a failure, call Samsung on 0800 9880123, give them the serial number and they will send an engineer out to fit new parts if necessary. The service was prompt and courteous, and covered by a free extended 5 year limited warranty given by Samsung as a result of this problem
The noise level seemed to increase over a few weeks until I had to investigate the cause! I found that a ventilation grill at the back of the fridge, near the base, was vibrating. Fixing that made the sound levels far more acceptable. The grill is not held at enough points to stop the long edges from flexing - poor design
