Very good mower for the perfect lawn. Gives you that ideal well structured lawn. Blades are very superior and sharp that cut the edges of lawn faster and perfectly. Amazing machine works really great. Time saving option. Reasonable price.

Brought this mower last week managed to use it at weekend the grass box is not that its hard to put together the grass comes out of the sides. I think my old mower was better, its not worth the money. The fact you have to put it together is bad enough.

Good cutter, but when the on/off switch fails, you are looking at £80 to replace this non servicable item, I may break/saw it open and repair/fix the switch/safety button to make it work. Keep clear !

I bought my Princess in 1989 and only now has it given up the ghost. I'm sure that it could be repaired (Motor) but I have decided to buy a new one. The only problem over the years was a broken deflector and the blade has been changed. The secret to a long lasting mower is buying a one with an Induction motor which the Mountfield Princess has. It is very easy to use and the cut height adjustment though not possessing an indicator is adequate as the movement of the machine's chassis height from the ground is obvious to see and is easy to gauge after a few uses. So twenty two years of use, bought from a supplier which was having a closing down sale and costing less that ninety pouns at the time. A fantastic, unbeatable electric mower.

This has got to be one of the best buys I have made my mower has served me over 10 years and is still going strong it ploughs through really tough grassy areas and gets good results time after time. My friends regularly borrow it and enjoy using it. The height adjuster dosent have an indicator to the height is the only fault I have found. I would gladly buy another. I would have liked an indication as to its durability when I bought it. For those considering it is very durable in almost all ground conditions.

The Mountfield Princess is a good mower, quiet and a good cutter, but my chassis has been broken by a stone pick up.

Although it may look a bit strange the Mountfield Princess is well built and very quiet when running. Although not the largest sized motor it ploughed through my lawn that had only been strimmed 4 times in two years. The height adjuster is easy enough to use but there are no preset heights so you have to judge yourself the ride height. Grass collection is good even on damp stuff. As i said the height adjuster has no indication as to how high the unit is sitting so you have to judge this for yourself. Once you know your lawn though this should not be a problem. Design is a little dated but can't fault its functionality. An excellent mower if not a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

You won't go wrong with one of these lawn mowers. My Mountfield Princess 14 lawn mower has been a gem to use for 18 years now! I'll happily buy the same model if it was to ever pack in!

I inherited one of these from my dad earlier in the year. I doubt I'll ever use it as much as he did, but it's a great lawn mower.
