Fantastic location and hotel, very hardworking staff, food varied and fresh, rooms clean and spacious (we had a select room). Lovely walk along promonade to Playa Blanca.

Flamingo Beach Resort - Lanzarote
I stayed at the Tenerife equivalent of the Holiday Village in February and expected this to be the same. Sadly it wasn't! 3 out of the 6 days we were there the room wasn't cleaned. The air conditioning didn't work and our room was hotter than outside (top 30's). The brochure offers the beach which was lovely but it isn't part of the hotel and you have to pay for sunbeds. The buffet lunch was the same every day. The sunbed debacle was ridiculous - see other reviews. Adult evening entertinment didn't start until 10pm.
On the plus side the poolside entertainment team were brilliant. The 3 alternative restaurants were great - the lasagna in the Italian restauranr was the best I have ever tasted. The grounds/gardens were spotless and beautifully kept. Staff always very plesant and helpful.
I was there with my partner and his 2 sons; our room had an en-suite so having the boys traipse through our room to use the bathroom was a bit tedious. As you pay adult price for 12+ years why do they have to have sofa beds? Surely an adult price should reflect an adult bed....

Not Good Holiday!
We have just arrived back from our holiday and I have to say I was very pleased to be home! The location of this resort is fantastic and the views are lovely! The accommodation was not great, the rooms were not cleaned everyday and maid service was not great too, however, if you had a complaint they would do their best to sort it out. The food unfortunately was not good either, we have stayed in various complexes of a similar nature in Lanzarote many a times and expected the food to be the same and it was not which was such a disapointment as an all inclusive, although the 3 vouchers that you are given on arrival to eat out was fantastic, the food in those restaurants were brilliant. The entertainment for the children (i.e. under 7) looked exellent but our daughter was 9 and was not interested even though it is suppose to cater for that age, nothing really suitable other than the swimming pool! Now, moving onto that, the sunbeds are an absolute nightmare and I would recommend the staff actually carrying out the promise that is written on the boards around the pool areas. At night around the main pool, the sunbeds are locked up and it was like watching vulchers in the morning when the sunbeds are unlocked! Around the other pools, unless you were there by 8.00 a.m. or earlier, no sunbeds available! Also, really annoying is that people put the towels on the beds and did not stay at all during the day and I felt like throwing them in the pool as it was unfair for other families to miss out! I have never had to write an appalling review on a resort but feel that this resort needs to pull up its socks in every area as everyone we spoke to on holiday felt exactly the same, it is such a shame especially as the resort is in a fantastic location and the views are lovely.

Great Resort But
loved playa blanca and the holiday village was great there was lots to do for the kids through the day reps was really funny and worked hard to keep us happy i wish they could have been the evening entertainers, but in the evening the entertainment was rubbish my kids was bored because they did not cater for them, one night there was a local band and they was sing songs i had never heard of and the bloke who was running the show was not funny at all and was a bit rude to some of the kids. food was great lots of choice and also the staff was really friendly. had no problems getting a sun bed and the rooms was clean did have to ask for fresh towels but the reception could not do enough for you. i would go back again but only if i knew for sure that the entertainment was better, have been to the same run hotel but in gran canaries and the entertainment was fantastic maybe the entertainers need to go and see what they are doing wrong.

We Recently Stayed At The Flamingo Beach Apartment
We recently stayed at the Flamingo Beach Apartments in Playa Blanca Lanzarote. Overall a brilliant holiday, loads for kids to do, the First Choice reps were friendly and worked ver hard.Accomodation and food very good, something for everyone (upgraded to superior accomodation)very clean. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Sunbeds difficult to come by as per usual guests putting towels on early in the morning and keeping them all day. Would have liked somewhere a little quieter to go to in the middle of the day for the adults away from all the fun at the poolside but not back to the room.Only one evening entertainment venue which was a bit repetitive, again kids liked it. Liked the idea of dfferent restaurants to go to, mae a change from the buffet. If you like noise and fun you will love this place, great for families.

Very Good Resort, Sea Views To Die For, Nice Walk
Very good resort, sea views to die for, nice walk along prom to shops and harbour. We had a good two weeks at the Playa Flamingo Beach Club Apartments, but spent a lot of money on sun beds every day on beach, we did complain to Thomson but did not get any good feed back.
