Not Big Enough For One Person Let Alone 2!! Awful Tent.

I've been up most of Britain's tallest peaks, so rather than take a hardcore mountain tent, I decided to buy this for some summer camping at Le Mans 24 hour race.

Worst mistake I made.

It was drizzling when I arrived and continued to rain for most of the night. I woke in the night to find my sleeping bag was soaked. It looked like the inner and outer were touching and there was little to no ventilation to help with moisture removal.

The next day I tried again, repegging everything and trying to make it work, and although this time it didn't rain, again it wasn't enjoyable. A lot of moisture built up in the tent and essentially it felt like I was in a wet coffin.

My conclusion is the inner and outer are too close together, though it has a long length, the low rise from the front and back of the tent make the effective length inside the tent very small. At 6'3" it appeared it would be spacious, but it was anything but. No room for 2 people unless you sleep onto of the other.

Overall, really really bad and a waste of £60 as I bought another tent for É20 immediately.

I Have Been Using The Cobra 2 For Over 12 Years No

I have been using the Cobra 2 for over 12 years now and apart from the longer pole developing a bow i have no concerns with it at all.

I have used this tent in some very strong winds and torrential rains. I recently used it in Brecon with force 5-6 winds and a rainfall over 3 inches over night and did not feel a drop inside the tent.

This has been a very faithful companion.

Good Weight. The Coleman Cobra 2 Has Been In Use F

Good weight. The Coleman Cobra 2 has been in use for 5 years without any big troubles (i.e. about 10 times per season). For tall people over 195 cm the only chance for good sleep. The best tent I've ever had. Only bad point, the smaller rod broke up twice.

Coleman Cobra 2 Is A Fantastic Bit Of Kit, Very Li

Coleman Cobra 2 is a fantastic bit of kit, very light, easy to erect, loads of features and very strong in bad weather!! if you want a nice size lightweight back packing tent for just over 100 quid I 100% recommend it to anyone!! 10/10

Fantastic little tent with two small outers for each person, perfect!!

The Coleman Cobra Tent Is One Of The Best Bits Of

The Coleman Cobra tent is one of the best bits of kit I own! Easy to erect, seems to withstand any wind! a lot more spacious than it looks! Inner goes up 1st, so can get wet if raining heavy when putting up and taking down. Could be lighter weight, but not too heavy to carry.

I Have Used The Cobra 2 In Some Pretty Bad Conditi

I have used the Cobra 2 in some pretty bad conditions its low to the ground design makes it gr8 in windy conditions and I have never had any problems with waterproofing. This is said to be a 2 man tent but you would have to be GOOD friends as i just about fit in with my 65l Karrimor Jaguar backpack. At just under 3kg its not that light but if you replace the pegs with titanium ones you save a good bit of weight.

Its cheap small and pretty light a good investment id say.
