“Worst Insurance Company Ever”

Do not insure with this company they are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with - just trying to contact them is bad and when I tried to cancel they took the full amount for the following year also - steer clear of this insurance company as they are not helpful and do not have a conscience about deceiving anyone. The whole level of customer service was appalling

“Cancelled my insurance while adding huge costs ”

Cancelled my insurance without reviewing documents that they requested. This company has hundreds of complaints against them for malpractise and dodgy ethics. They come up as one of the cheapest insurance companies on most of the compare websites, then you start receiving emails to upload all kinds of documents, V5C, Proof of SORN, proof of previous insurance, proof of tax, explanations for XYZ and you can't upload onto their platform as the platform doesn't work. They then ask you to send them via email and they don't respond. I paid 12 months upfront and they have just cancelled my van policy after 4 weeks.

The amount of completing irrelevant information need to comply with customer page is ridiculous. When other insurers have automated the checks that they actually need. Phone service was awful. The changes are excessive.

I insured 2 days ago with these idiots wanted to cancel the insurance and they tell me it will be 78 pounds admin is this a joke be very careful folks .and the phone system is a joke you ring the number push the right buttons and it gives you the same number to dial as you did in the first place .how do they get away with these scams.i phoned the obudsmen and they advised me to ask for a breakdown of charges ..which I shall do in the morning and keep you posted not worth the hassle for a few quid my next step is to put a complaint into the go compare web site ..

Having renewed my home insurance last October. Telling them I was selling my house, at no point was I told I would be liable for the whole year, I was told they had a £45 cancellation policy but nothing was ever mentioned if you pay Monthly you were liable for the entire year!!! Unfortunately had to pay monthly this year for the first time. Then when it came to moving, four months later. Rang them with moving date, was told the full year would be due as I had a loan agreement with them. Only when I threatened them with the ombudsman. Then I was suddenly given a low figure, up to the date of leaving the property. I will never use this company or recommend them. Attitude stinks!

Very very poor customer service. I was placed on hold for 20 mins, transferred to the wrong department, told they'd phone me back (they never did) and when I finally got hold of them they said the only person who could give me the quote was out the office for a few days (because I have a lodger). I think they've done me a favour as it would be my worst nightmare to try and claim through these guys

What a shabby outfit having my insurance through this awful company I need to add a named driver to my policy they cannot do that because my insurance company is in liquidation. I went through quote line I am you're customer your problem to sort your lovely person on the phone clearly pointed out the fact it is not there fault nor their problem that the company they use went into administration I can only assume it is my fault. The only way around this they tell me is to cancelle the insurance and start again but I will have a outstanding balance with the finance company! There is better brokers out there who use proper company's You get business insurance rates off me and are only able to offer a lot lot less You had the opotunity to prevent this negative review but your robots and the script could not do anything apart from waste my time and fail to sort anything,get being what should be driving your business the CUSTOMERS without them you have nothing shoddy outfit one to stay clear off On renewal I will be going to a respectable company

“Absoloutley dreadfully rubbish”

Used an online review page for can insurance... Came out cheapest. Their customer service is non existant Their staff are rude and arrogant, i was questioned why i have a van and why i wanted non commercial insurance..! How about because its my vehicle to do with what i please, who the heck are you to question me what or why i have a vehicle..!!!! They messed up my payments due to having to cancel one policy and start a new one, their call centre keeps you on hold for upwards of twenty minutes even thou the automated system tells you that you are in position 1..! They never call back when promise, i waited 36hrs for a call back. They are not an easy company to deal with and i certainly wont be using them again, i hope to god i never need to claim as i can see that being a nightmare..!

Please beware of Quoteline Direct. In particular, avoid its home insurance. The firm's so-called legal expenses insurance is nothing of the kind - it does not cover you to defend yourself, your family or your home. Quote line Direct hides excuses within small print that's accessible only online. How bad can it be? Well, would you really expect to be in a position of needing to sue your legal expenses insurer?

They should call them "scamlinedirect"! Very poor service, headache with the policy, the claims will never get validated and you won't be refunded for your policy if you decide to cancel it. Waste of nerves, time and money

“BOXING DAY FLOODS”

We were victim of the Boxing Day floods in 2015. Having taken out specific flood cover through this company we are now having to fight for our cover while being out of our home. 3 weeks after the floods we are no nearer being sorted out. A dispute has arisen that we have been mis-sold our policy despite giving accurate information about the location of our property and paying a high premium. We are being left without any help or advice while the insurers take their time arguing between themselves. We gave full accurate information through Confused.com and paid high premiums which Quoteline Direct provided. In a time of real need have been shockingly let down. Appalling !!!

“Avoid this company”

Needed quick insurance so used quoteline direct (QLD) £430 for LR defender cover. Accepted so I could look else where, was a mistake. Rang Adrian Flux, premium £192. Rang QLD charged me £40 to cancel policy plus usual £26.20 from insurance company. Essentially this company charges people extortionate (>100% mark up) money on their insurance, then when they realise they have been stupid, charges them again to get out. The guys on the phone at QLD were nice but the company stinks and derserves either to close or change the ways it does buisness. What a rubbish experience.

“MICKY MOUSE COMPANY”

This is one of the worst companies I have had the misfortune to deal with. They are by no means the cheapest so you haven't even got that benefit. I cancelled the insurance because I found a much cheaper quote after I had paid the premium, they were rude on the phone, they charged me £80 for 6 days of cover and I have had to wait 4 weeks for my refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

My partner moved house to a quiet area where the car is parked in a garage over night and he rang up to change the address and they charged him £40 fee and increased his monthly payments while my policy went down nearly £10 a month.bunch of wasters stay clear as they will do anything to gain more money off you

“Rude staff... Appalling service!”

A member of staff from Quoteline contacted me on a Saturday asking if I would like to renew... Went through all the T&C questions and then came to ask if my flat was in a commercial property a question I had never been asked before. I said yes there was a restaurant on the ground floor (I am 4th floor) they then said they would have to contact the insurer to see if they would still insure me, but they were closed on the Saturday and she would call me Monday. Monday came and went no call, Tuesday came and went no call, so I called them Wednesday and got through to the same person. She said that she had left a message with my partner to which I replied you couldn't have as my partner is overseas. She insisted that she had spoken to my 'confused'! Partner who said they would pass on the message. I replied that if that was the case which number did she call them on (knowing full well they do not have my husbands phone number even if he was contactable). They recited the last 3 digits of my number to which i said was my number, to which the staff member from Quoteline kept saying yes and I spoke to your partner, well I spoke to you partner... I said I don't know who you spoke to but it certainly couldn't and wouldn't have been him... She replied that it was ( It absolutely couldn't have been as she didn't even have his number!) She was so rude in her approach! I asked to speak to a manager as I was concerned she had been discussing details regarding my policy with a total stranger...? To which she said she would get someone to call me back. Kel surprise no phone call, I called back and was put through to her team leader who told me it was human error but could not mitigate for her attitude on the phone and offered no apology, didn't even attempt to try and save my custom... I think I had a lucky escape not renewing my insurance with them... I would never ever use again!

Exactly as the title said,Rubbish, ignorant and rude customer service and even there manager exact same if you want to be treated with ignorant if you want to receive nasty phone call that you can never have a chance to reply and will end up by hanging up the phone ( by them not by yourself ) then deal with this rubbish company had a business van insurance with as there were cheaper over £100 than the next best quote but didn't really know the reason until i have joined them have started a light road haulage company and asked if i am allowed or can add extra cover to cover motorbike transportation and what a nasty and disaster phone calls i have received. they wouldn't give you a chance to speak only them allowed to talk as if you still at the school and have to wait for the teacher for finish. then ended up by dead line YES THEY HUNG UP the further disaster received by email in reply to my complaint and this time was someone claim he is one of the manager who ignored my compliant totally without any apologies what so ever, instead he continue the same nasty and rude manor and claim by lies activity my business never did while i have other van with different insurance company which confirm what is MY REGISTER LIMITED COMPANY DO. SAFE YOURSELF HASSLE AND RUN AWAY OF THIS NASTY COMPANY AND THERE RUDE TEAM

“Absolutely awful - AVOID!”

Ive never posted a review on anything in my entire life. Quoteline Direct are the first to make me want to warn other people to avoid their utter incompetency. They are a broker, actually have no control of the product they sell you, wont allow YOU contact with the decision makes and offer no customer care whatsoever. Seem to spend their time banding questions back and forth, solving nothing, and driving myself completely nuts. I wouldnt want to be PAID to deal with these utter idiotic jokers claiming a wage from ripping others off... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

“Never again!”

I will never use this company again. I bought through a cashback site which made them slightly cheaper. They then refused to pay it. I had to make 2 changes to the policy, each one costing me £30 'admin' fee.. they had 5 minutes on the phone and to email some documents. Disgusting. What should have been a £17 fee to add a driver was £47
