I arranged for a rep to come and look at a sofa repair job. Once he had completed his inspection of the sofa he said "Did the office tell you about the call-out charge?" No they didn't, but paying it did not me receiving a quote. I am still chasing a refund. They claim to have left messages but this is not the case. Awful customer service and a joke of a company. Tried to get a technician out for four months for him to fail to turn up twice. Various people gave me excuses, vans breaking down, traffic etc. Pathetic. They never answer their phone either. Never even rang me to tell me the technician couldn't come despite me taking a day off work. I had to ring them to chase them several times in one day only to be met with excuse after excuse. “Do Not Touch With A Barge Pole...”

I spent nearly £1,000.00 on a Charles Eames chair & stool just under six months ago. Unfortunately, the base to the chair was faulty (the pin connecting the base to the chair fell through rendering the chair unstable & unusable) I contacted Express-Furniture re the same – They said that the base would be sent back to the manufacturer for either a repair or a replacement however, the base was sent back to me (4 weeks later) with the exact same problem. Excellent service from a company that presents a human face to its customers, with personal phone contacts and speedy responses to emails, to sort out any particular needs or delivery requirements. Excellent service from administration of the order to delivery, which was a day earlier than originally expected! Packing of the items was well thought out and all the items arrived in perfect condition.

I reported this firm to trading standards. I ordered a chair from them last year which never arrived. I felt I received terrible service, really can't think of anything bad enough to say about them. If you are tempted to order from them I would advise using a credit card as that is how I got my money back, I got it from the credit card company when it became obvious that express furniture was not going to refund… Read Full Review

After fair and open conversation, express-furniture explained me that all problems are allocated in tansport company, and order has been dispatched twice. Despite of this, they confirmed me their a third cushion has been redispatch and they are investigating with transport company location of the table.

Express Furniture delivered only part of the order (in my case, I bought a living room of around 5000$, and one table and one cushion of a sofa was missing, which means around 1500$ cheated!!) Of course there is no way to claim after payment, and after hundreds of mails and phone calls not replied, my first step is to advice everybody about this retailer. TAKE CARE !!. Dont buy from www.express-furniture.co.uk!!. Poor quality and UNCOMPLETED orders!! Yes, they catch you with low prizes and later, the deliver takes months (8 months in may case) and they miss items (1500$ missing, one table and one cushion of a sofa, from an order of 5000$) Of course no answer or way to claim after payment.
