Bosch WET2820

Had this integral (hot & cold fill) machine for 15 years with no issues. It came as part of the supplied appliances with our house. Good build quality but door is rather small for duvet cover loading etc. Very heavy machine. Easily managed controls. Basic wash cycles are stupidly long, unless you use the short cycle option. It has served a family of three well. Takes 90 mins. to dry two big towels properly. Washes clothes adequately. It has always been noisy and had vibration issues. Load capacity is not now competitive and it is neither water or electricity consumption competitive by 2014 standards. Recently replaced only because at this age (15 years old) we were on borrowed time with an inevitable break down. Integral feature is good if sited in a kitchen.

I've been very disapointed with this model Bosch. It goes out of balance easily and I have to stop the unit and readjust the load. I can't run it when I'm not at home. I've had 5 technican's come by and balance it and replace the feet on it twice, but it dosn't make a difference. The last technican said this was common with Bosch washers.

Noisy, but good choice of washing cycles (if you need them). I tend to put everything on 30 degrees in any case. Effective spin and fairly durable, but has developed circuit board corruption which freezes the programme and the wash, necessitating powering down to reconfigure. Board replacement is prohibitively expensive but the machine is five years old now.

Our Bosch WET2820 washer dryer is installed in our new kitchen on a solid concrete floor. The spin speed and water temperature are all adjustable, which means it is ideal to give a tough wash, or less, according to items loaded in. You could put delicate hand wash items in with no worries. The time delay is ideal for an overnight wash. It is not the machine to buy if you intend to move house within a few years. However, it is ideal to buy if you want a reliable steadfast washer/dryer.
