Wasn't sure about the Belkin Tunebase, but from what i've experienced, a quality product worth it's value. shop about though... this item can be found for about £40 usually, but most shops sell it for £70.

I bought one of these after I realsied how much money I'd have to pay out to have my iPod connected to my car stereo (£100 for parts alone, plus stereo was a factory fit so needed a qualified fitter).
The great thing about the Tunebase is that I can now listen to any iPod tune I have without the need to burn CD's or keep my favourite albums in my glovebox. All I do is connect my iPod, plug it into the cigarette lighter and tune my radio to whatever frequency it says on the dial. What could be simpler?

The Belkin TuneBase FM for iPod is a device that you plug into the power outlet in you car along with your iPod to be able to play your music through the speakers in your car. A brilliant little gadget!
I always thought to be able to play my iPod through my car speakers I would have to buy a compatible stereo system and have it all fitted by someone. I could not of been more wrong.
The TuneBase FM looks like a mobile phone cradle, it fits into your power outlet and you sit your iPod in it. It has a flexible-steel neck which you can bend to the desired position you want your iPod.
It also supports all iPod models which is a bonus, and is transferable from car to car.
The TuneBase FM is designed to mount, stabilize, charge, power, and play your iPod while you drive. It does all of these functions very well and is very easy to use, all you have to do is plug your iPod into it, plug it into your cars power supply and turn your car radio on. The Tunebase does the rest for you. Brilliant.
This illuminates the need to clutter up your glove box with cds, and allows you to have access and to be able to play thousands of songs that you have stored on your iPod in your car, through the cars speakers. The TuneBase works by tuning itself into a weak frequency and broadcasting your songs through the airwaves. Because of the manor in which this works you sometimes may here a little interference like you do on your cars radio, but I must say I have not encountered such problems. I only heard of this when I read the instructions.
All in all, a brilliant little gadget, that I would strongly recommend to anyone who owns a car and an iPod. If you have an iPod but don't have a car, this is a good enough reason to go out and buy a car!
Lastly so you guys can go and buy one for yourselves if you so desire, I bought mine from Halfords and it cost me £60.
