Bought my 2004 1.9 sri tdi Vectra 150 bhplast December for under 2k 57000miles on it..worried when I had to change alternator in 1st week n fly wheel (common issue)that was knocking as a precaution £300.. but since then flawless..fast comfortable economic.service it regularly n give it good motorway blast now n then should be ok..plenty of taxi versions knocking on 150k n going strong still..

“Loved my vectra , what a car”

★★★★☆

written by xnJenkins117 on 28/09/2014

I had a 2006 sri 150 estate with exterior pack , full leather etc and only criticism was spec was a little poor .. Other than that it was great to drive , 55mpg regular , never had a single issue and sold with 120,000 miles on it . Very fast and smooth and much nicer to drive than the horrendously unreliable mondeo zetec 130 tdci I had before . Load space was enormous as was rear passenger room . Only reason I sold was due to another child so need a 7 seater . Loved the engine so much and would never go back to ford so I bought a zafira with the same 150 engine ...

“I LOVE IT!!”

★★★★☆

written by hotmam62 on 23/04/2014

I bought this car in Nottingham last October, it drives wonderfully. Even my son likes driving it! If your looking to get a car with a good amount of backseat space go for this one and save the months I spent looking for one to take hockey sticks.

“Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi [150]”

★★★★☆

FANTASTIC CAR! I have only had the car for about 2 months now, and I absolutely love it! Drove down to Essex from nottingham and I couldn't believe how little the fuel cost was, I managed 148 miles on just £10.00!! The cruise control was especially brilliant. The car is ecceptional value for money, as I bought it for £3450.00 with 90k miles on the clock, nothing for a diesel. Overall the car is great, looks great, drives great and is comfortable. The only down side for me so far, is that I upgraded all the lights, and the rear number plate lights have been changed to ultra bright LED bulbs, however, for some strange reason, they seem to pack up when I do over 50 mph, but I pull up turn the lights and engine off and on again and they come stright on. Halfords say that the car may need some sort of transformer, so this may not mean there is a fault with the electrics. (the normal ulbs do not do this). Reccomend to anyone, just make sure you get a looked after one!

“Not SRi but SXi 150bhp”

★★★★☆

written by microlightpilot on 19/01/2013

As some negative concerns on here about the car but I can say mines a great car, boot much larger than my Focus deisel as is cabin space, much firmer on road and quicker better economy at 700 from full fuel tank and thats from home adress uk to middle of France, serviced regulary, only work done is discs and pads at 95k, just had cambelt and waterpump replaced thermostat, waterpump on removal was good as was thermostat but hey real good now,had a hic up last year with it missing but No 3 injector plug replaced at £25.00 all in cured that. one thing I want to add is the inlet manifold valve bar is not connected but shows no detrimental effect on performance or economy.

written by P3DRO on 23/11/2012

i got the car with 80 k on the clock and at 85 k had to change to manifold but other than that very economical car pulls great 0-60 good legroom also good if i have to pick faults its the build quality is a bit poor and the parts used on the car could be alot better but its cheep and runs good so overall im happy with it all the problems you seem to get you can also get with others cars.so no matter what you buy your taking pot luck so be lucky and hope its trouble free motoring... p.s keep some money spare just in case. pedro

“cdti sri 150”

★★★★☆

written by on 11/03/2012

I've had mine for 3 years now. Still happy with it and still pulls like a train. Yes, flywheel is on its way out (has been for well over 5k now), and i've done the alternator last year and had a new inlet manifold 2 years ago under warranty. But, if you know what to look out for when buying, and use independant dealers rather than main(quoted £650 for flywheel, slave, clutch and cambelt change), then you encounter no more problems than Mondeo's etc... That said, i'm going to change mine next year.... to a SRI Signum!! :)

“Owned a vectra Sri 150 Xpack in flame red, 19inch...”

written by on 29/01/2011

Owned a vectra Sri 150 Xpack in flame red, 19inch alloys, stunning car, had no issues unitl trade in at 33k. Decided to change to an estate car when baby number two was due for the extra space. Dual mass fly wheel and clutch was going and needed replacing cost 1300 at vauxhall dealer. This is a common fault with lots of other diesels and not only vauxhall. Had the same thing happen on a peugeot 307 HDI 2.0, again cost over 1300k. These are only good for about 3/4 years of motoring before they a prone to failure. Vauxhall would not cover under warranty either as said they would only cover up to 18500 miles, what a load of tosh the warranty is then! Other than this fault car has been great, loads of power, very economical about 45mpg and handles superb. Very expensive the tyres though on the 19inch low profiles, about £175 each toyo's. Ouch !!!

written by on 03/11/2010

Vectra elite diesel 1.9cdti 150 bph55 .6 mpg average over 57,000 miles since bought second hand from Vauxhall motors. 90% of driving on motorway , including some long trips across central europe at higher speeds ( 90 -110 mph).
Alternator went at 67,000 miles and £380 for Vauxhal dealer to replace. That's all so far.

“Bought our black Vectra Estate CDTi SRI 150 from new...”

★★★★☆

written by on 24/09/2010

Bought our black Vectra Estate CDTi SRI 150 from new and has since done 30k miles. It was fitted with a diesel tuning ECU at 5k which pushed the BHP up to 206 with 420lbs of torque, totally awesome performance ! When the front tyres (Goodyear NCT F1 Eagles) wear down the car can heavily under steer and majorly in the wet as no traction control, but this can be overcome once your use to the extra power. It gives around 46 mpg with the heavy foot every now and again and 50+ on the motorway at 80/85 in 6th. I have had nothing but fun in this car, the practicality and cheap running costs for the family makes great sense and the power is simply just awesome with such good mpg.

written by on 03/05/2010

Overall very happy with this car, it's a good size, seats 5 in comfort. Tows our family caravan with ease and returns reasonable mpg. It's had a few teething troubles with wipers not working and sudden loss of power but on both occasions the dealer fixed the faults under warranty. 6 speed box smooth and cruises along in top gear quietly. Would have another one if the Insignia hadn't replaced the model.

A very good car that has plenty of power. The diesel engine maintains its efficiency between services and performance does not degrade. Recommended.
