Great Location For Beaches And Restaurants. Great
Great location for beaches and restaurants. Great pool that is never full. The area is not noisy or difficult to find. Great for families of all ages with excellent nearby water sports and if you want you can drive south for 30 minutes and find your own secluded cove!

One Of Our First Holidays Abroad With Our 11 Month
One of our first holidays abroad with our 11 month old son and it couldn't have been better! We very much enjoy beautiful beaches, sunshine, fab food, water sports and relaxation and Costa Calma ticked all the boxes! The apartment was an ideal size, very clean and tastefully decorated. The outside balcony/terrace was perfect for our little one to run around with the added touch of outdoors toys, balls etc in the apartment.Everything is at a walkable distance including some delicious little restaurants with lots of local culture. My wife and I are keen kite surfers and Costa Calma was perfect we kited everyday on the most beautiful beach- Sotavento. It was a really effortless holiday -We'll definitely be going back!

After Two Sun Kissed Weeks We Reluctantly Returned
After two sun kissed weeks we reluctantly returned to the UK. Casa Calma is a fantastic base for visiting the island, the apartment is well furnished and beautifully kept. The convenience of having dishwasher and washing machine are not to be underestimated! The resources within the apartment kept my 6 and 2 year old amused in the evening. La Residencia itself is quiet and well laid out with plenty of space for parking, it is only 2 minutes from a supermarket and 3 to a large shopping centre. The location of the apartment next to the pool meant a swim was less than a minute away, in the entire two weeks we were the only people who used it (really refreshing after a day spent on the beach, which was close enough for my two year old daughter to walk to). Having driven all over the island my family and I found that Costa Calma was the nicest location by far; no Brit theme pubs or hordes of drunken teenagers, just sand, sea, sun and really friendly people. I would thoroughly recommend it if you are looking for a break that gives you a wonderful location to enjoy the Island.

Costa Calma Is An Excellent Name For The Area As I
Costa Calma is an excellent name for the area as it is a very calm place. There's enough to do - and the beaches entertained the children for hours - but it really was a great place to relax. The apartment was a great haven and it's proximity to the pool meant the kids could play in it while the adults relaxed on the terrace (while still able to check the kids were OK - this would not be a recommended activity if you have very young children, of course!).

Costa Calma, La Residencia Is In An Excellent Loca
Costa Calma, La Residencia is in an excellent location close to beach and all amenities. First rate restaurants, convenient supermarkets and really cool bar - Fuerte action is only 1 minute walk away. The accommodation was luxurious - dishwasher, washing machine, bbq, satellite TV and very reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyable stay - we will be visiting again. The diving in the area is also first rate - good experience for qualified and learner divers alike. Great for the children too - miles of white sandy beaches ...

La Residencia Is A Newly Built Private Apartment C
La Residencia is a newly built private apartment complex in Costa Calma, Furteventura.
In January 2007 it was not finished and we'd therefore advise visitors to give it another year at least. We have just spent a week there, in a ground floor two bed Casa Isobela apartment, which we rented privately. We were almost alone. We were misled by the owner, over the facilities available. The swimming pool is not functional, the gardens do not exist. The view from our apartment, overlooking the so called delightful gardens and pool, was of a pile of rubble and a rusty storage container. The useless pool had recently had a dog drown in it, surrounded by orange netting. The apartment kitchen was well equipped but the promised satellite TV, sofa bed and washing machine do not exist. Sleeping 6, as advertised, would be extremely uncomfortable for two quests as there is no proper arrangement.
It is also impossible to ventilate the apartment without admitting all the local Mosquitoes and any opportunistic passer-by. No air conditioning, security or mosquito screens, and the ceiling fans were not functioning.
Other owner occupiers told us that the place is in management chaos and that mortgage and utility payments have been suspended. None of the apartments should be being rented commercially at this time.
A note on arrival told us that we could use the pool and terraces of a local hotel. There is no arrangement for this and we were challenged and evicted by their staff.
This place has promise for the future and is well located but do not risk your long anticipated holiday there for at least another year. Also, book centrally, not privately. You will then at least have someone on site to refer to.
