CHEW MAGNA FARMHOUSE - BATH - We are currently staying here for a friend's Hen. On a arrival we was greeted by unpleasant neighbours who were rude as we didn't know where we was going. Then we arrived at the home. This isn't a luxurious hen stay. The house is dated with dripping taps in the ensuite and uncomfortable beds and a long list of rules to follow like your at a army camp. OH AND THE OWNERS LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE !!! PLEASE BE AWARE!! a door in the kitchen and in the hall way leads directly from us to them so they can walk in anytime!!!!! We was told we are not aloud outside after 10pm which we agreed too. However we are a very tame hen party, the hen doesn't drink herself so we are rowdy we are just a group of middle aged women with children coming to celebrate and relax for the weekend. 5 of us ladies were laying on the trampoline and we was greeted by the very rude lady owner who told us no more than 3 or you will have to pay as you will break it. There no surround to this tatty old trampoline in the garden. She stormed off and we said nothing else and said no problem and we all got off it. Then organised through them we had a butler arrive. We was eating our dinner when he came and playing some games a man came storming over again to us sitting at the table in the garden and began shouting at us we are not to be outside it was 8PM!!!!! he said neighbours are complaining and they can hear us in the village. We was simply laughing, not screaming or shouting JUST LAUGHING!!! he told the butler just take these people inside, when we tried to say we are only laughing it's 8pm he shouted at us to go inside !! At this point we all felt extremely uncomfortable and so did the butler. We all went inside and it completely ruined our evening. I won't repeat everything what the butler said but he said you women are very tame I've had people blasting huge speakers in this garden and around 10 people on that trampoline so now to us this feels like a personal attack. We have rented somewhere we didn't know connected to there home and they share the garden. They cannot come into our space and shout at us!! They have ruined my friends hen do and we all ended up in bed at 10pm feeling very awkward and worried to make noise. Please do not rent this cottage as honestly the experience has been horrific we have to stay until Monday. We have paid nearly £3000 to stay here I honestly really wouldn't. They are rude, abusive and threatening and will happily invade the space you have rented. Please think twice as its really not pleasant!!!

I booked the Renovated Barn with Hot Tub for my friends hen party. The barn was perfect, lovely condition, the owners were friendly and the hot tub was indoors, which was perfect as the weather wasn't great. We had the chef on the Friday (Food was delicious), and we had the beauty treatments on the Saturday, which I would highly recommend! All of the girls said that the massage was one of the best they have had, we had a mix between the facials and the massages and everyone enjoyed it. Only issue for one of the girls was that the woman doing her facial stepped out for a smoke beforehand, and unfortunately didn't wash her hands on her return. So my friend could smell the smoke. But that was one girl out of 14 of us... so would still recommend. Acacia Cottages were brilliant! They were so helpful and friendly and made the job of organizing ALOT easier. I dealt with a lady throughout and she was excellent. I would highly recommend both this site and the Renovated barn!

Acacia Cottages were absolutely fantastic, I booked a hen weekend through them and the quality for money was perfect! They were so friendly and helpful I would 100% recommend them if your booking a hen! We stayed at the Chew Magna Farmhouse, the owners were so lovely and it was the perfect place for all 14 of us!

Acacia cottages were absolutely fantastic at organising my sister's hen weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They found us a lovely apartment to stay in in the centre of Bath and booked us really fun activities. We had a private chef on the Friday night (the food was fantastic) and we had a 1940s makeover on the Saturday which was so much much. I would highly recommend using Acacia cottages if you're organising a hen do.

II just wanted to say thanks so much for all your help and effortwith organising the weekend just gone. It was absolutely faultless; the house was beautiful, the hot tubs glorious, everything ran seamlessly and every person who came over from the masseuses to the cab driver was friendly and helpful. Everyone said how much they loved the house and the weekend. I have to admit that I was nervous about booking through an agency as opposed to direct and you have totally proved me wrong! It was seamless and I will certainly be recommending you guys for any future parties and hens. A special mention to the agent at Acacia who is patient, friendly and thorough and a pleasure to deal with. The pics didn't do the house justice. It was beautiful.

Acacia Cottages was on hand every step of the way and no request was too much trouble. Professional and helpful throughout. We stayed at Gloucestershire House for a hen party, the venue was perfect, plenty of social space for a group of 14. Thank you once again.

We had a fantastic time on my hen weekend organised by Acacia Cottages. They booked all our activities and everything went great. The Stone House in Derbyshire was fantastic, it had the wow factor, the facilities were a massive bonus, and the owners were lovely. I would recommend Acacia cottages to anyone. She was quick to get back to you with any questions/ queries and very organised.

Just returned from a hen party at The Country House near Ashford, that was organised through Acacia Cottages. Would like to say a huge thank you to them for the weekend, it was absolutely perfect! The weekend was organised so well with all the activities, and it completely surpassed our expectations. We loved the Butler in the Buff, the Beauticians and the Vintage Tea Party, all three were great and made the weekend really special. The hosts of the house were amazingly accommodating, we loved the house which was stunning! Thank you again so much for such a fab and special weekend, will definitely book again with you soon.

From start to finish the entire experience with Acacia Cottages was efficient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for the lady helping me. I liked the look of this house because it slept the exact amount of people (22) that we needed. I found it really difficult to find a single property that had a dining/living/sleeping area that accommodated 22 people so I was glad when I found this place. The payment service was great and meant that I didn't have to get all the money from everyone and they could pay Acacia directly. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely man and explained where everything was and left us to it. The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated. I was surprised at how big it was too which was great for a party weekend! Every room apart from two had it's own bathroom so it was lovely for us to have our own privacy and no queue for the shower! The activity of life drawing on Saturday was brilliant and the two ladies helping and male model were fantastic. We had so much fun and it was a great activity for everyone to join in with. We had 6 older ladies with us so it was fun for them too. They all worked really hard with organising us all and it ran really smoothy and it's something we will all remember. The mini bus picked us up on time on the Saturday night and took us to our meal in Cheltenham. The restaurant was good and we all got our pre-ordered courses soon after we arrived. We organised our own night life which was great and the mini bus was ready and waiting for us at 1.00am. Overall we had the best time and the Hen herself was really impressed and very thankful for "a perfect weekend". Thank you again for making it a special weekend for all of us.

The cottage could not have been more perfect for us during our stay and the owner was a fantastic host who attended to our needs promptly if we needed her. We had a few hiccups trying to figure out how to use the oven on the Saturday night and she was with us right away to show us how to use it. The cottage provided us with plenty of space in absolutely beautiful surroundings and as most of our entertainment took place at the cottage we felt we took full advantage of the accommodation and utilised all that it had to offer including playing polo on the lawn! The chefs on the Friday evening were great. They arrived with plenty of time to set up and exceeded my expectations in the quality of service and food they provided. We were all impressed with the quality and quantity of food that was served and the dining room at the cottage provided the perfect setting for the occasion. I forgot to buy tonic water which I only discovered when one of our party asked for a gin and tonic. Without my asking, one of the chefs googled where the nearest supermarket was, found out the opening times and gave me directions for how to get there. The chefs were patient with us and served our first course slightly later than planned to allow for me to get to the supermarket and back which I was very grateful for. Our dance instructor for the Saturday morning was just fabulous! We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the dance class from the warm up session at the beginning to the final choreographed performance at the end. We couldn't believe how much we had all learnt in the time that we were there. Our instructor was very patient with us and stayed a little longer with us to help us really polish our performance before we filmed our final routine. She gave us time to set up a smartphone to video us all so that she could still be part of the dance as opposed to filming the dance for us as we felt more confident following her as opposed to trying to perform the dance on our own! It was a great activity to do and was such a laugh and thoroughly enjoyed by all! It was lovely to get out of the cottage for a bit but still be surrounded by beautiful countryside and feel like we were still in Harrogate. The taxi you organised for us arrived promptly on the Saturday morning to take us to the dance class. The driver was very patient with us and waited an extra 15-20 mins whilst we filmed our dance before driving us back to the cottage. In terms of the Vintage Tea Party, it was unanimous amongst all of us that we could not praise the caterers enough for what they did. The were absolutely wonderful with us and such a pleasure to have with us for the afternoon. The way they decorated the table from the crockery to finishing touches was just beautiful and we were all taking photos. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it! They were so attentive and nothing was too much to ask. A lovely touch were the cookies they presented to us before they left as well as a personal card to the Bride to Be wishing her an enjoyable hen weekend and all the best for her wedding. It was completely unexpected and I think its touches like this that sets them apart from other caterers in my experience. They even stayed to take group photos of us as well as taking pictures of us all using their camera which they e-mailed to us the following day. I highly recommend them for future events in the area. We are all following them on twitter and liked their facebook page as we were so keen to show our appreciation for what they did. The cocktail lesson on the Saturday evening was a lot of fun! After a few cocktails, the majority of girls preferred to use the bartender as a bartender as opposed to learning from him how to make their own cocktails and he was happy to wait on us as opposed to try and educate us! Overall, I was really impressed with the fact that each party delivering an activity appeared to know what else we were doing over the weekend. So for example, I phoned the caterers who were dong the afternoon tea to inform them we would be arriving back at the cottage a little later than expected and they already knew we were at a dance lesson and that they hoped we were hungry after all the dancing! It felt nice that they knew without me having to explain. When we returned from the dance class we found that the owner of the cottage had let them in so they were able to start setting up for the afternoon tea before we arrived back. It was lovely to come back to the table all set. In terms of Acacia, I can't recommend the company enough. You took a lot of the stress out of organising a hen weekend which I am so grateful for. You were so prompt in your response to me each time and I didn't feel there was anything that I couldn't query with you or ask you about. I am so grateful for this. Like I said, it felt like the different people involved all had an idea of what were doing for the entire hen weekend and I can only think this information came from you in advance. As a result, the weekend felt coordinated and ran smoothly and this is down to your input I am sure. I've already recommended Acacia to friends.

Acacia helped us organise a wonderful hen weekend at their Gloucestershire House in Stroud. They took away all the stress of trying to figure out venues, restaurants, transport and activities and made it so easy for us. They were great about the numbers frequently changing and walked us through each step of the organisational and booking process. The house itself was perfect for our needs, there were 16 of us and we had a ridiculous amount of space! Almost all of us had our own room, most with ensuite bathrooms, so no queuing for the shower! The kitchen was perfect and, along with the garden, it was the space we spent most of our time in. The BBQ was an added bonus as we'd picked a lovely sunny weekend. We opted for pampering treatments on the Saturday, the ladies that came to the house were super organised, had been there before and knew exactly where to set up and how to make the experience perfect. In the evening Acacia organised a private dining room at a wonderful restaurant in Cheltenham followed by entry to a super cheesy club (exactly what the hen wanted!), they also organised a minibus which made it all so easy. All in all it was the perfect hen party and at a really reasonable price. Definitely reccommended!

Beautiful cottage, beautiful location. Everything we could have needed or wanted was arranged for us. Everyone we met who showed us round and the neighbours were lovely. The accommodation was perfect for a large group with a lovely big table in the garden with a beautiful view. Big living room, lovely big dining table inside the property. Spa across the court yard from the cottage which can be booked and has a gorgeous pool and hot tub and sauna, all very nicely decorated. We booked massages and manicures for all the hens. The two girls who gave the treatments were absolutely excellent and all the hens said that the massages were amazing and the manicures were done beautifully. This is an excellent choice for a hen do, I have been on around 15 hen dos recently and this is by far the best all round experience and accommodation.

Just came home from an amazing weekend away in the Somerset stone farmhouse for my sisters hen weekend. Accacia cottages took care of everything including all our activities even our taxis into Bristol and back. We had the best weekend ever everything went to plan and the outside services brought in to us by accacia delivered amazing 5 star service. I don't normally write reviews but could not let this weekend go without saying a massive Thank you. :) I still can't believe how easy it was to organise such a weekend away for 20 ladies. They really took the hard work out of it for me.

I have just returned from a weekend at Smith's House in Derbyshire for a friends' hen party. Being one of the organisers I contacted Acacia and spoke to them a lot in the couple of months leading up to the weekend. Being a group of 15 girls, nothing was straight forward but the staff were so helpful in answering our every query, accomodating every requirement and making changes at the last minute. The house itself was lovely - so spacious and comfortable. We did a dance class, had beauty therapists to the house and also the chef's prepared 3 course meal. Everything ran like clockwork and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. I have to thank Acacia for taking the pressure of what can be a very stressful thing to organise! One very small detail which I don’t think was included on the house information is that although each bedroom has an en suite, there was no hand soap. I think this should either be provided or at least included in the information so that we knew to take our own. But that was a very small criticism in an otherwise perfectly planned weekend!

The team at Acacia Cottage were a fantastic help in getting things organised and arranged for my friends recent Hen Do and the weekend did not disappoint. The girls and I had an amazing weekend and everything went perfectly. The Wild Country cottages were amazing and met all our needs, the host, although not on-site couldn't have done more to make us welcome. It was the perfect size, clean, tidy and in a beautiful setting. The first night was a great start to the festivities, the chief and unexpected waitress looked after our every needs, laying the table, moving chairs and table settings from the adjoining cottage and helping with drinks, allowing us to get the party started with a few get to know each other games. The Canapés were delicious and a perfect accompaniment to our festivities and the three courses dinner that followed was sublime. There was not one plate that wasn't wiped clean at every course. The mini bus journey to and from Bath was eventful and although friendly the driver was a little distracted but we made it there and back safely with full shopping bags and our tummies full of afternoon tea (browns was a great recommendation). The cocktail making was a highlight for most of the hens, one very attractive bar man and alcohol for a hen weekend makes for a great start to the evening. The cocktail choices were lovely and the games and interaction of the session keep everyone laughing throughout the night. The bar man was a great sport and even joined in with our dare cards which is very brave with 11 drunk ladies (LOL). Sunday saw a few sore heads but the pamper session soon sorted that out. The two beauty therapists were lovely and all the treatments went down extremely well. It was a really shame to leave but all good things must come to an end. However leaving the cottage to go for a final Sunday lunch went down well (another great recommendation thank you).

Acacia were very helpful from the start and helped us find something to fit our budget & location options. We were given plenty of information about the bristol farmhouse & local amenities which was really useful. We found it very easily with the directions provided. We wanted to decorate it before the bride arrived and it already looked very sweet and homely with bunting, fairy lights and candles. Online food shopping was delivered with no problems. The downstairs areas are open plan, great for a group to spend of us to time together while cooking and the downstairs toilet is handy. The first floor is individual bedrooms and the attic is 3 bedrooms connected to walk through. So privacy was limited in the attic but we made sure it was hens that all knew each other using those rooms. If some one in the attic needed to use the bathroom at night it does mean they are likely to wake up a few others on they're way down there. The main bedroom with en suite looked a great size, the other bedrooms are generally good sizes. We had lots planned and a busy day out Saturday so we didn't have much down time to use the tv or garden. But it would of been a nice place to spend the day if we had needed to. We had canapés and a 3 course meal cook for us as our activities. The food was fine and chef was very friendly and took some photos for us.

The weekend was fantastic! The Slylish Gloucestershire Cottage was amazing we were all blown away! Everything was so streamlined, all of the companies turned up on time with no fuss and the activities themselves were great too! The weekend ran so smoothly with no problems at all, thanks so much to all of you who helped to make Bekki's weekend un forgettable!
