CHEW MAGNA FARMHOUSE - BATH - We are currently staying here for a friend's Hen. On a arrival we was greeted by unpleasant neighbours who were rude as we didn't know where we was going. Then we arrived at the home. This isn't a luxurious hen stay. The house is dated with dripping taps in the ensuite and uncomfortable beds and a long list of rules to follow like your at a army camp. OH AND THE OWNERS LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE !!! PLEASE BE AWARE!! a door in the kitchen and in the hall way leads directly from us to them so they can walk in anytime!!!!! We was told we are not aloud outside after 10pm which we agreed too. However we are a very tame hen party, the hen doesn't drink herself so we are rowdy we are just a group of middle aged women with children coming to celebrate and relax for the weekend. 5 of us ladies were laying on the trampoline and we was greeted by the very rude lady owner who told us no more than 3 or you will have to pay as you will break it. There no surround to this tatty old trampoline in the garden. She stormed off and we said nothing else and said no problem and we all got off it. Then organised through them we had a butler arrive. We was eating our dinner when he came and playing some games a man came storming over again to us sitting at the table in the garden and began shouting at us we are not to be outside it was 8PM!!!!! he said neighbours are complaining and they can hear us in the village. We was simply laughing, not screaming or shouting JUST LAUGHING!!! he told the butler just take these people inside, when we tried to say we are only laughing it's 8pm he shouted at us to go inside !! At this point we all felt extremely uncomfortable and so did the butler. We all went inside and it completely ruined our evening. I won't repeat everything what the butler said but he said you women are very tame I've had people blasting huge speakers in this garden and around 10 people on that trampoline so now to us this feels like a personal attack. We have rented somewhere we didn't know connected to there home and they share the garden. They cannot come into our space and shout at us!! They have ruined my friends hen do and we all ended up in bed at 10pm feeling very awkward and worried to make noise. Please do not rent this cottage as honestly the experience has been horrific we have to stay until Monday. We have paid nearly £3000 to stay here I honestly really wouldn't. They are rude, abusive and threatening and will happily invade the space you have rented. Please think twice as its really not pleasant!!!

I booked the Renovated Barn with Hot Tub for my friends hen party. The barn was perfect, lovely condition, the owners were friendly and the hot tub was indoors, which was perfect as the weather wasn't great.

We had the chef on the Friday (Food was delicious), and we had the beauty treatments on the Saturday, which I would highly recommend! All of the girls said that the massage was one of the best they have had, we had a mix between the facials and the massages and everyone enjoyed it. Only issue for one of the girls was that the woman doing her facial stepped out for a smoke beforehand, and unfortunately didn't wash her hands on her return. So my friend could smell the smoke. But that was one girl out of 14 of us... so would still recommend.

Acacia Cottages were brilliant! They were so helpful and friendly and made the job of organizing ALOT easier. I dealt with a lady throughout and she was excellent.

I would highly recommend both this site and the Renovated barn!

Acacia Cottages were absolutely fantastic, I booked a hen weekend through them and the quality for money was perfect! They were so friendly and helpful I would 100% recommend them if your booking a hen! We stayed at the Chew Magna Farmhouse, the owners were so lovely and it was the perfect place for all 14 of us!

Acacia cottages were absolutely fantastic at organising my sister's hen weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They found us a lovely apartment to stay in in the centre of Bath and booked us really fun activities. We had a private chef on the Friday night (the food was fantastic) and we had a 1940s makeover on the Saturday which was so much much. I would highly recommend using Acacia cottages if you're organising a hen do.

II just wanted to say thanks so much for all your help and effortwith organising the weekend just gone. It was absolutely faultless; the house was beautiful, the hot tubs glorious, everything ran seamlessly and every person who came over from the masseuses to the cab driver was friendly and helpful. Everyone said how much they loved the house and the weekend.

I have to admit that I was nervous about booking through an agency as opposed to direct and you have totally proved me wrong! It was seamless and I will certainly be recommending you guys for any future parties and hens.

A special mention to the agent at Acacia who is patient, friendly and thorough and a pleasure to deal with.

The house was beautiful, i don't think the pictures did it justice! We had a great weekend here, the facilities were perfect for a large group with enough space inside and out (parking), bathrooms, kitchen etc

Its a lovely location for both countryside and city exploring with lots to do in the surrounding area.

We were left alone to enjoy the property after a thorough show round.

I would definitely return should i be in that area with a large party again.

The information sent prior to the stay was comprehensive and the people i dealt with at Acacia were always helpful in answering any questions i had.

The only small issue was the TV in the lounge, the sound doesn't carry very well due to the size of the room, surround sound or something similar is needed, its too muffled to hear words.

I have just returned from my daughter's hen weekend, at the Oxfordshire Farmhouse. These things are not easy to organise! but the staff at Acacia Cottages made the process a lot easier. They were helpful, accommodating and patient, and gave excellent advice. This resulted in exactly the type of hen weekend my daughter requested. The therapists and treatments were excellent, and the chef-prepared meal was fabulous. Everyone who attended has been so complimentary ever since. We may have to find an excuse to do it all over again next year.....!

Acacia Cottages was on hand every step of the way and no request was too much trouble. Professional and helpful throughout. We stayed at Gloucestershire House for a hen party, the venue was perfect, plenty of social space for a group of 14.

We had a fantastic time on my hen weekend organised by Acacia Cottages. They booked all our activities and everything went great. The Stone House in Derbyshire was fantastic, it had the wow factor, the facilities were a massive bonus, and the owners were lovely. I would recommend Acacia cottages to anyone.

She was quick to get back to you with any questions/ queries and very organised.

Just returned from a hen party at The Country House near Ashford, that was organised through Acacia Cottages. Would like to say a huge thank you to them for the weekend, it was absolutely perfect! The weekend was organised so well with all the activities, and it completely surpassed our expectations.

We loved the Butler in the Buff, the Beauticians and the Vintage Tea Party, all three were great and made the weekend really special.

The hosts of the house were amazingly accommodating, we loved the house which was stunning!
