What a shame, all staff so friendly and nice when your in booking your holiday. When there is a problem, they really don't want to know and we was lied to our faces once we was back off Holiday. On the Hays website it said if your dissatisfied with your travel experience they offer a no quibble refund guarantee, went into store about this she said I've never heard of that and other staff members shaking there head. it ws literally on the main screen on Hays website, yet nobody knew about it or the company they work for. due to being lied to our faces we would never step foot in that store or book with Hays again. feel free to contact myself if anyone has had a complaint pre April 2024 as I have the screenshots that proves what was on there website at the time our holiday was booked.

“Disappointed”

Despite having spend a lot of money with holidays via Hays .. the Customer Service has been appalling no updates regarding flights holiday or excursions booked with them has to arrange everything ourselves with foreign company (who were fantastic)

“Will Never book with Hays Tavel”

Poor customer, minimal information about the holiday. They dont tell you what is included in the deal, or go onto depth about what your buying.All they talk about is the price going up to scare you into making the booking. No care for the customer, no cooling off period, I can't believe in todays world travel agents can get away with selling packages and not being held responsible for not giving information.

“Worst holiday and poor customer service to help resolve ”

Horrendous customer service We booked to go to zante via hays travel and classic holidays provided the accommodation via them. We had the worst all inclusive holiday. We ended up eating out every day for an 11 nights stay which we hadn’t budgeted for. There was so many issues that I tried to resolve while in resort to just be passed from pillar to post by hays and classic collections. This was our first family holiday in 4 years due to covid and also the worst for us all. I had photos and videos for evidence of all the problems to name only a few, the safety in the room, room situated no view, 100’s of stairs to get to restaurants, no entertainment as stated, no food labelled , dirty pools, wasps swarming self serve drinks machine the list goes on. Truly disappointing wouldn’t even give a star to this hotel or company for their poor customer service and not trying to compensate us for all the extra cost or poor quality holiday. Hays completely passed the blame even though it was them who I booked with and who I asked all the questions to about the hotel, destination etc as never been before. Wouldn’t recommend them or classic holidays.

“Hays refused to give refund about balcony”

We paid extra for a balcony On arrival it was on ground floor with table and chairs outside, no balcony. No Tui present and easily contactable Told to check in online ourselves 24 hours prior for boarding on route back. Again via online Other holiday makers had booked via Tui directly and had access to app we didn't as booked through Hays Hays refused to give refund about balcony Advise to book directly via others which we will be doing next time

“ i bought philippino pesos from them yesterday in...”

 i bought philippino pesos from them yesterday in sunderland and they only had 3000 of them but i couldnt get them anywhere else and it cost me £54. 67 for £44 worth, thats almost 25% extra, avoid go to tui or somewhere else

Booked our holiday with help and advice from the agent in the Greenock Travel Agents. She listened to what we had to say, made helpful suggestions about suitable destinations and took us through the process without rushing any of it. She explained everything clearly and had such a helpful approach. We were delighted with the service and would use and Recommend Hays Travel to others.

At present we are in Mexico recommended hotel by hays travel it’s a hole we have moved out of the hotel and are currently paying for another hotel DO NOT LISTEN to their advice lots of bull to get their commission we have spent an extra £1200 on top of the holiday price due to their deceit I will be taking further with travel authorities ABTA

“Terrible travel agents.”

Paid full amount to far east for March year 2020. The travel was cancelled due to covid. I asked for the cash refund on Oct as I could not see any longer, I'd be able to travel due to my age. The agent told me it was too late. Too late? I never have informed option by them. They became very defensive making all sorts of excuse to cover their backsides. Never use Hays again.

I booked flights in May and June 20 and paid over £1800 these got cancelled due to covid 19 and refund was requested and we are now 4 months on since my depature date and no refund when i contact them all they keep saying no update emailed customer service on few occasion but they just dont reply at all. Disgraceful as when i booked them they wanted full payment as it there policy (which is fine) but 4 months on and they still got my money.

Hayes travel representative decided that she didn’t want to speak with me anymore so she wouldn’t reply to my emails telephone calls texts I wrote a complaint directly to her for the attention of her manager and never heard anything back they are owing me money and I have got no one to contact so in the end I had to go to the CEO to try to get my money would never recommend

Used them once and NEVER AGAIN! Used them for the first time and NEVER EVER again! Paid a package holiday in full, due to Covid-19 I was informed I'd get a full refund, they then said I could have vouchers. Then they just vanished! Local branch have blocked me on messenger as I was trying to contact them regarding my options, the new helpline is useless they only take your details (which they already have) and promise you a call back- which never happens, they ignore you on social media....But, in the midst of all this they still have the staff and the time to put together and advertise new package holidays!! Shameful company and I will now be seeking legal advice!

My friend and I booked a 10 day holiday to Kuta in Bali. When we arrived, we found that the transfer driver had never heard of our hotel, and tried dropping us to 3 different hotels instead. The hotel we booked didn’t actually exist under that name, so after an 18 hour journey to get to Bali we were taken to different hotels in the area to see if any were the hotel we were meant to be staying at. Eventually we found the right one (under a totally different name) and it was actually under construction, which no one had told us about. We had to change rooms due to all the banging around, and it was still no better. When I rang Hays, no one apologised and it was made to sound as if I was being stupid. They did not offer to move us until I asked about it, and even then they said it wasn’t guaranteed that we could be moved and no compensation for being in potentially the wrong hotel was available. The area we were in was not suitable for 2 young women and every time we stepped out of our rooms we were leered at and intimidated by the construction workers under our balcony. Eventually we became so fed up that we flew home early, at a cost to ourselves and no apology whatsoever from Hays. A dreadful holiday with Hays and we would never book with them again.

“Poor customer service”

I was given some gift vouchers for Hays, I couldn't use them as I was working away. They expired after a year and shortly after they expired I asked Hays if they could be renewed to which I was told no. After many emails going backwards and forwards (me chasing up my questions) I eventually got told that as the companies financial year runs from November to November they had already filed their accounts and can not extend them. They took my companies money and provided nothing for it. Their customer service is slow and they are stuck with internal procedures causing problems for their customers. I would not recommend them for gift vouchers and would not recommend their customer services either.

Booked holiday for me and my dad. Booked holiday for me and my dad. Original hotel went to book was unavailable despite showing as available on website. They said despite us wanting 2 single occupancy rooms, this was impossible unless we booked 4 flights! Asked me to select another hotel. Did this and the same happened again!! I could book these direct so couldn't understand what the problem was. They then recommended me a hotel and I felt pressured into it. After reading trip advisor reviews giving it 1 star because of food poisoning and generally being terrible I phoned the following morning to cancel and they said I would lose my £100 deposit! I sent several emails and was told it was being sent to a different department and they said I wouldn't be getting my deposit back. I would never use this company again and strongly suggest you don't either.

We've booked to go to Florida in November and have used Travel Service Floridawho are part of Hays Travel. The price is excellent and Andy Jackson has been brilliant. Just wondering if anyone has used this company before to go to Florida?
