Former Miss Texas Delaney Davis-Daniels met the hunk when she went out with her friends. They talk about lap dancing and more as the alcohol flows. Delaney and the stud end up in bed together. To her it was heaven until the "morning" after when she learns she was sleeping with the enemy. Her terrific bedfellow is her former spouse's divorce attorney Lucas Church.

Delaney vows to never see Lucas again; Lucas vows to definitely see Delaney again. When their "matchmaker" is murdered, the police suspect Delaney killed her louse of a spouse in a crime of passion. She plans to prove otherwise by uncovering the identity of the real culprit. Lucas vows to help the woman he loves on her quest while praying for a miracle in which he keeps the girl out of jail, keeps his law license as disbarment is possible, and keeps the girl.

REMEMBER THE ALIMONY is a wonderful, lighthearted, chick lit, amateur sleuth romance starring two likable protagonists. The storyline is fast-paced from the moment Lucas bids on her dancing but quickly twists into a murder mystery as Delaney knows the cops are only looking at her; for that matter so is Lucas but his motive is different. Disavowing Texas "truisms" of never sleep with the enemy and your ex's lawyer is clearly an enemy combatant even if you fall in love with him, fans will enjoy Delaney's motto REMEMBER THE ALIMONY not the hunk.
