“The cutlery basket on my Beko D2731F slimline...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Jheath17 on 23/09/2006

The cutlery basket on my Beko D2731F slimline dishwasher is too weak. The handles of my stainless steel knives break through and jam the spinners. The top draw is difficult to pull out, and it jams frequently. The door does not shut easily, and a knee is needed to make it shut. The cleaning is very poor. I have to set it at the highest temperature and longest time to get any cleaning. However, at only 16 months old it has packed up completely. My last dish washer lasted for 10 years!!

The service department do not answer any calls, and I just get a recorded message. SO far I have sent three emails without any reply.

In the interest of being fair, I wish to update you on my problems with the Beko D2731F dishwasher. A engineer from Swift appliances Leicester came to repair my machine. He found that the water supply to the top spinner leaked due to a badly fitted seal. With this repaired, the performance has improved, and its cleaning is now acceptable.

Very fair and accurate assessment; prepared to update on the situation as things have progressed. I would not now buy a Beko having read a number of adverse reports on them.
<br/>Thank you JHeath17.

“The Beko D2731F is the first dishwasher I have owned...”

★★☆☆☆

written by Sam2904 on 04/08/2004

The Beko D2731F is the first dishwasher I have owned as my husband has always done the washing up so we were both very excited when it was delivered.
We followed the instructions carefully when we did the first wash but everything came out with a film on and the glasses were all cloudy. We put this down to teething problems and adjusted the salt/rinse aid. We did this everytime we used the machine over a period of 2 months and then resigned ourselves that there was actually something wrong with the machine.
The engineer came out and confirmed that there was a problem with the softner unit and we would need to get a new part. This was ordered but they couldn't confirm when it was due in.
We waited 3 weeks and still no new part so we rang BEKO who gave us an uplift number to get a new machine delivered from Currys.
This was all done and a new machine arrived within 2 weeks.
We are now 3 weeks on from them and having the same problems. An engineer has again confirmed that the softner unit is faulty and that they would need to order the part but can't confirm when it will be in.
We have now given up with this machine and got another uplift number from BEKO so Currys can take the machine away.
We have decided to get another dishwasher but are going to try a different make.

“I have installed two Beko Dishwasher Units in the past...”

written by john lane on 13/07/2004

I have installed two Beko Dishwasher Units in the past month and both appear to give the same result, various powders and tablets have been used but every wash comes out salty and filmed.
