It was a fun film and is child-friendly, so you can watch it as a family there was a main plot twist which change perspective on how you saw everyone over all I would recommend

Night at the Museum is a sweet and funny story about a dead beat father Larry (Ben Stiller) trying to pull his socks up and get a job to improve his relationship with his son. Larry is assigned a post in a museum as a Night Watchmen, where he is told he will be replacing the 3 older guards who don't seem too happy about the change.
On his first night he realises there is a lot more to this job than first meets the eye when all the exhibits come to life! If he wants to keep his job (and stay alive) he has to find a way of keeping the walking, talking wax works and stuffed animals out of trouble.
This is a really nice little film that kids and adults should enjoy.

From the advertisements in cinema, I expected Night At The Museum to be quite scary. This was not the case. I found the film to be really entertaining. The film has a good storyline and is filled with good, humourous action.
I think the sight of the charging dinosaur skeleton may be too frightening for very young children, but overall, a fantastic family film.

Perhaps my expectations were off, but I found the movie pretty childish and boring for long stretches, and I'm a Ben Stiller fan. A pretty disappointing affair, all in all.

Night at the Museum is a fun, family-friendly, entertaining film that people of all ages should enjoy - films like this don't come along very often anymore and I think it's a crying shame. It's the same type of film as The Goonies - a mixture of fantasy, adventure, action and comedy that you can just sit down and thoroughly enjoy.
The special effects are great and the cast is brilliant - Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan pretty much steal the show, but Ben Stiller gives a good performance and it's great to see the legend that is Dick Van Dyke back on the big screen where he belongs. Obviously it's not as good as The Goonies (because nothing is) but in the screening I attended there were people of all ages from young children to grandparents and every one of them was having a good time which in my books is the mark of a good film. Not a masterpiece and it probably wont be winning any Oscars but I still wholehartedly recommend it if you're looking for a couple of hours of escapist fun for you or your entire family.
