Jandia Dunas Paradise Resort Is Fantastic. Take N
Jandia Dunas Paradise resort is fantastic. Take no notice of the bad reviews. We stayed for 3 weeks in Jan 2010 and there is nothing to complain about at all.
We stayed in the villas that people complain about. Brilliant. They were spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and huge. The villa had a pleasant living area and the courtyards and fountains in the villa areas were picturesque.
We were all inclusive and there was nothing wrong with the food - lots of choice and very varied. I am a fussy eater and there was plenty for me to choose from. I do not eat meat but there were lots of other things to eat. The food was international, as were the guests. English people are catered for, as are the other nationalities. Lots of variety for breakfast, including bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, tomatoes, various choices of bread, cakes and croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cooked meat and cheese, pancakes and eggs were freshly cooked on the griddle, Lunch and dinner had several choices of meat each day. Fish and meat were cooked on the griddle in front of the guests. Lots of choice of meat, including pork chops, lamb chops, sirloin steak, chicken and turkey steaks, rabbit stew, veal casserole, chicken curry, Chinese meals etc. There was always a choice of fresh vegetables, lots of different salads, and of course plenty of choice for desserts. There were huge legs of pork being carved, lots of seafood, potatoes cooked in different ways, and there was always choices of pasta dishes. We never heard anyone complain about the food (or anything else)
The staff were all very friendly and polite, in all areas, including gardeners and maintenance. The shows each night were very good, the animation team worked hard and the shows were really varied.
The gardens are very well looked after and everything is extremely clean and well maintained, from the hotels to the pools and pathways.
The train was working every day during our 3 weeks. We did not use it as it is not far to walk from the hotel area to the main road, It is a pleasant walk as the gardens are so pretty with well looked after trees, shrubs and flowers. I expected a really steep hill it is just a gentle slope!!
There were plenty of British people staying at the complex, so do not imagine that it is all German. We were certainly treated with respect and friendliness by all the staff, including reception staff who DID speak English and sorted out a problem for us quickly, pleasantly and efficiently.
I would like to compliment all of the staff for their hard work. You were all brilliant. Hopefully people will ignore the ridiculous reviews that some people write.. I must admit to being apprehensive myself after seeing what some people had written. However, we discovered it was a wonderful place to stay.
Some people must just be professional complainers.
Hotel staff take the luggage (and guests) to the accommodation on arrival and pick luggage up again on departure (just book it at reception). Deposit for pool towels is £15 Euros per towel from reception.
Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable

I Took My Children Here For The Christmas Holidays
I took my children here for the Christmas holidays, I cannot praise the childerens kids club staff enough they were great, fun to be with and ensured that all the kids left with them were having fun. The hotel staff were extremely efficient and helpful, the rooms were kept sparkling clean in fact our sheets were all changed on Christmas Day. The only 2 bad things were 1) the promised heated pools were not heated and until I spoke with the pool cleaner (they were pool hoovered every other day). I was not aware that the heater had broken and would not be replaced till the day after we left.2) The food as my daughter is veggie she spent 2 weeks living on chips, salad & plain pasta - the waiting staff were very good in the main buffett and arranged for a special meal for her on Christmas day. Although I did enjoy my stay I did not feel the resort as such did not live up to my expectation - I possible have been spoiled by other fully inclusive resorts and UK 4* hotels
If You Are Thinking Of Going To Stay At A Low Cost
If you are thinking of going to stay at a low cost hotel in Fuerteventura, forget the Dunas Paradise Hotel.
There was always a bad smell. The food wasn't very good. The room was dirty. Also, very bad service, Pools etc.
