Fifth time they have been late paying affiliates in the last 6 months through tradedoubler. Avoid like the plague

They imply information is there - there is nothing more than the free info. Offered a refund from chief executive “if I remove this review” - so they lack any integrity too!!!! Mr xxx Following your LinkedIn message, I have investigated your complaint. The Background Report that you purchased was as advertised and there are no particular grounds upon which we need to refund you though when customers are unhappy I normally authorise refund without hesitation. At the same time, we do not appreciate defamatory accusations being posted on the internet so a refund will not be provided unless and until your accusation is deleted. Best

This is a very mislleading service and difficult and expensive to understand. Each click you are charged for and dosnt give you the information you are looking for as it very out of date. My credits were used up in 5 minutes costing me £17.94. I didn't find the info I was looking for and then the service told me I needed to buy more credits to access. It's a waste of your hard earned cash. Don't use it!!!

Out of date so no good for finding friends who have moved. Once the name is found each click costs a credit even when there is no info there. So looking for a friends phone number is hopeless. I clicked on phone which cost a credit of £2.49 plus vat to find there was no number listed. Without knowing what each click will bring you don't know what you are looking for. I used the whole £15 in about 5 minutes on six clicks and still haven't found my friend's current address or phone number. Don't bother. There should be a guide telling you what is available to view before you buy.

I have used this service several times and have found it out of date, with no breakdown of charges/costs/searches. Very poor service

I did not receive any information that I didn't already have access to. £17.99 for nothing and no way to get a refund. The fastest sham in town.

Very little information actually available on the web-site. Any real information has to be paid for at vast expense. Then when you have paid vast sums of money (for information that is freely avaialble if you pop down to your local library) they take any monies remaining in you account away after just a month! This site is a complete rip-off and should be avoided at all costs!

Was trying to find an address of an old friend to send a letter on to. Got the necessary credits with some to spare as they seemed to be cheap and was then informed that I had to upgrade ALL the credits at a ridiculous cost as I needed to have FULL ACCESS credits to proceed. This should have been made plain when I selected the name of the person I was after and not after I'd bought the first lot of credits. To upgrade them all (I bought 100) would cost me another £45 + VAT. Allowing me to upgrade one or two or so would have been acceptable but refusing me the opportunity to do so is in character with their FULL ACCESS rip off . . This is a bad organisation representing itself as a legit business. Stay away or be very careful indeed. Buy the minimum number of credits possible in case you're hit with the FULL ACCESS manoeuvre. Not happy.

One of Dr R Home's research interests (amongst others)Town planning and enforcement, especially Gypsy/Traveller accommodation issues currently acting agent Rear Blackheath Road Lowestoft, Suffolk and previously known involvement Dale Farm. I am a resident of Blackheath Road with direct family links from 1985 with every right the deceased had possessed from 2013. Dr R Home’s gives a false representation, his involvement identified likely that only of theoretical (requiring personal operation at a keyboard) than pragmatic and this can be credited by the questionable inaccuracy of the contents of his reports and latest Appeal Hearing 19 July 2016 at Riverside Business Centre, Riverside Road Lowestoft, Suffolk followed by a site visit. Ironically, Dr Homes acts as agent for those housing applicants clearly financially advantaged and with existing homes and other lands acquired than preferential for those different groups in the community significantly oppressed by poverty and homelessness and it is questionable whether any of their exceptions are genuine and preventing settled communities the right to live in peace and quiet on land genuinely bought and paid than deliberate deception to secure unlawful land gain of which he is actively in the knowledge. Mr Homes infinitely and customisable clients are of questionable authenticity and belie their own origins of style and family from Gypies/Travellers to conveniently define that for settlers per his current clients (above)and having an attitude of patronizing superiority for financial advantages and thinks he holds official bodies to ransom. We the Residents are not seeing your through rose coloured spectacles but acting Agent to outwit from another Dale Farm fiasco at tax payers' expense.

I find what I need on 192.com, but their credits system is not great, could be dramatically improved
written by AussieDiva on 04/05/2016
It's easy to express how grateful I am for the assistance I received from one of your staff members. The service provided by 192.com is remarkable and when it's presented by someone who is both professional and knowledgeable it goes up a notch. When that person takes the time and effort to go that step further then words almost fail me (and that's a first) but here goes. I've been trying for a few years to locate a friend and former neighbour (from the time we lived in the UK for a year) with whom I'd lost touch. I used every form of social media and other options, with no success but I kept persisting with the quest, hoping for a breakthrough. A very kind person at the Essex Council records office also went the extra mile in the past couple of days, giving me what turned out to be a vital clue (my, I sound like Miss Marple) which was a second initial. She also suggested that I try 192.com, of which I had no prior knowledge. I read everything on your web site - and ended up a little confused but more of that later, after the compliments. Eventually I sent off a query and was quite surprised to receive an almost immediate response, couched in understandable language, with clear instructions about how to buy those credits that were proving to be elusive to this first time Australian user. Credits sorted, I got to work, expecting that I'd be sitting here for hours searching - but NO. 192.com worked its magic and in seconds I had all the information I needed - and in less than five minutes I was on the phone talking to our dear friend. I recognised her voice immediately as, to my astonishment, she recognised mine and it was as if that gap of many years simply hadn't been. The only 'problem' I encountered is that (to me at least), the way for an overseas enquiry to proceed isn't very clear. I tried to fill in the option that requires details and came unstuck with the post code, realising that it would only accept a British post code but where to go from there? It was then that I went searching for your help desk and learned that I could only use PayPal, which wasn't an issue, but from my perspective, that necessity isn't immediately apparent, so perhaps a note saying that it is the only method available for non UK residents could be helpful - just a thought. I also want to add that since I was unfamiliar with the system I was a little dismayed to watch my credits literally disappear as I worked and I mentioned that to the staff member in one of our exchange emails. Amazingly he gave me more credits 'as a goodwill gesture'. I explained that I wouldn't be using the service again on this matter as I'd made the contact but that I truly appreciated his kind offer. I'm sure that management gives the ok to this type of goodwill offer, authorising its use from time to time, and in this case, your staffer exercised that option AND added to my appreciation of the service you offer. I only wish that we had a similar service in Australia. For now, my sincere appreciation of your service and your staff member who truly showed the human face of a large organisation. You're all tops in my book.

just before Christmas I decided to try to trace some old friends I hadn't heard from for years and so I used the 192 service. I found the information I needed and thought that was it. Unfortunately I must have inadvertently agreed to pay out a small monthly subscription for other services. As I didn't realise this I wondered why the money was being deducted from my current account for the 2 months since Christmas. Consequently I rang192 today with a certain amount of trepidation, thinking that they would keep me on hold for ages and I wouldn't get satisfaction at the end of the call. However on ringing , I was very pleasantly surprised to find them extremely customer friendly, hence this email. To start with, the phone only rang a couple of times before it was answered and then, by a real person , a very pleasant young man. I explained what had happened and he immediately told me that there was no problem, he would cancel my subscription and he subsequently offered to refund the 2 months payments back to me. Other organisations should take a leaf out of your book. I, and thousands of others like me are fed up of having to hang on for ages when they ring and then to be answered either by a robotic voice or someone with little command of English and then being fobbed off at the end of it all. So thanks again tothe person I dealt with on behalf of your organisation. Regards,

From: XXXX Sent: 08 February 2016 11:47 To: 192 Customer Feedback Subject: Re: Account and Subscription Query - FAO YYYY Dear YYYY (or whichever colleague opens this) Thank you for the prompt and efficient 'no-hassle response' (cancellation of subscription) to my concern at having apparently signed up for a subscription rather than the 1-off set of 192 Searches that I mistakenly thought, at first. Incidentally, you might mention to a manager that this good customer service (actually 'exceptional', these days) raises at least one customer's confidence in dealing with 192.com, and makes it more likely that I will use you again, and will mention it to others if the occasion arises. Many thanks - XXXX

I looked for someone before I bought and received several results so I paid £11 to get further results. I got only one result. I then run out of money in less than a minute changing the name around. You pay for 6 clicks NOT 6 results!!!! Don't waste your money, WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!! ANGRY TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!

You pay nearly twelve pounds to look at info that can be seen for free. You are then informed you need to upgrade to see any details which costs another fiver. At that point I cancelled my account on the phone. I feel stupid for falling for their tricks.

I spent £11.00 on what I thought was access to the website and information. Absolute lies, the website then demanded an additional £6.00 to access the information.

I have just paid £35.94 for a handful of crdits to get some information that would have been very useful to me. I put in a name and address and got some basic details: an hour later I put in the same query and got nothing. It is monstrously overpriced, everything yo request leads to demands for more money to get "full details", and your crdit plummets to nothing as you try to make it work. And basically, I don't think the system works!

I received all wanted information from Land Registry for £3. Your site led me to believe another buyer some years later - which turned out to be untrue. The rest of the report was unwanted and easily accessible for free. Very unhappy and feel I have been deceived. I will never use 192 again and will warn friends of your misleading tactics.

Same happening to me. Information supplied was common knowledge. This used to be a good, in-depth way for finding difficult information, now it’s just a rip off. I will not be using it again and advise others not to waste their money.
