FIRST AWFULL REVIEW EVER!!! please be aware of this company and avoid at all costs. I tried to make a claim initially but as I had and SP50 I did not make them aware of they were only willing to pay a small percentage of my claim. “Lloyds Bank car Insurance”

I'm aware that Lloyds Bank Car Insurance do read some of these reviews and do their best to have them removed, On that basis this is an honest no punches pulled review. I started my Car Insurance with Lloyds Bank car Insurance on December 23rd, and paid them a deposit with my card, and took out my cover. “Kids on commission”

I expected high quality from Lloyds Bank, and the price was good. But after a smash these kids pushed me around from department to department, trying to get out of everything. I had to argue for days just to get the courtesy car which I had paid extra for, and then they wanted it back suddenly. Then they took extra charges from my bank account. “No loyalty here”

How the face of insurance has changed. There was a time when you could go to an insurer when you changed your car and it took five minutes to make an adjustment and they were happy to do this. Having changed my car recently for a smaller one with lower fuel consumption and less car tax I rang up my insurers, LLOYDS and asked them to change the car over for me only to be told that they couldn't do that. Insured a vehicle with this mob but we made a claim against a third party on another policy and Lloyd increased our premium because of that. They believe you are more at risk to have an accident again even when uou’ve Been knocked from behind by someone else. I am a platinum A/C holder with Lloyds, tried to get car insurance quote online with 10% discount. Site kept saying I had entered wrong date of birth, rang call centre and passed from pillar to post with fancy irrelevant menu system, rang 4 different numbers given to me, put on hold, eventually gave up and put phone down, glad I am not insured with this company. “Administrative Rip Off”

Recently sold my car and had to cancel policy. Policy £160 annually and I paid it all in advance. When I went to ask to have policy cancelled after 8 months because I was selling my car I was told there would be an administrative fee, which is fair enough. However they then explained it would cost me £55 to cancel! I got £6.60 back from the policy...absolute rip off. Best to avoid Lloyds unless you know that you will not be changing anything as their admin fees are ridiculously expensive… Read Full Review

“48 minutes of my life wasted”

My windscreen was broken by a stone thrown up by a lorry wheel. I had the glass replaced next morning and contacted the call centre, indicated in the insurance policy, to launch a claim for the new windscreen reimbursement. I was on the phone for a total of 48 minutes, spoke to and was passed on to a different agent 7 times and got absolutely nowhere with my claim. Would never recommend lloyds insurance! After contacting them trying to resolve THEIR error found that it takes 2 days for a manager to call you back, 5 days for their so called customer relations to contact you!!!! Potentially leaving me uninsured, this problem is today, it needs resolving today!!! Not in 2 days time which will fall on a Saturday, no doubt the 2 days is business days. Or next week!!! I took out a policy with them in 2015 which was competitive. They automatically renewed the policy the following year more than quadrupling the amount charged and took direct debit payments. I didn't receive the renewal notice or the quote or I would have gone elsewhere, in happily thinking I'm paying a similar amount to the previous year. “Looked good first year.”

First year we got a good quote and took it. Couldn't get into online portal (they said because I had documents posted first time), so I didn't receive renewal quote. Had to ring them, Quote went from £180 approx to £322 approx with no changes. I was lured by the low price on 'Go-compare', all seemed ok until they CANCELLED my policy saying that I had not given full information of previous claims. Transpired that my previous insurers (Admiral) had not updated the database. OK- mistakes happen. This was their chance to look after a customer! Instead they charged me a cancellation fee, set up a new cover for me, then promptly closed this one again and charged me another cancellation fee! I used Lloyds as this is the bank I bank with to get car insurance...The actual company that provides the car insurance is BGL. I urge potential customers NOT to have any dealings what so ever with this company (BGL). The employees do not know what they doing and are very rude....On two occasions I have paid my monthly premiums by ringing up, on each occasions I have given the details of my bank card which are fine. I would urge all new customer to avoid Lloyds insurance. I renewed my car insurance comprehensive cover with Lloyds back in December 2015 thinking that I have a cheap insurance. I provided all evidence of my NCB and then I received an email telling me that I am insured for a year. Apparently I had to learn a hard lesson with Lloyds to learn that my insurance was cancelled in February 2016 without informing me.
