A frequent visitor to The Ocean Restaurant, I am continually surprised by the quality and value for money this restaurant offers. The Isle of Wight is not the gastronomic desert that many assume, and the Hambrough Hotel's restaurant (sibling to the Pond Cafe in Bonchurch) has consistently given us better service and food than many famous London restaurants.

Both front of house and cuisine run smoothly and efficiently. The food not only looks exquisite on the plate, but is also exquisite on the palate. The somewhat stark interior concentrates the focus on both the food, but also the outstanding location - huge windows offer stunning views of the coastline.
