“Penalised for a ‘No Fault’ Incident with my...”

Overall I have been happy with the communications and renewals from Dial Direct but a recent incident and a phone call to try and clear up has left me very dissatisfied with Dial. I was contacted as an accident had been flagged to them from 2019 which was with a different insurance company (Hastings) and was the other drivers fault (opened their driver door as I passed by) while I drove a company vehicle. “BUYER BEWARE!!!”

Beware!!! Downloaded proof of NCD when completing online with no issues. A couple of months later my premium more than doubled with no communication. I called and they wanted further evidence of a claim I didn't pursue. I forwarded evidence of notification purposes only with no claim made and no impact on NCD. The higher premium of £57.42 is still being taken rather than the £23.10 quoted. They've tried to suggest renegotiate my monthly payments. I just want to pay my quoted monthly… Read Full Review

Customer dissatisfaction logged.
Albeit you say you aim to resolve within 24 hours. T&C's say allow up to 8 weeks before going through the financial ombudsman.
I'd like to think with my name and your CSR name you can find me to resolve dispute and give full credit. Also hopefully also nearer the 24 hours.
I'll keep this post updated with your response times.

“Do not use”

So i had to make a claim on my home insurance over 2 years ago and am still waiting for it to be settled. I have made complaints but my claim remains unresolved and as my claim remains unsettled I cannot shop around for home insurance so my premiums have increased from £35 per month to £117 per month! I have complained to dial direct only to be told it’s a third party complaint and there is little they can do! Someone must be able to get this resolved for me? “Frustrating”

It is so frustrating to receive a renewal quote, as the policy is about to expire, and find that the price for renewal has shot up over the previous year by a substantial amount, and then upon ringing to find out what the cause of this is, to have the price immediately dropped to SLIGHTLY LESS than last year!! Both my son and I happily took out car insurance with Direct Dial in January 2020 with very competitive quotations which we were pleased with. However, on renewal, my son's vehicle remained almost the same and so we did a comparison and got the costs down to half that quoted by Direct Dial with 5 years no claims. “Terrible service from start to finish”

Very poor service I recently had my land rover broken into and 2 doors damaged. Initially quick to react I then had to deal with Markerstudy which was terrible. They arranged collection and inspection at a body shop but the body shop has now informed me it’s being returned unrepaired. 1 lock has been broken so the vehicle cannot even be secured. Additional to the above is you never get to deal with Dial Direct as all dealings are with Markerstudy who are the underwriters.
The phoned on friday to ask if i would accept £1200 less my excess to have the car back un-repaired !
I am totally puzzled by this company !
