I have called iWeb in December to sell my shares, While I was in the process I asked if I could transfer it to my husband instead. The person on the phone said yes. This information was incorrect the shares went out to my husband account and came back to me in a month period -WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION OR NOTE FROM IWEB- . “I-Web Staff - Incompetent and/or Careless ”

I can only report on the aspect of transferring all my and my wife's investment funds from the Fidelity platform to I-Web - simply to avoid having having to pay the 0.2% annual charge for holding my investments with Fidelity, which is nearly £500 pa in my case (I rarely trade once I buy into a fund). “Don't touch with a bargepole”

I have to agree with the other reviewers who say the service is dreadful. I recently placed an order to buy some shares with credit in my account. iWeb failed to execute the order saying there was insufficient credit in the account. It turned out they were looking at the wrong account. When I pointed this out they denied it and said the complaint was closed. Having a bad experience similar to yours, The only thing the staff are training for is to close the complains before giving any solutions.

I have to tell them 3 times not to close the complain during a conversation. Still awaiting for a solution.

“Incompetent and I've used them for over 15 years!”

Its going to be time for me to close down all my portfolios and move away from this company. This was a company that prided itself on customer service and was reasonably innovative. Now I find myself dealing with factually incorrect responses all the time and rude and surly staff who continually contradict one another. “Avoid”

Used them for several years. Online trading in shares is fine. Little to go wrong. But where human involvement is required, I've increasingly found they're often not competent. It has the feel of public sector bureaucracy and inefficiency. Just some examples: several funds they offer can't be bought online due to some glitch. So you have to trade by phone. “Get what you pay for”

iWeb add up to two days to the settlement period. The asset's stated settlement begins up to two days after dealing date at iWeb. This means when you sell an asset that has a four day settlement period first thing Friday morning, you might not see the cash in your account until the Monday of the week _after_ next. “Transfers unbelievably slow - locked account when we moved”

My wife and I both opened accounts here to transfer our ISAs last year. As were planning to move overseas, I called and confirmed specifically that we would have no problem operating the account with a foreign address. Then, when I advised them of an address change, they froze the account, of course this was after they demanded the 25 quid opening fee. should say "this has been ongoing on for months." I've transferred multiple pension and cash ISAs over the years--never has that taken more then a month. iWeb has one fund and cash...what is difficult here?

“Forced to sell at 20% below market”

I was using this site for a month or so and encountered issue that my trading partner hasn't had in years, on a different site! For example, iweb didn't give me an automated selling price for 20% of my shares! Which means that I can only opt for a negotiating order, that I have to take without seeing the actual selling price, which proved to be 25% lower than the trading price on that day (that remained unchanged)!!!! I applied for a share dealing account in March 2015 and couldn't get it activated over a month and eventually account was closed instead of solving my issue and dealing with my complaint. “OK ish if you only want to do a couple of trades a year.”

After just a few months with Iweb I got fed up with being sent to NT (negotiated trade) time and time and time again. This is where Iweb wont give you a buy or sell price at that time. Instead you let Iweb supposedly get the best deal they can at the time. What you're really doing is giving Iweb permission to get you a lousy deal, and they will, trust me. “Slow trades”

The trades are really slow. You sell a share at what you think is a decent price and it is executed sometimes hours later with a real risk of losing a lot of money as has happened to me. I suspect that they take the difference as I cant believe that in a computerised world it takes that long to execute a trade. Just submitted an application. As already mentioned by some other users I've been asked to reach a branch and show my ID. I ask for a 3 hour permission from work, I go there, waste 3 hours, show them ID and proof of address. After a few days nothing happens. “Rubbish!!! They never let you sell or Buy when you want.”

I was pulled in with low £5 commission. They always stop the realtime trade when your prices are moving up & wouldn't let you sell directly- instead they force you to make a negotiated deal. Which always happens 10-20 mins later when you have lost all your money & your share's value plunges down!!!
