Despite its problem with staying in tune, and hefty weight, i find this to be an incredibly good guitar, with a nice tone and the looks are astonishing. 9/10, but for the ten i would have to replace the machineheads.

Nice thick sound not as heavy as the standard! It stays in tune fairly long. However, the G string goes out of tune quicker and it's not as well made as the Gibson. Nice guitar, good sound, feels good.

The pickups are great but it doesn't stay in tune very well. All in all, it's a good guitar.

I use this guitar in a semi-pro band together with the roland cube 60 reviewed elsewhere. Having previously used burns and fenders I was a little disappointed by the muddy sound. I have adjusted the pickups to gain a little improvement. The machine heads are a little slack and allow the strings to work loose and I have had to spend time tightening up various switches etc that have worked loose. I paid £370 for the guitar and have owned it for two years. You could add a £1000 on for the real thing so pound for pound it isn't such a bad buy, but I wish I had bought another tele instead.

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom is a really good guitar, and it has got a really good finish. It is probably the best sounding Epiphone Guitar as I have an Gibson Studio and I have played an Epiphone standard, and there is a huge difference in sound. The hum bucker pickups are great. There really is no bad things about the Epiphone Les Paul Customs that I can think of, except the weight but that is not really a big problem. Over all, it's a great guitar and probably sounds and looks better than the Gibson Les Paul Studio, plus it's quite allot cheaper. The only thing is that the Custom is not hand made.
