This guitar is definately a great buy. It looks great (especially in the worn cherry finish!), sounds great and feels amazing to play. this guitar is a set-neck which means the neck and the body are one piece as opposed to a bolt neck. The Epiphone les paul Studio sounds great on "clean" setting on an amplifier and sounds even better when you crank up the distortion. over all this is a WICKED guitar! I would certainlyu recomend this guitar to a friend. (infact, I already have!) :D

Epiphone LP Studio in Chameleon paint. I love this guitar, probably gets more playtime than anything in my collection. Set neck, flawless paint finish. Slightly dodgy fretboard, not in terms of manufacture, just the wood isn't great quality. Still, does the job well.Slight fret buzz on the low E 14th Fret was the only problem out of the box, very quickly & easily fixed.
Decent output levels from the standard Epi pickups, but played raw into an amp they are a little muddy compared directly to my Burny JLP-50. I haven't felt any need to mess with the wiring, so I can't comment on whether the very slightly flat tone is down to electrics or the pups themselves.
I now play this through a Boss GT-10 into a Peavey ValveKing, and to be honest the incredible (and nearly endless) range of tones available from the GT-10 render my concerns about the tone irrelevant - it just sounds superb. Action is exceptionally low and buzz-free, and the sustain is good - I play anything from Blues through Surf to Rise Against/Offspring and this guitar handles it all very nicely.
Overall, I reckon there's not a lot of better value guitars out there.

Awesome guitar for the price. With timeless looks and that classic L.P. feel you cant complain at all. Beautiful shine on parts and body. For stock pickups, they sound really, really good and look almost as good. Beefy neck profile. One of the worlds greatest guitarists - Slash has played this exact guitar on a few occasions and who can question the choice of the man himself. Overall the Epiphone Les Paul Studio wine red is a ripping axe whatever your style is. 10/10

My Worn Cherry Studio has a faint mark on the paintwork caused by a falling cereal bowl (don't ask!!). Does this point to a likelihood of picking up more dents when gigging?

Excellent sound quality, good pick ups and brilliant Bridge. Overall the Epiphone Les Paul Studio is a fantastic guitar.
