A once decent cereal is given a bland, disgusting flavour with a funny after taste. Don't they taste test? Don't forget to add plenty of raisins and walnuts.

If you can manage to arrange this in a small bowl with the biscuit standing up and milk half filling the bowl - and eat the contents within about 30 seconds, you might enjoy this cereal as it stays light and crunchy. If you prefer something veering between cold porridge and cement, by all means leave it a bit longer! The latter is revolting to me, so all other activity has to be dropped to eat this cereal fast enough!! I’m sure it used to have a much more interesting texture, so am disappointed that the recipe seems to have been changed so much. That said, I appreciate having an oat based cereal - but this over refined product may have a countering effect on the blood sugar benefits that beta glucans can usually provide through oats.

I loved Oatibix, ate it for years but recently after eating it, I’ve been getting stomach cramps and a hot tingling sensation in my arms and sometimes a feeling as if my throat was closing up - obvious allergic reactions. Then I discovered the dreaded “New Recipe” sign written on the box and that the oat content had been reduced in favour of the addition of Niacin amongst others. Here’s what the literature has to say about Niacin: “Side effects may include diarrhea, headache, stomach discomfort, and bloating. High doses (50 mg or more) of niacin can cause side effects. The most common side effect is called "niacin flush," which is a burning, tingling sensation in the face and chest, and red or flushed skin.“ “The supplement has been linked with liver damage, can cause hypotension and might activate a peptic ulcer. Taking niacin also might worsen allergies, gallbladder disease and symptoms of certain thyroid disorders. If you have diabetes, niacin can interfere with blood glucose control.“

As a keen consumer of Weetabix thought I'd give Oatibix a try. Apparently they have introduced a 'new recipe' version of them and I hadn't tried the original ones so I can't compare. I've got to be honest, I thought they were awful. So bland I didn't even finish what I had in the bowl. I told my wife, who thought the same, to give the rest of the box to the mother in law. Ah well, back to good old Weetabix for me.

I loved Oatibix and have bought it fir years. I have a wheat intolerance so cannot eat Weetabix. I do not like your new recipe at all. Unfortunately, I won't be buying it again.

The new recipe has ruined what was my favourite cereal. It tastes more similar to Weetabix now and is nothing like the tasty and filling cereal that it was before. Will never buy again. Very disappointing.

We have been having Oatibix for years preferring the texture to Weetabix. Now due to 'new improved recipe' they are indistinguishable from Weetabix in both texture and flavour. Breakfast ruined will have to search for another brand closer to original Oatibix. If if ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind.

I tried these to get off wheat and really like them. I have them with loads of skimmed milk and a little sprinkle of Stevia. I don't think I drink enough liquid so lots of milk is good and the cereal isn't too thick.

I love these, but then I like my Weetabix (or Oatibix!) soaked in milk and left for 10 mins in the fridge until they turn to rich thick cement : ) These add an extra creamy taste/texture - I often have 1 Oatibix and 1 Weetabix together as you get the best of both worlds that way - Weetabix have a more defined malty flavour but these make it all extra creamy.

Just dissloves with milk then turbs into a sticky lump. Stick to granola or make your own muesli as whole oats are much healthier than ground up like this

I bought these as a wheat free alternative to Weetabix and they are awful! Absorbs milk like nothing else and becomes a stodgy, lumpy horrible mess. I couldn't even stomach it with fruit or honey. Avoid!! Very disappointed.

Weetabix is my favourite cereal, I have it plain with milk but no sugar. I love porridge from oats in the winter, again no sugar. So, in theory, I should like Oatabix, especially as they're from the same makers as Weetabix. I tried Oatabix and they're horrible; they taste floury, and they are too sweet. Steer clear of this cereal.

Had two attempts at eating these (love Weetabix so thought these would be similar), but had to throw the whole bowlful away both times as they were so disgusting. Indeed threw the rest of the pack away into the garden, but even the birds didn't like them!! I imagine this is what compressed sawdust tastes like and I'm afraid I cannot find anything good to say about them. A waste of money!

I love Weetabix and when out shopping saw Oatibix and thought I would give them a try.
First impressions were good, lighter than Weetabix with an almost golden look to them. I found I had to put a lot more milk on them in comparison to Weetabix as they were rather tough to get the spoon into!
Sprinkled with a little sugar really didn't help with the flavour for me. I can only compare them to glorified cardboard! I found the taste awful, very manufactured and chemically. I had my husband try them also and he experienced the same thing.
I was not impressed, the rest of the box was quickly disposed of.

I recently purchased a packet of Oatibix after reading recent reviews strongly recommending its use because of the (apparently) healthy attributes. I was so looking forward to trying this product, however, I was most disappointed, in fact I was absolutely disgusted with the taste and, after enduring almost a quarter of a biscuit, I gave up and decided to throw the remainder of the first biscuit and the whole contents of my newly acquired packet in the bin. I wouldn't even feed this to the birds!!.

Weetabix Oatibix is the toughest cereal I've ever tried to eat. Absorbs milk like
an industrial sponge. Very stodgy and it will not last long or sell well in my view
